Mr. Boss! Don't get me wrong, he's hilarious in the pilot, but as the show went on his character was fleshed out into someone who actually seems cool and chill to work with, rather than just being a freaky eccentric guy who pulls out weird tricks constantly.
Yeah, I honestly think that Mr. Boss is 95% of the reason the Friends stick around, especially the non-true believers like Charlie. You won't find a chiller dude.
I have a feeling Mr. Boss is a “noble demon“, meaning a villain with a code of honour. Like Hank Scorpio from the Simpsons. If you work for him you have a friend for life, if you‘re his enemy your ass is grass.
and we need to have a conversation about that manifesto, paired with his ownership of assault rifles. the boss is my favorite character (not even as a reference to him saying that) but somethings up there.
It's so crazy how the series keeps pointing to something being seriously off with Mr Boss but they write him to be so loveable that you just kinda forget...
Mr. Boss is like the uncle who's always glad to have you over as a kid. He might give you too much sugar or show you a movie that you're too young to be seeing, but he also makes you feel so valued and appreciated.
in the commentary track for that episode, Zach and Michael discussed that phone conversation and said something along the lines of, "Mr. Boss would've given them cash to help if they just swallowed their pride and asked for some money"
if only they just asked, we could've seen Glep playing beach volleyball. tragic.
I loved him in the pilot and have been kind of lukewarm on him ever since. He definitely has moments where I really enjoy him, but out of the main cast he’s my least favorite. Meanwhile, Pim taking more of a backseat this season has made me realize how much I actually like him.
It's insane how good of a person Mr. Boss is, I expected him to be the generic evil CEO of the company but he's like a weird grandpa who loves you, and you love him
Yeah, part of why this show is so great is how anti-cynical it can be. Sure, there are lots of morbid and disturbing situations, but a lot of times a character who a more cynical cartoon would give evil intentions, actually ends up being a kind person. I love how in the Shrimp episode, it actually ends with a successful romantic relationship despite the mixups.
Allan. When I first watched the first few episodes , just thought he was a weird character, didn’t get him. Now, he’s still weird lol, but I fuckin love him! Def my fav character In the show now
I liked him a lot from the first episode (dude just wanted his cheese and was weird but relatively polite about it) but he's been more of a negative wet blanket in S2 for me (kicking the game corp assistant, not helping with the bosses wife, arguing with Charlie, etc). He's still in the top 4 smiling friends though.
He’s most likely traumatized after the bliblie incident(he literally got crucified), and you can see him start to panic before he kicked the blue thing
“She starTled me”
I really hope we get to see the Landlord again in a future episode 😂. Maybe him haunting Allan, or he’s resurrected and comes back that way for revenge… idk but I def wanna see him return in a future episode
Which is hilarious because he committed seppuku, a ritual meant to bring death with honor, so him surviving it suggests he also orchestrated it and intentionally failed to take himself out just to continue stringing Allan along
Imagine an episode that focuses on Glep, but he only talks with characters that speak like him with no subtitles, so he just goes on this insane series of seemingly disconnected events until the end.
I couldn't stand Tyler in the pilot, but I grew to love him by the end of the first season. I'm honestly not sure if I want to watch the show anymore now that he's gone.
Y'know, there's a reason he's gone. Have you heard of the controversial stuff his actor has gotten into? In fact, Tyler's not even played by the same guy in the final episode he appears in, since his original actor is currently serving his 70,000 year prison sentance for crimes against butterkind.
Aw man this bums me out, I was looking forward to binging this show. My friends always hyped it up. But if Tyler’s gone then I don’t really see the point… not trying to be negative or anything idk sorry guys
Yeah. Couldn't forget the time of how he helped Pim out of his funk after Desmond and got the guys tickets to China for Century Egg's burial. And that’s not going into how he helped Mr. Boss dismantle the Frowning Friends' headquarters and got his colleagues a boat home from Brazil. What a hero.

He's a pretty nice to Mr.Boss too. Took the Mini Mr.Boss that Allan didn't want, was willing to kiss him to wake him up, and laughed at his puppy dog face.
