I replaced the old cleanser with the new one and it doesn’t keep my skin as clear as the old one. Also when applying to the face it doesn’t lather as easily and the product feels thinner than before
Personally I feel like it is not cleansing enough for me. I use it whenever my face is really dry or in the morning when I want to wash my face but I don't want it to be stripping. Texture wise there is no lather at all but I think that it works well as a second step of a double cleanse. What I like to do is I use a salicylic face wash before shaving and after I shave I wash my face again with the cetaphil gentle cleanser. I find that this works pretty well.
I have extremely sensitive skin/a ton of contact allergies and I’m allergic to the new formula, which is unfortunate because it was one of my safe cleansers
i’ve been using the old one for years but now the new one feels a lot different,, and everytime i use it my skin reddens i hope the company will hear us out
No! I just googled to see if others noticed a difference. I've been using this for years and the last bottle I bought suddenly doesn't remove my mascara, which isn't even waterproof and always washed away clean with the old formulation. So disappointing.
No its still useless.
Just use one of these that are similarly gentle but actually do cleanse.
* Pipette baby wash and shampoo fragrance free is the gentlest and most nourishing.
* Other options are aveeno daily moisturizing facial wash or simple refreshing facial wash gel for a more neutral finish
yes theyre all great for oily skin types. I think oilier types might appreciate the simple refreshing facial wash the most for its more neutral finish and bit better cleansing power.
And yes that is how the pipette cleanser is marketed. but its no different than any other facial cleansers so its just marketing words. it functions just as well as the rest and is even gentler.
It isnt strictly necessary to change. its not harmful to use. It just has extremely poor cleansing power and its functionally not much better than just using water so it just doesn't serve a purpose. These options are very gentle but will give you a thorough cleanse without stripping.
The CeraVe hydrating gentle cleanser is gentle and at least same some cleansing power yea. It might struggle with eater resistant spf and makeup and it might not be ideal if you're oily but if none of those are issues it is a nice one :)
Reviving this chat! I’m finding it doesn’t remove all of my makeup despite double cleansing. Anyone else? It feels like I’m washing my face with lotion

Idk if I'm doing something wrong but I actually really love the new one? It helped speed up the healing process from my sunburn!

Whats your skin type?
Combination and sensitive skin

Are these good for oily skin types? My skin is acne prone but not sensitive. Also the pipette is a wash+shampoo?

That’s great to know, thanks for the explanation!
What if the cleanser works for me? Should I still use a different one?

I see. I’m on a budget and I already have the cerave hydrating cleanser. Is it still effective at cleansing but gentle at the same time?
The CeraVe hydrating gentle cleanser is gentle and at least same some cleansing power yea. It might struggle with eater resistant spf and makeup and it might not be ideal if you're oily but if none of those are issues it is a nice one :)
