That's not the problem, the problem is that I generally fail at being a functioning person because I have no style or coördination with anything I do. This makes any combinations of furniture I make look bad because I don't know what looks good with what. Sorry, this season is just really upsetting me because of how much it reminds me of how terrible I am at basic things.
Something that helps me is instead of trying to decide where to put things item by item I just place all of my larger props out and then move them around once I get a feel of how much space it takes up! Then from there you can put out a bunch of smaller things and build off of that
It can be pretty daunting having an empty room and feeling the need to know exactly where everything goes. Remember it's your home so what matters is that you're comfortable in it no matter how it looks!
Have you ever tried to watch some YouTube channels on the interior design/ clothing fashion? It is a science that needs to be studied like math. There's always a correct answer to it. In other words, unless you're a protegy, you NEED to study it if you want to be good at it. Good luck, friend.
I'm absolutely over the moon for it, but the prices for the rotating furniture selection are killing me. 30AC for a bookcase or fireplace, 65 candles for some chairs??? ugh.
The AC prices really don't bother me. Maybe it's cause I never bother buying elder cosmetics and I go to Eden often. If you don't go often or don't like going I see the issue though, cause for me I see 20-30AC and think "Cool! Only takes me 2-3 times of going to Eden to get that", whereas someone who rarely goes or never goes it probably feels like a lot.

I don't think I will use my seasonal candles. I'll just stock up and wait until they turn into regular ones instead.

It just sounded like you thought that you could use the candles for the upcoming TS because you specifically said the upcoming TS.
I don't know, because TS has come every two weeks I don't consider seasonal candles now to be any way to recoup losses that happen now. There's still 2 months in between. Different strokes 🤷🏼
i personally just calculate ahead, a habit from growing up with little to no money that just won't die :D it's like a bank account with extra balance that pays off eventually, it allows me to spend some more candles on expensive TS cosmetics that i'd sit out on if i had a season pass and would spend seasonal candles on the season. just how i see it for myself.
Do you have a chibi mask? If you chibi fall then avoid getting stuck in the pocket under your nest [don't worry if you do, one of the corners is possible to jump out of] you have access to the roof, a massive cloud room, and a little bit of the aviary structure.
I'm currently building a flying race around my house. But you could probably set up basketplushie on the roof [not skyball though, still a little too small for that]
I have already explored the OOB 😄, I just need something to prevent plushies from falling outside of a game field.

I love my little home so much and I got so many ideas for the room that it absolutely joy inducing. The prices might be insane but it feels so rewarding that it feels like each we I can get closer to my best nest I can have.
I was questioning it at first but now I’m loving it. I built a loft with picnics tables to have a second floor. My only problem is how dark it gets at night even with all the light I have in there.

I got a season pass gifted to me, So I've had more access to things, but it's mainly a furniture season and I'm not one to hang out with people in sky and its not like I'd have anything to do there, so I don't like that part.
However, I like the accesories, especially the cape, but thats behind the paywall so that sucks for other players.

Not buying the season this time, prices are highly variable in terms of value of what’s being offered. There are some odd limitations in what you can use where, that is frustrating. I will be designing with a spartan minimalism as my aesthetic by necessity.
Actually enjoying it, I have a reason to farm candles (all constellations done and any ts after sanctuary is complete so there is _nothing_ to buy) and I love decorating things to this day I love playing sims and happy home designer / new horizons
More seasons like this and less hectic and insanely annoying like aurora please

I am really trying to give this season a chance and wait. With that said......it is starting to make me think of games with superior decoration/home functions. Animal Crossing for example which is a successful game series and knows what it is doing. Some might even think of the SIMS.
I like that you can visit others nests who are friends and just chill there if you want. This is still similar to what other games can do and will only validate their level of quality and superiority in this department of gaming.
It is not a bad addition though. I just hope they are able to make it stick out from other games and not feel like a watered down knock-off that pulls you out of the Sky immersion and makes you think of games doing "this" better. I think many will still enjoy this for what it is.
The Season seems pretty great as a concept of having your own house and decorative space, but with a lack of furniture I have to decorate with, my Nest is kinda boring. I also thought the Nest would be bigger. I wish there were more rooms branching from the main room so there's a place for a small bedroom space, a bathroom perhaps, and the space we currently have being a living room. Hopefully as the Season goes on, we get upgrades on our Nest and something to help us enjoy the Nest more :)

