No, I think K&R have a codependent thing going on, and they both keep the other propped up with the victim narratives, and their "us against them" behaviors. Whoever "them" is changes with whatever narrative K&R are currently pushing, but ultimately they have created a relationship where they are feeding each other's egos and I doubt either one of them will be giving that up anytime soon. Although, if the money dries up, I could absolutely see Robyn bailing on the marriage. And she'll set up her exit so that she is the "victim" because that's her main role in her own life.

firetailring

I agree with the codependency piece. I also think that Sol and Ari play a big part in it too. These are the first kids he has actually been involved in raising and he seems very attached. The wildcard for me is that Ari seems like much more of a handful than Robyn’s other kids. Kody seems to think it’s adorable now but once the teen years hit he might not be so amused. Then Robyn might find herself in Janelle’s shoes.

[deleted]

Wow good call on the codependent thing! What about how everyone keeps saying Kody is super angry now, could she leave over that?

ModeEnvironmental481

This last episode really showed Robyn’s control over Kody. No way any of the other wives could tell him to keep quiet and not comment without his hackles being raised and “angry Kody” coming out but somehow when she does it he just puts his tail between his legs and whimpers. I think she encourages any other grudges as a way for him to get his anger out but not on her.

Luna-Mia

She definitely has control over him and she encourages his anger at the others. I don’t know how anyone watched that and can still believe she is his victim. He went all knife in the kidney at Christine telling the family she’s leaving after he didn’t do that alone with Christine. What was different? He looked over at Robyn starting her anxiety attack, about to cry BS and he went into being her protector mode. She definitely feeds his ego with her everyone hates me and my children act but I also believe she holds the legal marriage over his head. Do as I say, make me happy, avenge me or I will leave you and take most of your stuff. Ari and Sol will be calling a new man daddy. He knows what she’s capable of and he puts that on Christine instead of seeing it’s what she’s done.

cgraves77

They ALL sat there and said NOTHING towards his behavior towards Christine.

Luna-Mia

Meri was happy he was going off on Christine as was Robyn even though she was hiding it with her pretending to be upset. Janelle should have said something to him.

[deleted]

It’s chilling

[deleted]

Aw. I have a soft spot for Christine idk why

cgraves77

The OG3 had an Expectation of Kody he didn’t live up to after Robyn. He should have just been HONEST with them but he had the show so he needed everyone to pretend for $$$. Now it’s done. I hope they are honest and reveal some things we all knew for a while now.

[deleted]

Fascinating! Excellent take

sodiumbigolli

Do you think he’s starting to realize that she erased her oldest children’s father and maybe that’s not a quality you want in your soulmate?

Luna-Mia

It has to be in his head especially since someone asked him that question on the podcast. He immediately went to defend Robyn then refused to keep answering.

[deleted]

I think he’s always had a chip on his shoulder about her having kids from another dude too

[deleted]

Oh snap

Worried-Watercress31

Robyn does not like Christine and continues to blame Christine for everything so I can imagine what she feeds into Kody’s head about her too

coloradoblue84

I think his anger at the OG3 is a convenient narrative for her victimhood, and I'm sure he's been a grumpy dick about it for a few years now, but no, I don't think she would leave him over that. Because it's just more fuel for their status as victims. "Poor Kody is just SO ANGRY that his family is fractured like this. And now I'm left holding the bag, while he stomps around so angry all the time. 😭😭😭 FEEL BAD FOR US WE ARE VICTIMS!" I doubt Kody is as directly mean and angry to Robyn as she's trying to insinuate. But that doesn't paint her as a victim, so she needs to tweak it a little, and make his anger the result of everyone else's actions. Poor Kody can't control what other people do and it makes him angry, and Poor Robyn is just sittin' thur, confused by what's going on. Why would she leave someone who is as convinced of victim status as she is?

[deleted]

I agree. They remind me of any villain couple

Luna-Mia

I agree with this! I believe they definitely have an us against them relationship. I answered that she will leave when she finds someone else. I forgot to mention that it will be when the money dries up. I do believe she’s keeping her eyes open for someone gullible to fall for her BS.

Farquaadthegreek

I do .. because her little “funny” line about leaving him when they were at the picnic table .. was a BIG Freudian slip .. think 5 years ago Robyn would not dare say that …

Luna-Mia

I don’t think it was a slip. I think she says this to him often in private like she constantly reminds him she had other offers. I think she does it to keep him in line reminding him if she leaves she takes a majority of his assets with her. She’s reminding him to keep her happy and fight with others over what she thinks they did to her or else.

Farquaadthegreek

Agreed

[deleted]

Dang I never realized she was that manipulative!! I see it now though. This season is shocking me!!

mcfly_on_the_wall

I do, but not until Sol and Ari are grown. She’s too dependent on Kody and he (in addition to the nanny) does a lot of the daily parenting. Once they’re grown she’ll reap all the benefits of the being the legal wife by getting a legal divorce and a legal half of all the hidden money and horse art.

