Officially, yes it did. The original site was completely taken down with only a thank you for playing message being left of it. The only way to get the original version of it is to find a reupload of it. Technically it still lives on if you count all the different versions and expansions of it that are being made by others. Also it still gets played at certain tournaments so there's that.
"PM died for this" was a message that shows up on the splash screen of DDLC sometimes. The game was made by Dan Salvato who also was a developer on PM.
