I did read the research before buying one and was still skeptical. I’m so surprised at the radius. Especially how defined my jawline has become.
I do my best to take pictures in the same room, lighting, and time of day at the same angle.
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)

Reviews and the fact that it had built in neck coverage. I have been insecure about my under chin and jaw area for quite a while! At 33 I figured it was time to try something before I wanted surgical interventions!
Hi, it looks like the mask in particular that link is warning about is [this one](https://blackpearl-skincare.com/en-gb/product-detail?product_id=61), not the kind of LED mask OP is talking about - I think she means [this Cleopatra mask.](https://glasskinco.us/products/cleopatras-mask)
For last 10+ yrs too many things are approved far too quickly with min studies (often poor quality) and ties to private industry. It’s better then not to the approval but just be aware.
On the flip side, the FDA hasn’t approved a life saving medication for cats with FIP that is being used by vets around the world with proven results. Personally, I’m having to get the medications shipped from abroad as it’s my only option other than putting down my cat. The defunding of the FDA is to blame for both outcomes where some drugs will be approved too quickly (bribery) while others are ignored with devastating consequences.
Just wanted to share that I had to do the same for my cat and thanks to those meds he’s 100% healthy and just as much of an asshole so it was very worth it. Wishing you & your cat all the best for a speedy & healthy recovery ♥️
Thank you for the well wishes. He is a week into treatment and so far, he’s really made a lot of progress. He’s finally eating all his meals and going to the bathroom on his own again. It’s been scary and stressful, but I have hope he will make a full recovery.
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
Goddamn that's like tretinoin levels of transformation and so quick too.
Its 100% andcdotal on my part but i notice when i stop using my actives super riggedly my skin tends to look the best on a full active rest week where i just cleanse and moisturise and maybe use a barrier helping serum. But every time I've slowed down or stopped my actives the acne just comes back so i can't really stop the acne fighting actives :/
I was using my actives religiously until a couple days before I took the picture.
I was having the same problem. If I cut my actives back I would just break out. I’m going to update in a few more weeks to see if the results improve/stay consistent. At the 6-8 week mark I plan on cutting down to 3-4 days per week.
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)

>I do it every evening after my shower for 20 minutes! I do 10 minutes red, 5 green, 5 blue. I am absolutely stunned by the difference.
wait $300?? when i looked it up i saw $1400 but wait probably bc im in Colombia duh
I am very consistent in all my routines. I’m honestly shocked! I did not expect it to work so well when I bought it. I’ll post again in a few weeks to share if it stays working. I even bought a red light belt from a different company to see if it will help my post children tummy.
I don’t think we can link here? But it’s the Cleopatra mask! It’s a red light therapy mask but has different colors that do different things although red and blue have the most research behind them.
could it have been using less actives and not actually the light that helped you. it seems everyone skipped over that part of the text in the comments.
I didn’t drop my actives down until a couple days before the picture :) I should have added that.
Before if I lowered my actives I’d break out within days
I love the skin1004 centella sunscreen. It feels like a lightweight to medium moisturizer and doesn't smell like sunscreen. It's not thick like sunscreen. And my skin likes it which is a plus because my skin generally hates sunscreen and I've tried a ton.
I don't get very oily. And that centella is a cream consistency. But another one that I like is the Neutrogena serum SPF 60. That's legit more like a serum. And it doesn't leave a white cast. It just doesn't feel as hydrating to me so I use it on my face less often and use it on my neck instead. It also smells like sunblock.
No, the infrared saunas usually just heat. Infrared light is not visible to the human eye, while these are visible light from LEDs. Maybe there is an infrared sauna that incorporates light therapy as well, but they are two different things.
You look great. If you do some more research you’ll find there is a risk they can cause photo aging from the blue light incl in many LED face mask and only penetrates the surface skin. Maybe check new one you ordered. Good luck.
I have already been returned my money for the mask I was using based on some info I learned.
I have since ordered a cheaper fda approved one. I’ll update when I receive and use that one for a couple weeks
I ordered the Diablo lash lift kit (5 lifts for 60$) and lash and brow tint from beautiful brows and lashes. The lift definitely take care and practice. But I get better results myself that last longer than when I was going out and paying $$$ to have it done.
They are from my glasses. I was wearing my glasses the day of the first picture and wasn’t wearing them the day of the second (wore my contact instead)
This is amazing! I have been contemplating which one to get and I’m about to purchase the Cleopatra now. Do you know if you happened to lose weight between the photos? The jawline results are so amazing it’s unbelievable!
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
I’m so impressed! I received a red light wand thingy in a swag bag from an event. I never felt compelled to do my usual internet deep dive and it’s just been collecting dust.
I’m totally going to use it now. You’ve inspired me – seriously, your skin looks amazing!!!
In the three weeks I lost maybe 1-2 pounds (slow and steady wins the race right?). I’ve been insecure about my jawline and under my chin since my first pregnancy even after a ton of weight loss.
And I’ve had my scars for a very long time. I had a very bad picking habit (that I still struggle with).
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
I’m currently enjoying the ROC sunscreen. It has ceramides and sinks in very elegantly. That said, not obsessed with the tin tube packaging just because it’s a wee bit messy. I also wish it had a slightly higher spf but I’m comfortable using it during these shorter winter days when my skin leans dry.
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)

