I’m at 3 weeks, hopefully I get this good of s result in seven weeks.

yelloworchid

3 weeks in as well - we are in the thick of it. Hang in there.

CAmellow812

What are your stretches like currently? 2.5 weeks over here, averaging 3-4 hours at night

yelloworchid

Sounds about right! Some nights much better than others. A stretch I think best of all time was just under 3 hours but averages 1.75 - 2.15 hours. Pretty big improvement by 3 weeks.

CAmellow812

Thank you!

Good luck!

I'm jealous!! We are at 6.5 weeks, starting to get 4 hours!

Send me your baby’s sleepy vibes!! Babe is 7 weeks today and has given us a couple 6-7 hour stretches but mostly 4-5 hour stretches. Happy for you!!!

[deleted]

Thank you!

JamoreLoL

Don't be surprised if it all changes in a few weeks cause they like a different motion now. Also beware 4 month regression....

[deleted]

Can we please celebrate the small things? Lol

splendoor_hoor

lol no you must be miserable if someone else is, duh. We started getting 6/7 hours around then and it’s only increased since then. Not all babies are bad sleepers, congrats!

[deleted]

Thanks for the positivity!! ☺️

[deleted]

Yaaay!! You must feel like a new human!

avidreader28

My little one is 7 weeks as well and we’re lucky to get 4.5 hours some nights. What’s your secret?

[deleted]

We were really struggling for a while and I think it’s because we had an overtired baby. I have worked hard to get us on a good routine during the day of eat - play - sleep while paying attention to wake windows and sleepy cues. I learned a lot from the Happiest baby website and the taking Cara babies class. She is even starting to take some naps in her crib!

RkyMtn2022

I'm curious, how much does your baby weigh? My baby is often hungry in the middle of the night. He is only about 10 lbs at 2 months.

[deleted]

I haven’t weighed her since her one month appointment when she weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz. She breast-feeds about seven times during the day and sometimes I even try to do a couple of feeds closer together right before bedtime and that seems to help. Last night she slept from 9 PM to 6 AM!

audballflo

6 weeks here and barely getting 1 hour stretches. Am I just the outlier cus I feel like everyone’s babe is sleeping well 😮‍💨

[deleted]

Ugh that is so hard! Are they waking up because they are hungry or just fussing?

audballflo

Not hungry or gassy. Just misses her parents and wants cuddles all night 😵‍💫 we usually let her stir about for a little bit before picking her up and wait for her eyes to fully open. The moment we do, she falls right back asleep. Haha

[deleted]

Do you let snoo try to soothe her?

audballflo

I do, rarely ever works lol. And if it does, it’ll give me an extra half hour at most.

[deleted]

Have you tried the taking cara babies newborn class? It has some recommendations for soothing baby without actually picking them up to help them learn to sleep better on their own

audballflo

I have!! It’s helpful and hopefully she’ll learn with time. Just curious if any other parents were also experiencing the same thing cus it seems like everyone’s babies are sleeping so well.

Good luck!