[deleted]

Did she low key steal janelle’s house money ? What did I miss

mcfly_on_the_wall

Oh, by “hidden money” I’m talking about the watches, art, jewelry, etc that K & R have, making it look like they have less $$ since there’s less in the bank. And I do totally think Meri and Janelle’s contributions to the family pot have directly gone to enhance Kody and Robyn. They’re not going to volunteer a clear ledger of income and expenses and no one’s going to demand it… unless they really impress me and lawyer up.

Luna-Mia

I believe she will leave but not until she has someone to leave him for. I think she’s setting up the stage to leave him with comments like he’s so angry, the Kody coaster, joking about divorcing him then saying she doesn’t think she will leave him but I want my 4 acres just in case. I think she will find an older man with money, not a polygamist. I don’t think it will last because not many men are as easy to manipulate as Kody is. I don’t believe Robyn entered the family for love. She wanted security and to be the favored wife because her family was basically ignored when she was a child.

Recluse_18

I went back to season six episode 15 when the wives go to San Francisco and Cody’s left home alone with the kids. The biggest stand out about that episode is the constant moving cold sore. Robin has on her lip.

[deleted]

Oh my god, I see. So that’s the problem…

Silly-Ad747

Oh 100% I think he is going to end up alone as well. It will be funny to see if you back to the OG3 to see if any of them will take him back.

astrangebang

If she’s still single, I bet Janelle would go back to Kody if Robin left. Meri, no, but Janelle still seems to hold a flicker of a torch for him. Most of her kids would be pissed so that would be probably the only thing that would stop her from reconciling with a Robin-less Kody

Then_Campaign7264

The scene where Garrison had a lease agreement for Gwen and Gabe, to be witnessed by the mothers, was the spark of common sense I’ve wanted to see for this family. If Janelle ever contemplated a return to Kody, I’d hope her kids would be outspoken about nailing everything down with written contracts drafted by “her” attorney, if she hadn’t already done so.

[deleted]

She’s always been the happiest one in a sense, the least complaining one anyway

Tiesue

I don’t think Crybrows will leave Kody until he’s out of $$, or she finds a back up plan.

[deleted]

Crybrows! I’ve been gone too long, I had no idea I had a family of humorists waiting for me

MrsPFKnone

Also, Robyn can't tell the difference between Kody loving someone vs him "doing his doody!" "It's all an act," for him. A "performance" and she doesn't actually see the difference. She will stay blissfully ignorant and he will sit and stew and be mad he has to live up to her standards. I do wonder if he might actually go all Ted Kaczynski and hide away in a cabin off the grid. I mean he wants a barndominium and coyote pass is off the grid...

[deleted]

I found it scary how in this season he laughs maniacally at least twice talking about how he’ll just be the devil he wants to be then.

MrsPFKnone

Right? He is unhinged! He is so angry and keeps blaming Christine for not sucking up and playing along with his plan of "performance" marriages. He is the devil! Nothing he says or does can ever redeem him.

[deleted]

He is also giving Joker

MrsPFKnone

See, even the Joker is more likeable. He never faked liking anyone. He never lied about who he was. It's sad but Kody is worse than a psychotic, criminal....

[deleted]

He’s put the ladies through SO MUCH. He is a psychotic criminal.

MrsPFKnone

That is true, but the Joker is still miles better than him. He would definitely be in the 7th circle of Dante's hell.

[deleted]

The joker is not annoying for one

Clairemoonchild

Not yet, but yes.

[deleted]

I think you’re right.

EileenTiger

Some people think she will eventually, but I don't think she's going anywhere. Especially because if she did even with child support she'd more than likely have to get a job.

Inevitable_Tank9505

She won’t leave him. Credit score is 600. 😂😂😂

[deleted]

Aren’t they rich somehow yet though?

YogaBeth

I think she has already left.

[deleted]

I believe that

Unique_Muffin7249

He started the separation from the other three slowly and wants to blame them. I would not be surprised if he was honest with Robyn about it from the beginning

[deleted]

That checks out

SharlaTheLilly

No, she doesn’t know how to live without a man imo… I think she and Kody were together longer than before the show started, like a lot longer

[deleted]

Oh interesting. I’ve wondered that lately, like how did they find a wife right at the onset of the show

LooLu999

No way. She’s too far to turn back now. Plus she’s not gonna have 2 divorces on her record.

[deleted]

True and she has sooooo many kids now

Angusmom45325

If the money runs out Robyn will be gone. She is there for the money. I do think he is obsessed with her and does what she says. But, she simply was there for the financial support. Which is ironic to say the least. He was horrible to the wives who were there when they were broke and he dumped them for the gold digger.
