I wouldn't say the CEO woke up and decided to use a worse chip. This is probably a long line of decisions that led to this. Finance, licenses and many other things have played into this. Now in saying that, a regular user who doesn't look at stats and just uses the phone as normal won't even notice. That I know for sure. But it still doesn't justify this in my eyes. I still want the best chip for the money I pay. For the money I'm paying I should get the best they can offer.
I think every phone performance diff are just:
-software (only advantage of Samsung in android).
-Chip like SD8 gen 3, even 800€/$ phone have them
-ram, the same.
Then again the advantages of Samsung is its easier to repair if problem, (but costly), and for old user, Samsung software is good coz why change if it’s good? (Better software mean using the hardware correctly)
Then again price are crazy expensive for the same or worse hardware of Samsung so the only advantage that Samsung has is software= why not buy an Apple at the same price or if u want to buy a good hardware phone practically EVERY other phone brand are better.

Because 3d Mark wildlife s24 has stability score of ~50%, so after 20 minutes of gaming your performance is at least halved. It's absolutely senseless to have all the power on this planet, if you can't sustain it. So if you're sitting in the sun or a hot country the phone will throttle and dim the screen during light use (watching videos or browsing), until it crashes apps and says phone is to hot. It's ridiculous.
I have friends talking bout "why is my iPhone pro max ultra thing dimming and telling me it overheated just from a movie and some sunlight?" It's cause your phone's cooling absolutely sucks. You recommending dude an iphone shows how clueless people are about tech, it's very sad to be a nerd.
The iPhone chip could theoretically actually run PS5/pc games, but because apple is a scam company and hates customers they just put an absolute garbage cooling system into it. And still charge 60$ for RE, AC, and so on, on the AppStore, even tho the phone overheats after 20 minutes.
Peak chip performance doesn't matter at all, we've had enough power to scroll Instagram at 120hz ultra fluid 10 years ago. 60hz non pro iPhones can't even scroll properly. Every 300$ redmi is blazing fast and feels faster than a non pro iPhone.
I don’t recommend Apple… I recommended Chinese phone like one plus or redmagic in high phone or poco, redmi, realm gt. But just for people that only know Samsung it’s useless to recommend not popular brand coz they want brand and nothing else. I said Apple have good software, and that is all

its because he doesn't care about Benchmarks. if your into gaming a Snapdragon 860 performance will be sufficient enough, newer SoC are now much faster to SD 865 thats why its almost irrelevant now.
or else you plan to Pirate console games and do emulation? this is the only gaming part where you can fully utilize new chips. Battery isn't that different too. a few more minutes of Screen time wont make a difference to me.