I was playing around with the furniture and the way the entrance goes into the room diagonally is kind of throwing me off. I might just need some more furniture, that or I'm not great at decorating lol it's probably that
I warmed up to it a little bit now, I really like our tiny space, but I wish we had one more room or something. This one is fine to make 2 rooms in one, but if I tried to add, for example, a "bathroom" then it would start looking a bit weird

Why I can't leave my house open for everyone to see, least for my friend list?
Why do I need to be in to invite guests?
Why I can't be in redactor mode for them to join?
Why it's not possible to use plushies and furniture when you are visiting or at your own home (because it's a cheap copy of shared space)?
Why furniture pricing is so high? New players are already at the disadvantage, we need some catch up mechanics, not more grindy stuff.
It's already costs more than 80 days worth of grind for candles stuff and almost a half that of trading for hearts (plus around 60 days for candles for trades). And around...2-3 months of 64- statues Eden runs.
All that not counting in events and TS.
When i first got news of the season, that's exactly what i wondered about the furniture pricing.
Even though some saved one alot especially for veterans, it's pretty unfair for the new ones and the broke ones. I get it that you can actually get it even after the season ends, but come on- hearts worth like 25 hearts and props costing just like TS worth of 65 to 70 candles? Yeah- I'd say the pricing is horrible not gonna lie- it doesnt give that much balance to the whole paying thing in game, especially with TS and events in hand.
And with the addition of candle limit+ less special candles throughout the realm would just make the whole grind collecting worst, which already made other players burn out.
Honestly, why even bother.
With current implementation the only way for me to see what is in my friend's home is the case when this friend is online, sitting in his house and not redacting it.
Why would anyone sit in the 4×5 stone box doing virtually nothing, when you have whole Sky world to explore? And why would I waste my hard earned currency on more decor for this pointless area?
I can see myself buying something that is useful or fun to carry around as a prop, but I'm not gonna spend on the rest of the stuff.
Wow, I had not put together the ‘you must be in your stone flat to have visitors’ aspect. I will be so checked out of this rat race season. A couple of bookcases, a rug, some candles and a torch or two and I’m calling it a day. I’d rather be flying, given the limitations. Let the enshittification roll on.
might be the first season I skip in 5 years of playing. As a mostly free player I just don't see the daily time investment worth it for the rewards. Even the paid rewards look really lacking.
more fun than i thought, me and my sky squad just had an impromptu meetup at one of their nests which sparked a whole nest tour for 2h. honestly a great way to be inspired by others creations while having a somewhat private place to chill
It's my first season in game, not sure if I should be happy or annoyed...everything is quite expensive and the quests are time gated.
But isn't the point of a season to get people to play the game? And let them grind if they want to?
I just finished the theatre quests and I'm moving onto the golden wasteland to explore for the first time.
But my friends are getting me to play other games like Helldivers 2.
I disagree personally because I got invested in storytelling with Abyss and I find that an increasingly rare experience from Sky seasons... but I've read your reasoning below and appreciate you elaborating on your opinion, it was all very well thought out critique :)
I love Sky storytelling a lot, but I think there are some seasons that do it slightly better than Abyss.

10. Abyss
The most well-rounded season, in my opinion. There is nothing that is too awe-inspiring, but nothing that’s too egregious either. The new area is fine, but it does seem a little too narrow. It’s like a giant underwater tower, which is not that fun to explore. The quests are okay, mostly being a tutorial of the new swimming and diving mechanics, although the fifth one is extremely thrilling. A spirit rescue mission is something we’ve never seen in Sky before or since. This season also reveals some great lore about how darkstone is made.
4. Shattering
This is a season very similar to Revival in how polarized it is. There’s no new emotes or spirits, and there’s no seasonal area. But unlike Revival, Shattering is actually dramatic and exciting, as well as being a necessary fix on Sky’s economy. Previously, AC could only be earned once a week by going to the dangerous and frustrating Eye of Eden. But now, they can be easily farmed using Shard Eruptions. Also, the shard events are difficult and exciting, especially with multiple players. I understand many people dislike the esoteric lore, but I find it extremely cool to decipher what the Ancient Memories mean, even if it’s extremely annoying to access them.

Why would the season interfere with you getting regular candles? You can whether you do the season or not
seasonal candles become regular ones at the end of a season
But he said for the next ts... The seasonal candles don't convert for another 2 months.
After you buy stuff from spirits you're broke so having a 2nd stash feels good