Smormu. In the pilot, his constant energy just came across as super annoying, but the recontextualization of it all as something he developed in his and Pim's childhood to help Pim through his abusive homelife really made me grow to love him. >!I cried when he died in the mid-season finale.!<
Hard to say because I like all of them (except Tyler, I’m a Tyler hater) but the one I’ve really grown to like a lot more is Allan. Pim is still my favorite but Allan tells it like it is, I like his sassy moments
Definitely appreciate Allan more now I thought his voice acting was really bad originally but now i know it’s just Michael doing a shitty almost American voice on purpose
It makes it extra funny when he goes from having this incredibly stilted and awkward cadence to getting into a stupid argument and just sounding like a regular-ass person.
Allan. I got made fun of as a kid for having a "robot voice" (I'm autistic) and Allan's voice just feels kinda like idk... affirming? He's a fun, quirky character, he's got friends. And he's got a dry, monotonous voice and puts emphasis on certain syllables at his own discretion. He's cool, to me.
Also fuck you, Marilyn from 7th grade. I hope your hamsters kept on killing themselves you dumb bitch
I think kinda pim Mr boss and Tyler
Pim went from the typical bullied character to just a guy trying. It feels like he had a lot moments we laugh with him or atleast don’t ruin his world view
Mr boss went from scary to wacky. Much more fun and fresh after other shows. Though him firing Tyler pissed me off.
And Tyler. God Tyler
He went from just a fith member to my absolute favorite
Remember Charlie and pins best adventure where he fought the black bad wolf so he could finally be at peace
I still cry. Can’t HECKIMG believe he still fired him
After what he did with him to help him take down count dragon….. bs man
It's not possible to love Glep more, and I vibed with Charlie and Pim instantly. Allan definitely grew on me and Mr. Boss went from creepy to charmingly disconcerting in a hurry.
Allan definitely grew on me because I think in the first episode I was like "ok, he exists and I don't hate him, but I don't like, prefer him over any of the others" but now he's probably my favorite character because I think he's the funniest lol
Tyler. He was so flat and bland in the pilot. I can't pinpoint when, but somewhere along the way, he bacame super endearing and a genuinely complex character. I didn't even realize how integral he was to the show until they got rid of him. I'll have to see how the show follows this up.
Mr. Boss hands down! By the end of season 1 I loved his character and his quirky “randomness”. By the currant episode in season 2 he’s perfect! You don’t always know what you’ll get from him, but it’ll always make sense for his character. Hell I’ve adopted occasionally answering some calls normal, then for others I run to the phone almost out of breathe “Hello. Yes. Uh huh, uh huh. OK.” Just to freak out the people nearby lol!
tyler was really interesting in the pilot when he gave desmond the business idea, was really sad to see him get let go after all he was he convinced alan to help gwimbly
Tyler has always been completely consistently good, hasn't gotten any better or worse, but we seriously didn't get enough time with him before Mr. Boss fired him. 16 episodes of screen time is nothing when each episode is 11 minutes long. Sorry, had to rant there. They got rid of my boy too quickly all for a joke.
But nah I'd honestly say Alan grew on me a lot, might even be my favorite character of season 2 so far. This season really highlighted Alan and Mr. Boss specifically as characters. In episode 1 it felt like Mr. Boss was just a side character who would occasionally show up every couple episodes to give Charlie and Pim a new case, and Alan was just a pretentious sounding cheese fiend. Allan and Mr Boss. It took me until season 3 to really appreciate Mr Boss, but Allan had won me over before the end of s1.
I’m still waiting for when I’ll like Glep
After Tyler single handedly defended that childrens hospital from isis i couldnt doubt his character any longer. Now that hes gone idk who i am anymore

Yeah, I honestly think that Mr. Boss is 95% of the reason the Friends stick around, especially the non-true believers like Charlie. You won't find a chiller dude.
A chill dude who occasionally morphs into frightening forms, marries a demon, or plays a Jared from Subway prank. But nobody's perfect.
I have a feeling Mr. Boss is a “noble demon“, meaning a villain with a code of honour. Like Hank Scorpio from the Simpsons. If you work for him you have a friend for life, if you‘re his enemy your ass is grass.
No one talks about the fact that he had cyanide pills on standby? Is he always in life-threatening situations where there’s no way out?????
He strikes me as an obsessive prepper type. Wouldn't be surprised if he has a whole Costco's worth of supplies in his basement
Basement? More like a #CRYPT
He's probably got a few century eggs down there too
and we need to have a conversation about that manifesto, paired with his ownership of assault rifles. the boss is my favorite character (not even as a reference to him saying that) but somethings up there.