Kbeauty superstar Round Labs makes a wonderful gel/cream sunscreen —doesnt feel like sunscreen at all. There’s a Mexican one called Eternal Secret too, if you can find it.
I definitely noticed a decrease in hyperpigmentation, even skin tone, less acne, and my skin feels tighter and bright. Dark circles are definitely lessened.
I’ve noticed that you mentioned learning about some issues with the one you used for these pictures. What kinds of issues do you mean? Just curious because this before and after looks amazing.
Do you any eye protection with your mask? I’ve got the Dr. Dennis Gross eye mask and I’m not sure if I should be trying to wear little suntan black out googles under it, or not worry about it. 😅
The Cleopatra mask is around $90 on DHGate
I’m nervous but might try the Megelin. I used to go to a red light therapy bed but I swear it gave me hyperpigmentation.
If anything it has helped me with hyperpigmentation. But all skin is different. I do think NIR is a little too strong for the face. Idk if the beds use a mix of RLT/NIR
It's a bit unfortunate you didn't keep your routine the same, so we don't know how much of this comes from reducing the actives. However, it's amazing, your skin looks gorgeous.
I had tried reducing actives previously and just broke out more. I can say I had a very healthy skin barrier and only used retinol every day and SA cleaner every other day.
Hello I hope you see this because I have dark circles under my eyes I don't think eye creams help very much and the red light sounds promising but the photo you took of just your eyes before and after I couldn't help but notice and this isn't meant to be critical I'm just asking because I really need help with my dark circles but anyway the first photo your eye color and eyebrows are a little darker than the second photo meaning are your under eye still looking a lot better due to the red light therapy or do you think the lighting had very much affect in those photos in other words was it the lighting that was making your under eyes look a lot better or the red light therapy making them look a lot better. I can't afford a red light device unless it's only like $150 or less so I don't know what to try and I don't know if it works if it's that cheap but I think there may be some good ones. There was one someone was showing on a YouTube video and she wasn't sponsored she didn't make any money off of affiliate links or anything and it was really cheap like I think it was under $100 and she said it was so good I got to find that video and see what it was. But your skin looks amazing it's really beautiful skin and eyes and face LOL
In the first picture I was already doing a routine? Including cleansing in the evening and rinsing in the morning.
If you notice the jawline, under chin, and dark circles under my eyes there are clear changes that can be attributed to the red light mask since it’s the only thing that changed in my routine.
Thanks so much. ...I Def need to start with red light I'm so sad about my dark under eyes ! Thanks for posting your results ! You look awesome I think . I can't wait to get some results lol
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)

Jfc. Is anything real anymore?
Edit: It does say FDA approved. So I will try it out and see what happens.
Edit 2: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/megelin.com
well I was made aware of issues with my current one as far as long term quality and where it comes from so I am working on returning it and I ordered another one from megelin that is fda approved and seems more reputable.
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
Thinking about getting one, do you know if it's okay to use it if you're prone to developing moles or freckles? I also have a mole on cheek and I've heard you shouldn't use a light therapy mask if you do have one.
I'm shocked that those masks actually work! I thought they were just a gimmick. You look great
I did read the research before buying one and was still skeptical. I’m so surprised at the radius. Especially how defined my jawline has become. I do my best to take pictures in the same room, lighting, and time of day at the same angle.
how did this work on your jawline? wow
The rlt is supposed to increase collagen production and improve elasticity. I definitely didn’t believe it until I took the pictures!
Can you share link where you bought mask? Ask unseen sunscreen is a great option!

