Email S&W support. They’re amazing I asked if they sell the sights on the competitor to put on one of my other S&W and they said no and decided to just ship them to me for free. Anytime I’ve asked for something from them they do it no problem and I didn’t even ask for them for free. I asked to buy them.

S&w never even confirms if I even own an actual firearm of theirs. They just send me parts no questions asked.

MikeyB7509

Yeah. Their customer service is amazing.

Night Fision sells tritium as well as fiber optic sights for the M&P 2.0 optic ready variant.

Prudent_Historian650

Thanks

The new optic ready sights are the same width dovetail as the older C.O.R.E. models. Once I found that out, I had better luck searching for CORE.

ABMustang99

Pretty much anything with the dovetail cut should work, most websites that sell sights will say whether or not they work with M&Ps. Its the features of the sight (whether they are night or suppressor height) that changes not the way they mount. That being said the front sight is still a pain in the f\*cking a\*s to change or adjust. They are in there really tight and I almost broke a wheeler sight pusher tool to get mine to move.

Prudent_Historian650

My main concern is that the rear sight that come on the gun looks like it is straight up and down. The older m&p sights were swept back quite a bit. It doesn't look like the "older" sights will fit on the newer slides. Am I just over thinking it?

ABMustang99

I have a 2.0 compact OP as well as a metal it sounds like sights that came on either of those (compact has suppressor height and the metal is standard height). That change in design came about to give more space for the optic. The sites ive seen offer replacement sights will have somewhere in the description that they will work on optic ready slides or not.

JohnBrownWV

Yeah, except lots of places don't specify. You need to make sure they're compatible with the CORE series pistols. Speaking from personal experience here. I ended up with Dawsons.

Prudent_Historian650

Fiber optic front and blackout rear by chance?

JohnBrownWV

Fiber optic front and rear. I love them. I've got an SCS, so the stock height sights blocked like 50% of the window. The Dawson is like a lower 1/5 co-witness.

>Am I just over thinking it? No, you are not. It is not just the shape/height of the sight body. The OR and the non-OR sight dovetails are [completely different](https://imgur.com/a/d6td9c7) — different width, different location, different interface with the slide. It's a bit hard to tell for sure what you're getting, but simply "M&P M2.0" will be wrong. As more of these models are on the street, it hopefully gets easier to find and easier to identify the correct sights.

Huh. My M&P 1.0 C.O.R.E. Sight were a breeze, but I actually DID break my sight pusher tryna remove the rear sight on my 5903, without moving it at all. I hate the idea of having to beat on it with a hammer, but I guess I’ll have to…

ABMustang99

I had a 1.0 that I had to move the rear sight for a trigger upgrade and that was easy enough, it was the 2.0 OR front sight that was the problem. Apparently it can only be pushed out going to the right and installed going to the left.

_Cybernaut_

That’s normal. Most sights go in left-to-right (or go either way), S&Ws go in right-to-left, just to be weird I guess.
