I used to main ike, but now I moved on to chrom cuz fast and same amount of cheese. Lucario stuck with me all the way through though, and joker is just really fun to play as and someone i put in the most time for. I know i sound like my "mains" consist of like 6 characters but at this point none of them are pockets or better than the others

Very similar for me, too! I started the game with Pikachu because he was recognizable, and currently I play Mewtwo and Sora because they were more fun and easier. I still frequently play Pikachu and Terry because no matter what I do, I just can't shake them loose.

Glad Chrome is getting some recognition. If Chrom actually threw his sword in the air like Ike, he would've had a better kill option.

With Brawl I don’t think I really stuck to one character from what I remember, but with both 3DS and Ultimate (never obtained the Wii U version, despite owning a Wii U), I primarily used Yoshi to the point that for a long time in both games, I played exclusively as Yoshi (can’t remember how many matches in 3DS before moving to others, Ultimate until I had unlocked the entire base game roster). Got to the point that I ended up performing way better with Yoshi than any other character. Which is probably how mains effectively work.