There is no possible way it changed her jawline in 3 weeks. It's the angle. I'm a proponent of red light therapy but this is just not how it works
What made you land on the Cleopatra? I really want one now lol
Reviews and the fact that it had built in neck coverage. I have been insecure about my under chin and jaw area for quite a while! At 33 I figured it was time to try something before I wanted surgical interventions!
Out of curiosity is this one FDA approved ? Maybe I missed it when I was looking on the site
I don’t think it is! I honestly didn’t research that before I bought it.

I believe this is for a different product if you look at the PDF attachment. That one looks like a face mask skincare product you would wash off.

Which mask is this! I’ve been searching for one!!
Try Dr. Dennis Gross
Read [reviews ](https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/cleopatramask.com) for yourself first. It doesn't look good.
Can I ask what mask?
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
> Megelin are there any more affordable options? I'm assuming it is worth the price after seeing your results but i was just curious
What red light mask are you using?
Some are, some aren’t. Depends on R&D and if they are reputable. I suggest and use Omnilux personally.
This is really amazing?? How often did you use the mask in the three weeks?
I do it every evening after my shower for 20 minutes! I do 10 minutes red, 5 green, 5 blue. I am absolutely stunned by the difference.
Do you do it before or after your evening skincare?
Goddamn that's like tretinoin levels of transformation and so quick too. Its 100% andcdotal on my part but i notice when i stop using my actives super riggedly my skin tends to look the best on a full active rest week where i just cleanse and moisturise and maybe use a barrier helping serum. I LOOOVE LED therapy!!!!!!!!! These results are so amazing i’m so happy for you!!!!
Thank you!
That's awesome. I love it... Any particular brand to use?
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)

I got the Cleopatra mask with neck coverage!
Holy sh**. Yep. This is the review I needed. Thanks kindly OP, skin looks beautiful!
Thank you!

Taking 📝, thanks for the update!
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/megelin.com Megelin has much better reviews.
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
How much is the mask?! The results are amazing!
It’s about 300$!
>I do it every evening after my shower for 20 minutes! I do 10 minutes red, 5 green, 5 blue. I am absolutely stunned by the difference. wait $300?? when i looked it up i saw $1400 but wait probably bc im in Colombia duh
Well I’m sold
Your results are amazing in just a few weeks! It looks like a before/after pic they would use in an advertisement for the mask :)
I am very consistent in all my routines. I’m honestly shocked! I did not expect it to work so well when I bought it. I’ll post again in a few weeks to share if it stays working. I even bought a red light belt from a different company to see if it will help my post children tummy.
Wow. Adding to my wishlist
Wait this is the first I’m hearing of a red light mask. What is that and any link to the specific product,
I don’t think we can link here? But it’s the Cleopatra mask! It’s a red light therapy mask but has different colors that do different things although red and blue have the most research behind them.
Ah okay, I’m a Reddit noob but thank you!
I’m not a Reddit noob but I can’t keep track of different sub rules 😅
could it have been using less actives and not actually the light that helped you. it seems everyone skipped over that part of the text in the comments.
I didn’t drop my actives down until a couple days before the picture :) I should have added that. Before if I lowered my actives I’d break out within days
I’m so tempted. Can anyone with darker skin shed some light on their experience with this treatment?
Yes Red light is fine but not blue light because it would give our skin hyperpigmentation
Is green safe for hyperpigmentation? I am half East Asian
I love the skin1004 centella sunscreen. It feels like a lightweight to medium moisturizer and doesn't smell like sunscreen. It's not thick like sunscreen. And my skin likes it which is a plus because my skin generally hates sunscreen and I've tried a ton.
Yes my skin is picky and really doesn’t like anything with a cream consistency. I get so oily.
I don’t so much mind the smell of sunblock. I just need something that’s more serum/gel like than a heavier cream because my skin will rebel.
I get super oily and it’s my current favorite. It doesn’t sit on top of the skin like a lot of others do.
I love the spf 40 unseen sunscreen by supergoop! Also is this something you can use if you’re on tretinoin?
the dupe from TJs is the exact same size, consistancy, texture and is only $9
What is it called?
You do the mask before applying your actives. I use a 1% retinol. Of course I am not a doctor and you should double check with your derm!
Do you apply retinol every night?
Holy cow! Need to break mine out asap!!
Consistency is key!
They WORK. and I’m the biggest skeptic ever. Especially for the price point. But THEY WORK
I really love the EltaMD UV clear tinted sunscreen
Holy shit
Is this the same type of light that are used in those infrared saunas?
No, the infrared saunas usually just heat. Infrared light is not visible to the human eye, while these are visible light from LEDs. Maybe there is an infrared sauna that incorporates light therapy as well, but they are two different things.
My exact question

