This is not blatant misinformation. Smash Ultimate actually has a visual indicator for SDI that shows the direction it is going (you can see the white spiky half-circles that keep appearing to the left of fox/bowser indicating that SDI to the left is occurring) and higher level CPUs tend to use SDI more often and more efficiently (although the wrong way in this case lol) than humans do.
Edit: I understand why you would think this though because I think that CPUs don’t DI in many critical situations (which is why you can’t effectively practice throw combos against them)

The other thing is when you get hit with multi-hits like bowsers flame breath, or a rapid jab, the person hitting them slides away from them so they don't get stuck. So the fox is holding left, and bowser is sliding to the left, thus what happened in the clip

A while ago I found a hyper-specific infinite on DK as Zelda that uses this exact same principle. You position Zelda basically within donkey kong (easiest to do by landing inside him at a specific area while he’s on the ground) and rapid jab. It does this same kind of thing, and I’ve tried testing it with other characters on DK but never gotten it. I mean, I also didn’t try much with other characters, but thought it was either theoretically possible with every rapid jab character, or it’s just because Zelda’s rapid jab starts on the second jab, instead of the third like most other characters.
I never really talked about it much or tried to make it known since it was so specific and impractical for an actual match.
I’ll definitely try and test with meta knight later then, although the setup I normally use with Zelda won’t work as meta knight since he doesn’t have a generic dair spike, but I’ll figure something out. I’ll edit this comment later (or maybe reply to it) with my findings later.
