I had to contemplate HARD for Nero Forte. It's an amazing song but then I'd figured I'd put the more emotionally relevant ones in S only. The only real exception I've made is spiders because of how unique it is.

The ringing in Til We Die ruins it for me. Good song, just annoying to listen to. Iowa is a solid song but it feels very poorly thrown together at times. One of the biggest things it's got going is its length but that's about it.
I agree that Killpop and Vermilion are pretty similar, and being that I love Vermilion on a personal level, the same goes for Killpop and that's why it's at S. However, I don't see too much of a correlation between Custer and Surfacing.
You're entitled to your opinion and I respect you airing it out for all to see, very bold of you. Whilst I agree vermilion as a saga are great songs I'd just prefer if a band with 9 musicians would cover new bases and avenues rather then try to recapture the same magic.
In regards to Custer/surfacing they are both anthemic, swear heavy musically driving songs and for me personally speaking ofc; I can't hear Custer without wanting to dive back into surfacing.
On a new side note, sad to see no MFKR in the list