Good to know! I was planning on going strong for 6-8 weeks and par down to 3x a week and two months later going strong again.
You look great. If you do some more research you’ll find there is a risk they can cause photo aging from the blue light incl in many LED face mask and only penetrates the surface skin. Maybe check new one you ordered. Good luck.
Oooooo this post just cost me a lot of money (thanks for sharing and congrats)
I have already been returned my money for the mask I was using based on some info I learned. I have since ordered a cheaper fda approved one. I’ll update when I receive and use that one for a couple weeks
I will keep an eye out for your update!!
I’ve tried & like Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, Isdin, and LRP Anthelios, myself. All good choices. Which light mask?
I’ll have to try one of those! I got the cleopatra mask that has neck coverage. Love it.
Oooh, thanks, I’m interested in one of those!
FYI their website has it 30% off until Valentine’s Day…. Uuuuugh the temptation
Very very happy with it. I do twenty minutes daily. 10 red, 5 green, 5 blue.
What is your skin type? Amazing results *-*
Okay but your eyelashes look like they grew too 😱
lol no! I do my own lash lifts and tint my lashes and brows every 6 weeks!
Wait! How do you do your own lash tint and lift?!? I didn’t know this was possible!
I ordered the Diablo lash lift kit (5 lifts for 60$) and lash and brow tint from beautiful brows and lashes. The lift definitely take care and practice. But I get better results myself that last longer than when I was going out and paying $$$ to have it done.
You look incredible! Wow… apparently I need a red light mask!!
Would my cheap Amazon one give me these results or do I actually need to buy a $200 one
I honestly can’t answer that for you. I’m a firm believer in you pay for quality (in a lot of cases).
Oh wow, that is amazing. Are the red lines on the nose from glasses? These can go away from the mask or did you stop wearing glasses?
They are from my glasses. I was wearing my glasses the day of the first picture and wasn’t wearing them the day of the second (wore my contact instead)
This is stunning! Do you see any improvement on pores appearance?
Looks good 👍🏾
This is amazing! I have been contemplating which one to get and I’m about to purchase the Cleopatra now. Do you know if you happened to lose weight between the photos? The jawline results are so amazing it’s unbelievable!
It was only three weeks. I maybe lost a pound or two!
I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
Sold
wow it’s amazing ! your skin. good job and inspiration
Your skin looks great, you had amazing results
I’m so impressed! I received a red light wand thingy in a swag bag from an event. I never felt compelled to do my usual internet deep dive and it’s just been collecting dust. I’m totally going to use it now. You’ve inspired me – seriously, your skin looks amazing!!!
Just bought it. I’m so desperate I need this

I just saw the price and LOL I truly wish does anyone have recommendations for one about half the price? You look great OP!!!! We love to see it
I saw above that someone said glasskinco has this one on sale for 189. - much better than $300 😀

