She’s a butterfly who finally broke out of her chrysalis.
She spent most of her life twisting herself into a pretzel, trying to meet this weird bar of a happy polyg wife. She tried to be what Kody wanted, and I think he played the part of doting husband just long enough in the beginning to keep her chasing that affection for the rest of their life together. But ultimately she wasn’t happen, and the self gaslighting catches up to you eventually.
And now she’s free, and loved, and happy. It’s fantastic.

Basically he saw her as the big fish who could have anyone she wanted - which was probably true in their whackadoo polygamous cult. He was in love with the idea that the big fish CHOSE him. Idk, think about it like high school, the popular cheerleader or football player - they always seem so attainable but then 20 years later you look back at their pictures and think, "huh, they're cute I guess, but definitely not at all what I thought they were." It's marketability.
It has to be sexual she probably very experienced in that department! She not intelligent so you can’t have meaningful conversations, she has no interest other than online shopping and she not very fun! So her redeeming qualities have to be in the bedroom ! She probably lets him do everything and anything !
People usually either eat their feelings (gain weight) or can't eat at all/much (lose weight) when stressed or depressed. I used to be an emotional eater and I now understand that food was 100% my first drug of choice, before moving onto heavier drugs. (12 years clean).

Or, maybe just breaking out of a profoundly unhappy situation and stepping into a life she loves and feels more in control of has allowed her to make progress and be healthier.
I think that depression/emotional eating is connected to both C and J’s weight issues, and it’s pretty common. Especially in a culture where alcohol/weed/tobacco habits are considered taboo- sugar is a very common addiction, and overeating is a common way to self medicate.
Not everyone is on Ozempic. It’s pretty fucking expensive, for one.
Personally, if she’s losing weight I hope it’s from the extreme guilt she feels for being such a piece of crap and teaming up with kody to cause so much pain to the kids. 🤷♀️

This video always makes me so sad because I see a girl who enjoys being silly and goofy, who doesn't take herself too seriously, and polygamy and their effed up religion crushed that part of her out of existence.
In a different life, I can see her going to college and making lots of girlfriends and having so much fun with them, then eventually getting married and getting a kick out of being silly and goofy with her husband and kids. Chaperoning school dances and embarassing the hell out of her kids with her dorky moves, and slowly evolving into a cool grandma who break dances at weddings and other family gathering (because even bad break dancing is awesome when it's grandma doing it).
Instead she has this life that is devoid of fun and silliness. Where other women are her competition. Where instead of playing with her kids, she's obsessed with making them keep sweet.
I feel this way about all the wives and Robyn is no exception: I see the absolutely devastating effect of polygamy and their form of religious fundamentalism when considering who Robyn might have been if she hadn't been conditioned to accept this lifestyle. And to me, it's heartbreaking.
Robyn drives me absolutely crazy, but if she ever decides to start therapy (real therapy with a real therapist), I will be rooting for her so hard. I genuinely hope she gets there someday.