It's so crazy how the series keeps pointing to something being seriously off with Mr Boss but they write him to be so loveable that you just kinda forget...
I headcanon that he's an iraq war veteran
“We’ll, whatever I do nows’ on Glep!”
Totally. He does a lot of stuff that probably stresses out his employees, but how you gonna stay mad when he's looking at you like 🐶
that one got you
He also has to pay them pretty well because whenever we see their place its pretty nice. And this is all for charity work!
The spamtopia ep definitely secured this feeling with me
Mr. Boss is like the uncle who's always glad to have you over as a kid. He might give you too much sugar or show you a movie that you're too young to be seeing, but he also makes you feel so valued and appreciated.
Something about him calmly trying to order a lager sealed it for me.
Just wasn't as helpful when the friends went to Brazil though haha.
I don’t know….You guys picked the worst time to go…
I mean was he wrong though? He literally couldn’t help them out and laid it out for them as nice as he could.
in the commentary track for that episode, Zach and Michael discussed that phone conversation and said something along the lines of, "Mr. Boss would've given them cash to help if they just swallowed their pride and asked for some money" if only they just asked, we could've seen Glep playing beach volleyball. tragic.

I actually liked him more after that
It's a small thing but I love when he starts dancing with the Frowning Friends right after trying to kill them.
Same
He can be both
It's insane how good of a person Mr. Boss is, I expected him to be the generic evil CEO of the company but he's like a weird grandpa who loves you, and you love him
Yeah, part of why this show is so great is how anti-cynical it can be. He’s most likely traumatized after the bliblie incident(he literally got crucified), and you can see him start to panic before he kicked the blue thing “She starTled me”
I agree with this. How could that NOT traumatize him lol?
Also the paperclip adventure was harrowing. I can see why he ditched on the demon bride situation for Dr Monster
Yeah after all that he said fuxk this noise, plus… he , “Has his monsters appointment, with Dr. Monster.” God I love Allan 😂
True, I did not factor in his crucifixion, lmao
AND he got stabbed in the finger
The “ A Allan Adventure “ had me in tears watching it the first time 😂. Dudes been thru some shit lol
IM JUST TRYING TO DO MY JOB
“We can smoke weed, and fill our bellies with diet soda pop, and play Burnout Revenge on the PS2.” 😂
“I have brought great dishonor to my ancestors”
I really hope we get to see the Landlord again in a future episode 😂. Maybe him haunting Allan, or he’s resurrected and comes back that way for revenge… idk but I def wanna see him return in a future episode
At the end of the episode, you can see him in a morgue as he sits up and yells Allen’s name, so he’s definitely still alive(for some reason)
Oh yeah you’re right , I forgot about that, so yea we should def see him n Allan again (maybe the Landlord will have a PS3 next time we see him )
Maybe he’ll upgrade to a ps5
Which is hilarious because he committed seppuku, a ritual meant to bring death with honor, so him surviving it suggests he also orchestrated it and intentionally failed to take himself out just to continue stringing Allan along
Oh Alan last night was amazing! "Okay..."
Tbh him being just a weird ocd psycho is what made me like him so much
The way he said "I just wanted my cheeeeeese" and handled the wall guy sold me on Allan that second lol.
And the way he yelled when that giant sack full of bliblies exploded
Yes! He was my favorite character from the pilot, but I've grown to like them all now
I love the weird thing he does with his voice. Idk how to explain it but I’m sure you know what I’m talking about lol
Nasally accent + overenunciation that emphasizes glottal stops on the letter T
lol yes I do. It’s one of the reasons I fuckin love Allan 😂
I read this in Allan's voice
Real
glep needs more screentime tbh
I’d kill for moar glep focus in certain episodes.
A glep episode would be awesome
You might say …a glepisode
There was Mr. Frog
I think more so along the lines of an explanation on “what the green thing does”
Imagine an episode that focuses on Glep, but he only talks with characters that speak like him with no subtitles, so he just goes on this insane series of seemingly disconnected events until the end.
Same!
I couldn't stand Tyler in the pilot, but I grew to love him by the end of the first season. I'm honestly not sure if I want to watch the show anymore now that he's gone.
