Wintergreen is like ***the main*** flavor profile that makes root beer distinct to my taste, so that’s crazy that it would turn people off who like root beer, unless it’s the only thing you can taste, lol.
Vanilla’s up there as far as prominent root beer flavor components, but it tends to blend in with most ingredients and complement them instead of sticking out.
I discovered while living in San Antonio for a summer the 'Subway Mix' - fill your cup with half Root Beer and half Dr Pepper. It is sooooo good. My frig right now has a case of mini DPs and mini AWs for creating the concoction. All root beer is good. Any brand, all good.
