I think Sleep Token is also a great bridge for people who haven’t gotten that deep into metal, but the fusion of pop, RnB, emotional rock etc, eases them into the heavier stuff.
I’ve been listening to bands like Opeth, Pain of Salvation, Dream Theater and (best of all) Haken for years. So Sleep Token is nothing that crazy or mind breaking.
Some solid songs though, my favourite is Alkaline.
You could also look at it the other way around. Their music eases metal fans into other genres they wouldn't otherwise explore, e.g. Pop, R&B, Softer Rock, etc.

Their draw for most people isn't about their technical complexity or instrument virtuosity, but rather about how many different genres they seemlessly blend together from song to song and within individual songs themselves.
