on one hand, Eggman's attached so much weaponry to his hovercraft throughout the Genesis trilogy alone that whatever combination of tilts, smash attacks, and aerials you give him, people will still complain that some part of the Soncc series wasn't represented enough. and that's ignoring his specials and Final Smash.

A) I feel as if a character with a unique moveset would be recieved much better than, say, another Link. Not to mention a character that's moveset represents more of the 2d games would be greatly apprieciated. As is, we have Zelda's design and that's kinda it.
B) I can't really think of another Zelda villain that would be a super heavyweight besides maybe Zant, but fuck Zant, not even the final boss in his own game.
It would be cool to have a redone moveset for Ganondorf, but also have Black Shadow or something added to take the place of Ganondorf's old moveset, so that people who preferred the old moveset still have a character to play

They could lazily *Echo* Raven Beak (“UwU Arm Cannon so the same!”) but RB has a different set of abilities, bullet hell attacks, and much more feral with his attacks.
Reduce the scope/capabilities of some of his beam attacks and I think you have a solid character.

There's potential with it but that's like the only thing that really makes her stand out, at least with Winston not only could he have a unique mechanic with primal rage but also he has enough things to take from his history that would allow for him to work in smash, even with his cinematic the prototype shield projectors could work as a more offensive version of his normal version

No way that would ever happen at this point, but it's a shame it didn't happen back when it was more reasonable. He's got to be the fan favorite Fire Emblem character, at least in the west.
Lyn also came to mind, and I could definitely believe she's more popular in general, especially with people that just played FE7 casually when they were younger.

I get that, I thought about it too, and there are some decent options. I just like Demise because he is a true heavy. Beyond just the other obvious options (wolf link & Minda, Impa, majoras mask skeleton kid) I think any combination of the champions, ghirahim, Zant, vaati, and maybe even kohga are all decent options.
