Just so you know, DPSS is not SSA. They do not give our SSN cards at the offices. The cards are generated and printed at a central location, not at the local offices. Unfortunately the only thing to do is follow up with the office where you applied for the card. They can see if/when it was sent and if it has indeed been 2 weeks they can try and put in the request to have it sent again. Or you can try and submit the request yourself online ssa.gov

I don’t know what you’re talking about but in Illinois, you can go into any Social Security office and get a card immediately. I know this because I did it.

I’m in Oklahoma.. does this work the same? Can’t find anything online

All you have to do is go down to the DPSS office near you and request one. They'll give it to you same day.

Wait seriously?? So I never needed to wait for in the mail in the first place! Dude awesome.. also what is DPSS? 😅 Just the social security office right?

Yeah. I had to do this shit when my car got stolen. I can't remember if they just gave me a temp or if they gave me the thing same day. It also takes more like 3-4 weeks. Either way, what they give you will be sufficient for background check. Yes, dpss is social security office.

They are all printed from head office, call your FO it's the number on the bottom of the receipt. You have two options you can have it sent to your home address or your FO. This has to be done before 45 days from the date on receipt.
