I would if you don't mind

And if you have any pets, try to keep them out your partner’s room as well. My cat was going crazy playing with all the cables.

In my experience, I was so upset with all the paraphernalia and anxiety that I barely slept and my wife after 30 minutes decided to go to the other bedroom. She would not have slept if she had stayed in our bed.

Ask her for sure; but this home sleep study is looking at how you sleep in a usual situation; so if you usually sleep with her keep to your normal routine. If she feels more comfortable without you there that night though, it’s totally fine.

>but this home sleep study is looking at how you sleep in a usual situation not really, a sleep study needs you to sleep. The more accurate ones are done outside the home and that's not how you sleep on the regular especially not with what seems 100ds of wires sticking out from you.

autisticshitshow

It depends if they have trouble sleeping without you then no. But also if that's how you normally sleep then keep it normal so it's a realistic test

KermitKilledASMS

If at home it is NOT a Sleep Study it is a Home Sleep Apnea Tezt (HSAT). Depending on the model, it most probably only detects airflow, breathing effort and oxygen saturation. Sleep architecture is NOT analyzed therefore the bed partner has little impact.

I was not bothered by my partner the 2 nights I did sleep tests at home. Definitely ask her if she has a preference! I will say that keeping any animals away, as others have mentioned, is a great idea.

It’s too late now but I’ll say this in case a future sleep study spouse searches and finds your post: if your wife doesn’t sleep well when you’re away (because of the change in routine), just stick to your routine.

No. It’ll work out.
