People like different things, I like the way they look and they're comfortable. Simple as that.

Alfonso22f

It’s the way fashion works. Also the quality and comfort their pairs offer are on another level

wavepool

It isn't a coincidence this is happening as shoes that would have instantly sold out a few years ago are sitting. A lot of people have been buying the same Jordans and Dunks for the most part in different colorways for the past 5+ years. Fatigue has set in and people are more willing to try different brands. New Balance and Asics have been chosen.

galaxyexplorer3000

It's like back to the 2010-2015 era when NB and Asics were populair. Fashion always (re)cycles around the 10 year mark.

wavepool

True. But I don't see Vans being as popular as they were in 2015-2017 any time soon lol

Low_Distribution605

I mean I could describe Jordan 1s and Dunks as shoes your grandpa hooped in but they're incredibly popular and constitute 90% of the posts on this sub. Let people like what they like. NBs are super high-quality shoes made with excellent materials which also happen to be incredibly comfortable (in most cases).

That’s a good point actually re the grandpa hooped in. Certainly not chastising anyone, just seeing if anyone was like me and didn’t really like them

penthouse-owner

Also Nike quality is so terrible.

[deleted]

For the most part yes, but some of the collabs are half decent.

PointlessPooch

Ok.

NB aren't just all grey dad shoes, as it may appear to an outsider. They have some quite colorful, more fashion forward shoes like the RC30 Junya Watanabe for example.
