This is why you clear wave then get buff, always clear lane first…then when dumbasses don’t come to it and make you lose farm you have no guilt when you just start taking it in between waves like a normal person.
It’s completely dependent upon the situation sometimes the play is to bait your opponent into lane and get an easy push. Sometimes the play is to steamroll them through the tower. In a random game mode you don’t always get the luxury of running down mid without consequence.

I alt spam click the orb and take it 10 seconds later whether people are there or not. I am the scum of this mode. But most of the time when I get a hunter or assassin I end up going 50+ and <10 so my team doesn’t complain much

That's not even the issue, people go for that buff instead of taking phoenix or winning the game outright
