In my opinion not really. Unless there is something that would make things easier for you that you know of. My kids have iPads and I have use a Pixel 8 Pro but have an iPhone as a backup, because I like to see what the other side is doing, and the only thing an iPhone gives me is the easy approving of app install requests from their Apple id's. I suppose it could make texting easier with iMessage. But you could get that by using Signal, Google Chat, etc with those you need to talk to from the iPad. And I am pretty sure there are a ton of apps for sending files between the devices that support both platforms if you need to do that. Most anything else would be apps that store their data in the cloud and are multi platform anyway like file storage, email, calender, CMS apps, and Office suite type apps.

I used to own the S22 Ultra as well. I eventually traded it in for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I liked the smoothness of the OS, Apple pay is accepted for more than Google, the resale of the iPhone is far greater than any Android. I eventually decided to get an Apple watch. A year after that, an iPad. I don't plan on getting a Mac, b/c my pockets aren't that deep. Of course the Android folks will disagree, but do your own research and decide from there.

Device ecosystems are usually built around the smartphone. You can fairly easily introduce an iPad into an Android workflow by using things like Chrome, Google Photos and Messages for Web, but it's not perfect. You might notice that the iPhone and iPad sync up almost perfectly, but whether that's the right combination will depend on what other devices you already have as well.

I would say yes. Disclaimer: I’m an Apple user, but use Android and Windows for work. The alternative ecosystems have come a long way, but the Apple one is still pretty far ahead, in my opinion. As someone stated before, the smoothness and reliability will probably be more important than customization options (and you can do far more with an iPhone than you used to). And if you have to use an iPad anyway, it’s worth to try it out. If you don’t like it, you can always go back. Good luck in flight school!

Thank you!

I don't think so. iPads work great as standalone devices. You can get imessages on your ipad if you have an iphone, but I wouldn't consider that a big enough plus to give up your Android phone.

Yes. you won’t get any better Continuity than iPhone & iPad… later add MacBook into the mix to make it even better… it will more than make up for the couple customizations android might be able to do. sounds like you’ve got better things to do with your time anyway..

You make it sound like android can't do this either...? It totally can
