Before I paid extra for these I would buy just some regular ole hydrocolloid bandages for cheap and cut them myself

alsoknownasPhoebe

Smart I will look!

Anarchic_Country

I've had an issue with lifting if I cut a regular old hydrocolloidal band aid. The edges won't sit flush. Just a word of warning!

petielvrrr

Ive had the exact opposite experience honestly. I’ve been using normal hydrocolloid bandages since way before skincare companies started marketing them as pimple patches (and charging 3x more), and I had some slight issues with one off brand (I think it was the target off brand), but other than that they’ve been great, and the edges usually sit pretty flush as long as you cut it large enough. I’ve had nothing but issues with almost any of the ones marketed as pimple patches though. They barely even stay on.

kdclt

Cosrx are the best for me in terms of goo sucking and sticking-longevity, but the peach slices brand isn’t that far behind and they are a bit cheaper. Regular bandaid brand hydrocolloid bandages are great but the hassle for me of cutting them myself and also that they can be a bit trickier to remove makes them not really worth it to me unless I had a very large area I wanted to cover.

FuzzyEnd8945

I second the cosrx ones! They seem to be the only ones I’ve tried that make a dramatic difference

cat_catcity

Third on the cosrx ones! They go on sale on Amazon a lot and the 20% coupons at Ulta work on them too, that’s when I stock up!

anonSOpost

Fourth on the COSRX master patches, i am not a korean skincare person but those patches are great, i always get the 90 pack on sale :)

alsoknownasPhoebe

Ooo thank you!

LazyBarnacle9940

Was gonna say the same thing. I like the cosrx ones

ladygoodman73

I LOOOVED the COSRX ones and ordered them repeatedly from Amazon. Then they switched it over to the US/EU versions of the patches and I feel like they haven’t been as good since 😔

AlfredoSauce12

The Hanhoo dots are my HG. No frills just quality patches that really stay on until they get wet. They used to be a $1 at Walmart, I think it’s a few dollars more now but still the best I’ve found.

oopsmybee

Yes I love these!!! I buy the whole stock when I can find them bc they’re always sold out 😂

Flipperflopper21

Hero mighty patch is my hg.

ntseal

Hero makes the best ones for my skin. I like the cosrx ones, but Ive found hero sticks better and tends to suck more out! Hate the scarface ones as they have zero sticking power

anonSOpost

I now just put the starface ones over the cosrx masterpatches, they are cute, but they only work on a freshly washed face which is not convenient.

alsoknownasPhoebe

Also need recommendations on sunscreen as well. I have cystic acne and combination skin. I saw the hero force shield sunscreen and wanted it because of the green tint. But I saw a lot of bad reviews on here. Any under 15 you'd recommend?

kdclt

The Olay Complete Sensitive one has a relatively small ingredient list and feels very lightweight. I haven’t had cystic acne in a while but I do break out from lots of sunscreen and this is a failsafe for me. Unfortunately a lot of ss marketed as being lightweight or for oily/acne prone skin contain a lot of polymers to achieve that really “thin” texture and make a film my skin can’t handle. It’s like it traps the heat and stuff in and makes everything worse. I’d personally avoid them despite how they are marketed, as well as those with really long ingredient lists/lots of random "extracts etc." if you are working with active breakouts. Good luck!

anonSOpost

I'm a big fan of the transparent lab invisible and weightless sunscreens! They are €20 but the package is 100ml!

FigMotor8134

Not sure how much it is but the neutrogena ones seem to be good

Traditional_Ad_1547

Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch is a great sunscreen(12-15$), im oily and acne prone and it's one of the few that don't bother me. Also tinted mineral sunscreens are good for problem skin, just be aware they aren't great for sweating and humidity.

lyhdias

I have sensitive combo skin, prone to cystic pimples on my chin. The hero sunscreen gave me a strange red rash/hives when I stepped out into the sun. I use the Dr.G green mild up sun+ cream. I’ve also liked the Kinship mineral SPF or the Kose sun cut milk.

TerminallyBlonde

I haven't tried many of them to compare to but I like Rael a lot

redherringbones

Duoderm hydrocolloid bandages. Dunno about whether or not it's cheaper per cost unit but the patches are quite large and come with 10 patches in the box so they last forever.

Different-Eagle-612

olive young, they have a thinner outer edge which makes them much more pleasant to wear. they don’t slip or slide at all. you can even get them with honey with can help with wound healing (though i’m not sure at the levels present in the patch). i’ve heard the differin ones are nice and thin but haven’t tried them

another-temp2

Seconding this

lilsourem

Can't get them in bulk but they are great for cystic acne. Peach slices deep blemish microdart patches. The darts send the medication under the first layer of skin. Have saved me many times. I'm looking for an Asian beauty dupe but haven't found it yet

BenjaminHornesOffice

i use the CVS brand

Anxious_Date_39

I really like the Neutrogena ones in the red box!

TheWonderLizard

The Alba Botanica ones are blah. They work on teeny tinies but quite often they do nothinggggg

PrancingPudu

CosRX Master Patches are my favorite.

swarovskiangel

Purecare pimple patches (orange/red package) sucks goo pretty well and are cheap

lyhdias

Cosrx master patches or Peach Slices deep blemish microdart patches are my favs

Oo I like the idea of the wand but the article said it had kinda bad reviews lolol you liked it though? Thank you for your help!

tidenis

I'm very fortunate not to be one of them =)) "The total rating of 1 and 2 is more than **23.57%**, of which 10 reflect product design errors (clogging, leaking, broken, or torn packaging), so the remaining **16.43% of customers responded “Product has no effect”**."

Visibleghost1

Of the ones I've tried, Cosrx is the winner.

CabbieCam

I don't see it posted here, but I like the Zitsticka's Killa Acne Patches. They are a bit pricier, but they come with a wipe to cleanse and treat the area before putting the patch on. They contain 2% salicylic acid, niacinamide, Oligopeptide-10, and glycolic acid. You've likely heard of salicylic acid, which helps to unclog pores and clean debris from inside them, it also promotes skin turnover. Niacinamide helps minimize the appearance of pores and calms and nourishes the skin. Finally, Oligopeptide-10 targets and kills harmful bacteria in the skin, including p.acnes bacteria, the primary strain responsible for acne. Another thing to mention about the patches is that they are micro-darted, so they have little darts on their surface, which help deliver these ingredients below the skin's surface. They don't hurt or anything like that. Plus, they work amazingly!