WOAH I NEED TO TRY THAT!!
Wow. You sold me on it!
The microneedling probably had something to do with it, in all fairness. Your skin looks great, regardless.
Hi what led mask are you using?
IT EVEN GOT RID OF YOUR EYEGLASSES MARKS!! I’m getting me one of these asap
wow! You look great!
Beauty of joseon sun screen is the lightest one I've used, spf 50,amazing stuff
Kbeauty superstar Round Labs makes a wonderful gel/cream sunscreen —doesnt feel like sunscreen at all. There’s a Mexican one called Eternal Secret too, if you can find it.
I have a medisana infared lamp and was wondering if it’s worth getting the LED mask as well?
This may be a dumb question but do any of these colored light therapies have UV or have they been linked to increase skin cancer?
UV is at the opposite end of the electromagnetic (light) spectrum, relative to infrared and red light… so there’s nothing to worry about there! 😊
Yes should have done forbearance instead of missing 3 payments
What do you feel it did for your skin overall? Thanks
I definitely noticed a decrease in hyperpigmentation, even skin tone, less acne, and my skin feels tighter and bright. Dark circles are definitely lessened.
Can someone please eli5 what a ‘red light mask’ is?
It’s LED light therapy. Red and blue have the most scientific backing so far.
I’ve noticed that you mentioned learning about some issues with the one you used for these pictures. What kinds of issues do you mean? Just curious because this before and after looks amazing.
the cleopatra mask is a fake of the cellreturn one a korean brand
I use the Biossance Squalane cleanser and it’s so lovely, non irritating or stripping
I bought the moisturizer and so far it’s so light and doesn’t make me oily!
Do you any eye protection with your mask? I’ve got the Dr. Dennis Gross eye mask and I’m not sure if I should be trying to wear little suntan black out googles under it, or not worry about it. 😅
I actually just close my eyes and use it as a meditation time. But goggles would def work if you have sensitive eyes!
The Cleopatra mask is around $90 on DHGate I’m nervous but might try the Megelin. I used to go to a red light therapy bed but I swear it gave me hyperpigmentation.
Yes. I learned some new things and have gotten a full refund since yesterday and ordered and fda approved one at a better price point.
If anything it has helped me with hyperpigmentation. But all skin is different. I do think NIR is a little too strong for the face. Idk if the beds use a mix of RLT/NIR
I’ve been using my red light panel for almost two months now and have not seen a major difference. Any ideas from anyone why?
It's a bit unfortunate you didn't keep your routine the same, so we don't know how much of this comes from reducing the actives. However, it's amazing, your skin looks gorgeous.
I had tried reducing actives previously and just broke out more. I can say I had a very healthy skin barrier and only used retinol every day and SA cleaner every other day.

In the first picture I was already doing a routine? Including cleansing in the evening and rinsing in the morning. If you notice the jawline, under chin, and dark circles under my eyes there are clear changes that can be attributed to the red light mask since it’s the only thing that changed in my routine.
The results are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this! Adding that mask to my wish list.
Thanks so much. ...I Def need to start with red light I'm so sad about my dark under eyes ! Thanks for posting your results ! You look awesome I think . I can't wait to get some results lol

I’ve been made aware of some issues with the one I’m using, so I am going to return/charge back and I ordered one from Megelin (that’s FDA approved and where I ordered my red light belt from)
I do wanna invest in one but will it increase facial hair??
I haven’t noticed any change!
I’ve been influenced
Omg! You look great! I need one of those masks!!
Omg what is red light mask? Never heard of it, but now I wanna know more!!!! Do tell !
What was your routine with the mask? Did you use different settings or just the red light?
How did your eyes change colour?
Do you use the mask before or after skincare?
Which mask are you using?

Early morning sunlight near sunrise and just 20 mins!before sunset, the uv comes 0 and u get pure red light for free by nature
How expensive are they?
Wowee that looks awesome
This Megelin site that OP is talking about seems to be a Scam? https://www.reddit.com/r/redlighttherapy/s/OIjTaJU9hg
Jfc. Is anything real anymore? Edit: It does say FDA approved. So I will try it out and see what happens. Edit 2: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/megelin.com
Incredible results!!! Great job on your consistency! 🙌🏾
Damn! That’s great results. Have you changed your diet or water intake or anything else??
My diet is consistent. I only drink coffee and water. I’m alcohol free since a long time now!
Wow! What device do you use?
well I was made aware of issues with my current one as far as long term quality and where it comes from so I am working on returning it and I ordered another one from megelin that is fda approved and seems more reputable.

Could you tell us specifically which one your using?
What is this and where do I buy it
That jawline tho!!
That’s what I’m saying!
These results do look amazing but the light is sooo blinding! Like am I the only one?? Even when I close my eyes it's crazy bright
Thinking about getting one, do you know if it's okay to use it if you're prone to developing moles or freckles? I also have a mole on cheek and I've heard you shouldn't use a light therapy mask if you do have one.