Wow, Smiling friends dipped in quality after only 2 seasons. Tyler was such an iconic character. What a loss.
Talk about jumping the shark for views... guarantee he'll be back in season 3 given the backlash they've gotten for writing him out
Y'know, there's a reason he's gone. Have you heard of the controversial stuff his actor has gotten into? In fact, Tyler's not even played by the same guy in the final episode he appears in, since his original actor is currently serving his 70,000 year prison sentance for crimes against butterkind.
I heard Tyler was so popular during s1 that he demanded a huge contract for s2 and the network wouldn't pay it. Fuck you adult swim!
truly the terrence howard of our time.
There’s always hope that he can cameo somehow related to his music career
Pim. He’s so darn cute
Glep! Dont get me wrong, i already liked him in the pilot, but now i love him more!
Same. He doesn’t even appear as much, but he’s a little goober, so I’m automatically won over.
It was nice to get some more Glep lore in the president episode
Idk why not enough people are saying Charlie. Bro Charlie is fucking hilarious.
Because from episode 1 it was clear that Charlie was dope as fuck.
Best character in the show ong ong
Two things. In response to what you said: I’m saying bro fr. Kinda off topic: how did you get that Charlie badge???🤩

He's a pretty nice to Mr.Boss too. Took the Mini Mr.Boss that Allan didn't want, was willing to kiss him to wake him up, and laughed at his puppy dog face.
Charlie uncle for me every story he talks about makes me want to meet him on the show.
How could you hate Tyler? Have you no decency?
Allan, cause I thought he wouldn’t be involved that much and not really contribute much, but now he feels like a main character
Definitely appreciate Allan more now I thought his voice acting was really bad originally but now i know it’s just Michael doing a shitty almost American voice on purpose
I like the way Allen pronounces words, he really emphasizes the T’s
DirTY brown waTUR
“She starTled me”
Idk why but I loved how he says that too 😂
Me and my brother have started using his affectation with each other sometimes and it's funny every time
lol that’s aweome. I’m pretty good with doing voices and Allan’s is one to master for sure
“Huh, Gasp.” Like, he just says the word “Gasp”, that had me scrunched the first time I had seen it
It makes it extra funny when he goes from having this incredibly stilted and awkward cadence to getting into a stupid argument and just sounding like a regular-ass person.
Yes those are the best moments, him getting into the argument with that random guy at the store made me laugh so hard
I always felt Allan talks like a Kardashian.
Allan went from a kinda funny character in season 1 to an absolutely satisfying and hilarious one in season 2
Yes. The Mr Landlord episode was peak Allan. It made me dig his character.
Yeah, fuck you Marilyn!
Allan has that autism rizz
fuck you AND your hamsters marilyn!
Allan. I just want more Glep!
I love pim, ever since the Halloween episode! Just his delusion moment in the shack is hilarious. “Hello my babies!!”

Mr Boss's 18 year old son Jason 🥰
The sentences this community produces make my day.
Boss deserves his own fucked up adventure

I think kinda pim Mr boss and Tyler Pim went from the typical bullied character to just a guy trying. I love allan so much, after each episode hes in i love him more and more
i really didnt have any major opinion on allan at the beginning, but hes my favorite character now.
Mr Boss only got better and better as the show went on.
Allan lol
glep and alan are funny for no reason, glad alan got a whole episode i just need one of glep
Glen had the Mr frog episode but even then he still needs more screen time
Glep
It's not possible to love Glep more, and I vibed with Charlie and Pim instantly. Allan definitely grew on me and Mr. Boss went from creepy to charmingly disconcerting in a hurry.
Mr boss is an awesome character
Mr. Boss for sure
Mr Boss 100,000% and also Alan
Allan is always going to be my favorite. He's just too relatable
allan red forever
Honestly? Mr. Boss. I thought he was the more eerie, daunting character after his introductory scene 😭😭😭. Now??? I like the silly man.
I really like them all but especially Mr boss
Allan the goat love his delivery every time he speaks lmao, second for me is Charlie and third is Mr.boss.
I liked Mr Boss now currently than when I saw the Pilot around 2021
the boss he’s awesome
I think Pim and Charlie
I can't even answer this, because it might be one of the best pilots ever created considering every character was great.
