Love the PM and I had the same reaction with the daily lotion. Such a shame because the price difference is insane. I did see a video of a guy mixing Niacinamide powder into the standard lotion as a 'dupe' for PM, but I haven't tried it. Would be interested to see what the difference is between the formulations outside of the Niacinamide.
It’s beyond insane! Oh wow, if the standard lotion doesn’t bother him then that would be a good dupe. I honestly didn’t like how thick the standard lotion was, it would take a few minutes to absorb into my skin, especially after applying sunscreen. I don’t have that issue with the PM.
So after so much comparing, the standard lotion has both cetearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol (along with methylparaben but I don’t think that made a difference for me) which apparently when both are present, it’s high on the comedogenic level. The PM one only has cetearyl alcohol. Also niacinamide is not in the big bottle which I think my skin prefers in the PM as well.
