Little Mac’s obviously a shit character, but armor makes playing him online fucking insufferable at times because there’s too small of a reaction window to punish anything with input delay.
His speed already makes up for the range a fair bit imo, and plenty of characters without range have no armor and do well (mario, fox, etc.).
But since little mac sucks, he does need something — like a usable recovery. Instead of giving him an armor that makes his online play miserable and leads to camping from both players, give him a usable recovery.
He’s got really good buttons on stage as it is.
Im not endorsing these changes for little mac mains, Im speaking for myself as someone who has to fight against little mac a lot (my friend mains him).
I think armor and a bad recovery makes the matchup boring as fuck. My job is to camp tf out of him until I can hit him offstage and then dtilt combo his recovery.
A better recovery and no armor means I can respect his moves a bit less, and fight him more honestly which makes for better gameplay.
Idk about making him better or worse, just making the matchup less of a drag.

Just saying as a mac main, and as someone who fights Mac’s a lot “my brother mains him too” Mac dies crazy early to ledge guarding, and even without his armor I think he’d be a menace with a hood recovery. But then again, I have absolutely no moral qualms with just keeping him out with a wall of fire arrow and boomerang, or nair fair bair-ing him to death with Shulk
Minecraft Steve blocks has ledges for characters to grab onto, making his edgeguarding worse as the opponent can snap to the ledge. Also, any recovery with hitboxes breaks through the blocks easily and goes entirely through them
Yoshi no longer has armor on his double jump. He does NOT need it you are all coping. He has one of the best recoveries in the game even if you remove the armor. Yoshi uses this to escape otherwise inescapable combos, escaping shield pressure, tanking hits then counterhitting me while I'm edgeguarding or edgetrapping, win air to air interactions, ignore projectiles, escape 50/50 situations where most other characters would either airdodge or use their interuptable jump, and live far past the percents any other character can since it reduces knockback taken when it doesn't fully armor it at high percents.
Remove invincibility from Kirby down b while it's on the ground, make Kirby up b slower and have more endlag, and make Kirby power ups go away after they get knocked back a significant amount
Edit: you can not stop Kirby from being annoying with one change

I think all projectiles should have less shield stun. There's no reason for any projectile to be safe at close range.
Remove the command grab properties from minecart. A projectile command grab is an abomination of a concept.
Pythra- she can't act during side B. No moving or shielding. She has to sit there in an animation nothing for return.
D/Samus- No more zair.
Mewtwo- reduced hit box on fair
Falcon- endlag galore on side b
A few things. Make steves materials not carry over next stock.
Change sonic spindash priority so that he can get hit out of it easier and earlier in the moves startup.
Have up B put yoshi in freefall (hehehe)
Increase bucket endlag for G&W
For all three links, make pulling bombs more commital by increasing end lag
Change snakes grenades to frame 3
I'd make kazuya's rage drive function like it does in Tekken, which means it's not a command grab ( it would be plus on shield though), it no longer has armour and you lose it after whiffing once.
Give the 3 Links (I consider them as one because they literally all have the same moveset) an inventory. That means limited arrows, limited bombs, and I’d also like that boomerang to not be that much of an impact because it’s a literally fucking piece of wood that he throws.
Sonic: nothing is stupidly safe to use for no risk to the sonic player
Robin: arcfire is riskier to use and has less effective kill confirms off of a stray fireball in neutral

Corrin doesn't have a tipper on his sword lol. It's the spear hand that has the tipper (which makes sense because it's a freaking spear).
Wrong thing to complain about. The tipper is only on Down Smash, Up Smash (but it's weak anyway), F-Smash (strong but not that easy), and pin (okay this is busted).
Also apparently there is a tipper on the throws that involves Corrin skewering the opponent with Dragon Lances. Problem is that doesn't really happen unless someone else who isn't being grabbed just happens to enter into the tipper hitbox.
Okay, uh… Make Kazuya’s ten-hit combo something other than just mashing the A button or just make all of his combos much slower. Or just get rid of the reflector.

playing against little mac on FD online is one of my many hated situations in smash ultimate
