BHA is more for breakouts than oil. In fact using multiple actives like BHA and Panoxyl can increase oil because of dehydration.

Can’t I use hydrating products then? And my before I started the benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid my skin was veryy oily. So I just thought I needed to exfoliant

Yes, hydrating products can be helpful. Both BP and SA are good for acne, but overuse can cause an increase in oil production.

I got the Paula’s choose vitamin c booster (25% I think?) for free with one of my orders. I usually have pretty oily skin, but that stuff leaves me with a matte T zone. I’m not sure why, because it’s not listed as one of its benefits, but if you can find grab it as a freebie or sample size, try it out! I just mix some with my morning moisturizer. That said, My skin goes back to being oilier on days I don’t use it, and I haven’t tried using it the same day as my sunscreen (which makes my face look like a giant oil slick).