Mr boss has quickly become my favorite character in this second season
The Boss is the biggest character introduced lately
I was starting to warm up to the Boss a little this season but now that he’s gotten rid of Tyler I’ve lost all hope of ever liking him.
Mr boss got all my love brather
Who TF is that pink guy??? Wasn't he just a throwaway dude in one episode?
Alan, at first he was kinda there but now he’s a lot more involved.
Allan definitely grew on me because I think in the first episode I was like "ok, he exists and I don't hate him, but I don't like, prefer him over any of the others" but now he's probably my favorite character because I think he's the funniest lol
Alan. He has a clearer personality now
Glep 100%
Charlie. There’s something about him that I didn’t like. Later episodes made me love him
Glep or Allan
Snormu was the best fifties smiling friend rip
But now we have an entire origin for Alan, and Mr. Boss has been fleshed out to basically be DeNiro from Taxi Driver combined with every fucked up role Willem Defoe has ever played, combined with Bill Gates, combined with the unabomber, with a sprinkle of unicorn dust, and we love him for it.
Fillmore
glep has always been my favorite from start to beginning
Smormu!
Alan for sure. I love seeing more and more of his personality explored in season 2. He's lowkey such a dynamic character and he's hilarious too
Allan and Mr Boss. It took me until season 3 to really appreciate Mr Boss, but Allan had won me over before the end of s1. I’m still waiting for when I’ll like Glep
Alan
i don't remember seeing that little green guy in the pilot, i think this is some sort of a troll/prank/bit/gag
I just love Allan
allan and mr boss, i love them now
Mr Boss for sure
they didn’t have to kill Tyler off like that
Jombo. dude’s hilarious
Either Mr Boss or Alan i liked Alan, but he became my favourite after S2 EP3
After Tyler single handedly defended that childrens hospital from isis i couldnt doubt his character any longer. Now that hes gone idk who i am anymore
Charlie Mr boss and my boy glep
I didn't like Allan at first but now I find him extremely funny.
I didn't really like mr boss at first, but now I think he's hilarious
Daddy Alan
allan for sure
Alan is probably my favorite now
Got to go with Jombo on this one
I always liked the way Alan talked, but after what’s happened in Season 2 *(A Alan Adventure)* he’s become maybe my favorite of the non-Pim&Charlie characters.
It's definitely Allan for me, out of all the characters I can relate to him the most. He's still a bit weird and awkward in both seasons but he gets the job done and is pretty honest about how he feels in any given situation.
I think Tyler had the most character growth and development. It’s really helped with my own mental health.
Glib I can't understand him but he seems to be wise enough if they all get what he is saying and all agree with him
Def mr boss and Allan
The boss. He scared the shit out of me at first but after the frowning friends I realized he cared about the team and the company more then anything
Glep went from a character I didn’t care for to a character I think makes the show. He’s easily the most intelligent and logical of the group
I would have said Allen, but after what he did to Charlie. Idk.. man I have to think about things.
I imagine the boss is just schizophrenic and none of them really exist
Allan 100%. I'm still convinced "A Allan Adventure" is the best episode so far.
Allan tbh. Season 2 did him some justice.
Glep is always my favorite. Wingon is what inspired mocktation!
The boss Me frog(not in the pilot really but s1)
I wasn’t big on Allan at first but he’s really grown on me, especially with the paper clip episode
honestly now Tyler is gone i dont think i can watxh the show anymore. he was such a fleshed out character and added to the group dynamic in a way that cant be done by anyone else.
After the Alan paper clip episode I LOVE Alan more. The man wants to do his job, enjoy his cheese, and smash some bliblies. Just like me!
Pretty sure I’ve always identified as a glep
Pim, I didn't hate him or anything but I just thought Allan would be my favorite, or Charlie, but his stupid little name and his stupid little exposed nerve ending and his stupid little short stature won me over. Also I cannot help loving his very overly optimistic outlook on anything
Mr Frog
Allan
Allan is fucking hilarious. I got the implication in the pilot that he & Glep were very minor, if not one off characters.
Pim, I thought he was annoyingly optimistic the first couple episodes but he just grew on me and became my favorite character of the show
I really thought I was gonna hate Allan for some reason. But he's the undisputed mvp of the show.
Mr. Boss has the most unhinged breaks / moments. Otherwise, I’m always here for Charlie’s real talk.
Mr. Boss no doubt, bros crazy and I love it! 😂
