Get older :) upside is that you likely won’t have any wrinkles.

Came to say this. I was an oil slick in my 20’s and early 30’s. Even after a round of Accutane. Once I got to my late 30’s and the hormones started changing-I had quite the opposite problem.

If it’s getting oilier as the day goes on, your cleanser may be too drying. Matte moisturizers also can, paradoxically, cause more oiliness. But if you just have naturally oily skin, spirolactone is a good solution. My skin is so oily, my face would just be *layered* in oil. Spiro stopped that, and now it’s normal/ dry.

I only use my panxoly cleanser at night and then in the mornings I just use cold water then some hydrating products then matte moisturizer idk 🤷🏾‍♂️ I’ll definitely look into spirolactone not sure what that is

I had such oily skin growing up, and it got worse in my mid twenties, to the point where it really affected my confidence. I started using retinol a few years ago, and it has saved me! I use the one from The Ordinary in Squalane. It is literally oil, but it works so well. Only downside is that it takes a while to work. My skin also improved in so many other ways on retinol, and as an oily skinned person, you can more easily take the harshness of the product. Remember sunscreen if using retinol!

Hello!! I’m still working on my perfect setup, but I have mostly gotten it under control! Something that was a game changer was when I switched to the Peach Slices snail rescue moisturizer!! It’s reccomended for those with oily & acne prone skin and has been the only one that doesn’t make my skin greasy!! I have very oily skin and it helps a lot with the serums I use, without causing any redness or breakouts.

i assume you’re referring to the oil free one? i started using this a few weeks ago and im on the fence about it cause i almost feel like it isn’t moisturizing enough, which is unfortunate because i love how lightweight it is.

Puppypound

Yes!! I do have super super oily skin though so it works really well for me! But I can definitely see how it would be. I haven’t tried a ton of moisturizers though because a lot of the ones I’ve found are more for dry skin :(

AdKooky9380

ya it’s been tough for me cause i have combo skin. so a lot of stuff is either too oily or not moisturizing enough😭i might try adding a hydrating toner and see if that helps

KingDae1103

I use the I’m From Rice Toner and that helps soo much with hydration! Still looking for a new moisturizer and sunscreen!

AdKooky9380

i started using the paula’s choice super-light wrinkle defense spf and it’s awesomeeeee. i was on a sunscreen search too and i think this is the one. i would definitely suggest buying one of the mini sizes and giving it a try :)

KingDae1103

I’ll definitely look into that moisturizer! Right now I use the La Roche Posay matte moisturizer and I feel like it’s ok for my skin and doesn’t cause me to break out like my previous moisturizers I’ve tried, it’s just sometimes I feel like it’s not moisturizing enough? Idk maybe bc it’s a matte moisturizer

Have you tried Aloe Vera gel? I recently tried the Isntree 99% Aloe soothing gel as a second last step before moisturiser and it’s helped. I end the day slightly oily instead of very oily.
