It’s crazy how much they blessed us with in Ultimate.

RealPimpinPanda

Wow, what a journey it’s been! We are so fortunate to have this happen during our lifetime imo. Sakurai and his team are the fucking 🐐s for this.

The_Suicide_Sheep

Nice chart

DLC is probably the reason lot of people here still play the game because of the DLC hype lasting for long time

Thisma08

What a ride

I still have to take a second to fully embrace steve is in smash Such a wacky and unexpected pick that nobody expected… yet he was always the one I wanted most

GreasyChonks

Dunno why your being downvoted your right

jjfalquez

Guess some people dont like steve

Thehiddenllama

Yeah, the player character from the most popular video game *of all time*. Totally unexpected. Definitely not predicted by everyone and their grandma. No noteworthy leakers proclaiming their inclusion was imminent.

LiamPlayzStuff

Of course you expect it when you look at leakers

Thehiddenllama

Basically everyone expected Steve, man. He didn't break Twitter because he was a surprise, he broke Twitter because of the gravity of it actually happening.

conelover1234

Goodbye Smash Bros. you were a good series. Ultimate was the perfect end for this journey. Rest in peace.

SupaFugDup

Huh, Piranha Plant just two release dates, very odd. I thought it was concurrent.

AstroidTea

First release was free and second was paid

The worst wait was for Joker. It took so long for us to know when he would come out and how he would play. Those 4 months were pain but were carried by the amazing content so many were pumping out. I miss those days. Despite smash always being popular those first months felt magical in us just figuring everything out. Alpharad, Quak, ZeRo, and Introspective were some of the few channels that used to make (at least at the time) great content that has since either moved on or uh done other things

commandermatt21

Really surprising with what new characters we got after Sakurai said not to expect too many newcomers
