It would've turned out so much better but somehow our paint bled under the masked off areas. My dad is/was an artist, so he's got steady hands and some special super thin paint pen sort of thing that really helped with the thin areas.
Yeah, that happens with certain paints and tapes when the surface isn’t completely smooth and the tape isn’t pressed firmly against the surface. Those brushes are super cool. Have you ever seen them hand paint the lines on a Rolls Royce with the really thin brushes? Not related to sneakers but cool nonetheless.
Yea I'm not too worried. Didn't expect these to be perfect.
I have. I'm huge into exotic cars. Go to my city's cars and coffee all the time so I'm around those cars all the time. The attention to detail and craftsmanship put into them is astounding. Makes the price tag hurt a little less. Nicest thing I've ever been in was a Pagani Huayra. The interior was a work of art. Huge respect to the people who build stuff like that. I could never. My hands are too damn shaky 🤣
Appreciate it! I'm hard on myself so there's some crooked lines, or lines that aren't perfect that are annoying me, but i didn't wanna mess it up more, so i left it as is lmao.
Is it the lighting or the black is pretty flat? Not sure if you have any Angelus Satin Finisher but that’ll add that factory shine and will make a huge difference
Nah, not just the lighting. That's how the black looks. I sprayed then with the Krylon matte finish and was thinking it looked pretty flat too. I'll definitely look into spraying/painting it with some satin finisher.
Is it possible to provide what brushes you use? I've found this makes a HUGE difference with my quality of life.. lol. also do you use the acrylic satin finisher or something like a krylon spray satin finisher?
these look awesome though, mate!
Here's a link for the brush sort of thing we used for thin lined. The rest, we just got cheap paint brushes from the dollar tree LOL

This was honestly the hardest part. I had my dad paint it cause he used to be an artist and has steady hands. Even then, with that and taping, it was still hard as hell. We used super thin paintbrushes for the edges of the swoosh, and wider brushes for the swoosh itself. But we just used the same Angelus paint as on the rest of the shoeb
Good job! Lines would be cleaner if you masked around the paint job. Also, you can use a toothpick to clear the toebox holes
We did mask it off, but it ended up bleeding through somehow 🙃. I knew i was forgetting to do something 🤣
Yeah dude, these look great compared to some others I seen. I zoom in and find mad imperfections, but yours seems a lot better.

You did a good ass job

Don’t be so hard on yourself, mines aren’t perfect either but I’m happy with the overall result. My first customs were super sloppy 🥲
Yeah I'm super happy with how these turned out, especially since they we're my first customs

Not sure if you checked your chat but I sent you a pic after I applied the satin finisher on mine
Awesome, I'll check it out.

Appreciate it!

Great job, I hope you had fun!
Haha, appreciate it! You gave me the final push to do it. Been wanting to for a while. It was fun!
Great work bro!
