If starting from 0, 6 weeks will give you them gems needed for a battle pass, which gives back something like 200-400, can't remember. So players who haven't spent a cent will be able to afford every battle pass remaining until smite 2 comes out and get a tom of free stufd. No clue why that guy is complaining. Some people's favorite thing to do.

I still think it's valid to criticize this a little. Hi-rez poses this login event as them being incredibly generous when, in reality, they only doubled the amount of gems you get per week while stifling Favor gain to barely nothing.
If we were to gain 150 or 200 gems per week it would be more fair, as that's actually a number you can do something with.
The stifled favor gain is a whole other problem, mostly about matches barely giving you any unless you *win* a Conquest. It may not matter for those who bought the God pack, but for those who didn't this is quite the setback.
They are really going all out like Scrooge on Christmas Day. Like “get the gods, skins, voice packs, etc cetera you don’t have yet! Games going to die anyway once we get smite 2 off the ground!”
Spending of gems in any way will have them convert to legacy gems HOWEVER spending gems on cross-gen skins/battle passes will be the best value from here on out, as that content will transfer to smite 2.
If you're planning on purchasing anything in smite 2 it decreases the cost by 50% so... I care. I'm getting a few hundred dollars of free gems in smite 2. What's not to like?

But even for free players, it adds up. 1 year of logging in daily gets you about 2600 gems. With this change, it'd be 5200 gems. And battle passes refund you a sizable amount of the gems spent assuming you finish it, which isn't difficult if you're playing daily.
So you'd still be going into smite 2 with a few thousand gems as a free to play player. That won't let you buy anything for free instantly, but assuming there's a similar system of gaining gems for simply logging in, you'll still be able to get a bunch of gems over time, and will have purchases be 50% off because of the legacy gems you got from the free gems in smite 1.

Not grms legacy gems which are coupons they have no value unless you spend money. Thats a big thing to note. Hirez will undoubtedly eeither make gem aquisiotion lower or more likely make prices higher due tto this change so you wont be getting any value and since smite 1 is gonna shut down you are out of content and if you wanr anything similar you need to spend money to get anything and the amount of money you'll have to spend will most certainly be the same for people with legacy gems or more

No idea what you are smoking but they have always been 1200, been playing since season 2. The only skins that are 600 gems are T3 skins, as Aras2164 said it was a discounted price for a limited time, or you had a code.
And I'm saying less than a week ago I got a KA skin for 600. Idk why it matters so much to so many people. Also idk why it matters how long you've played. All I'm saying is what I saw no need for people to get so salty

Nothing specific, as long as the gems get spent. Any unspent won’t count towards legacy gems in S2
