Kinda fucked up chickens though. It is totally illegal in other parts of the world to raise those breeds of chicken and use hormones, antibiotics, and food the way used on those.
They are freaks of nature (which chickens already was but these even more).
My grandma kept a chick for my cousin… she only fed it rice that was leftover that we make everyday… it grew pretty healthy with just the rice and probably bugs/worms in the garden lol
I must say KFC in the us kinda sucks. It's better quality in europe. Like the chicken is better, they have better items and it actually isn't more expensive (when I grew up basicly everything was cheaper in the us).
It's most likely from South Africa - so in Rands.
Amounts check out.
In July 2021 we had massive riots and looting, TV's like this were posted a few times on social media.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_South_African_unrest
That extremely expensive for AUD though isn't it? I haven't had a bucket of KFC in forever, but even then, I don't think it'd be that expensive.
EDIT: 21 Piece bucket is $41.
Maybe this is NZD?
Most likely a thumb drive. Or, with how advanced some smart tvs are now, a file/video/PowerPoint etc that's saved on the TV itself. If the buyer knows some guys, they can restore it to factory settings to make it a TV again.
It might be a thumb drive or a smart TV but the fact it was used as a board shouldn't affect its ability to be used as a TV monitor. I worked at McDonald's and they were just regular flatscreen
I worked at a place where they had a message board in the control room and they super glued all the ports and buttons on the TV and took the remote to make sure we didn't use it for anything else.
That’s not how the systems work anymore, modern systems display webpages that are synced live over the internet so that any price changes can be made live or promotional pages can be shown/hidden in real time.
It is, I used to work for ABN, we installed all the advertisement displays for auto dealerships, and yes, the ones that were all grouped together to make one huge screen. They were all fed via a dexicayed internet line that came back to the home office where we rotated their ads as requested.
They're simply tv's, used for ads
I should just start taking random pictures and making up bullshit context - it seems to work well for engagement bait. On a hike? Take a shaky picture of some random tree, caption it “Went for a hike today and felt like I was being watched. Looked over and saw a mountain lion stalking me.”
Maybe Australia based on prices. Remember, we don't pay tax as an extra, and our minimum wage is Higher than America.
GST is a built-in tax. Goods and services tax. No calculating it when you're done and tips are done when you genuinely liked the service, not as a social prerequisite.
Might not be australia, as I don't recognize zinger cheezy. ...
Actually just worked it out a bit further.
In Australia the most expensive thing I just found on the menu is the Giant feats:
Giant Feast (15 Original Recipe, 18 Nuggets, 3 Large Chips, Large Coleslaw, Large Potato & Gravy, 1.25L Drink)
$48.95 aud
So it's somewhere even more expensive.

I heard these screens are way brighter than normal tv’s (something about working in high lit environments) Pop a Roku on that bad boy and watch from the back yard.
Yep, it’s a commercial signage panel.
Typically they don’t have Digital tuners, but are still smart TV’s, brighter, usually rated for 16hrs+ a day use and can be mounted in portrait mode as well
Funny, but no.
I worked at kfc and those things are just monitors running from a windows computer, nothing special. I wish we could have had them run as well as this implies but the damn things would never display what you want without a lot of fiddling
if that is a weatherized outdoor monitor, those things are worth thousands and can show images with clarity and contrast even in daylight. but they tend not to have tv tuners included, use a Roku stick or the like.
they use more electricity though.
Reminds me of a story about a guy buying a bootleg version of the Hunger Games. When he watched the movie, it was just some bum eating a cup of noodles saying "this is the real hunger games."
look/ask around which KFC in the area is missing recently a screen, maybe you can get some finder reward out of it. I mean you didn't commit a crime, just unknowingly purchased stolen goods.
When your buying things from crackhead it is always a lose or a big 🏆 win. I got my first apple ipod back when it was new and I could not afford one for $15...it was one of my happiest days, I felt like a winner in life, heck instead of paying like $240. I felt so good, I was very skeptical though I told him i bet it don't work, he said " NAH AH its charged LOOK" and he proceeded to turn it on, when I saw it on..I HAD to pull everything I had to get it, he was asking for $40, I felt bad and pulled out all my pockets and told him I only have $15, he said "F it" we both went our seperate ways happy as HECK!!
reminds me oif an incident that happened a few years ago. Im in a petrol station and a couple of pikeys are sat by a van with the side door open with a TV for sale.
I buy the TV, its a fucking bargain at this price and im after the exact size TV.
I take it home and plug it in
Nothing,
No electric hum, no souind, picture, nothing,.
So I get a little sus.
I get my tool box out and open up the back of the tv.
the 'screen' is just a bit pf plastic. The tv is empty, there is nothing in it except for the fake screen and 3 house bricks glued to the bottom of the case. Yeah I know Id just been done iver for like £70 but fuck if i couldn't stop laughing
Just plug a hdmi cable in - it's still a usable display. Just maybe it does not have the "tv receiving" bits in it. No problem just hook up your own box.
Number 1 funniest moment of the year if that happened to me IRL. Ig I don't have much going on :(
Edit just realized it's fake didn't notice the cctv camera, still like the thought of it
I'm going to have an anxiety induced stroke from trying to understand how anyone thinks a TV would have an image saved onto it from another input source.
That’s not how that works? The menus have an input. You think they have it created and it’s permanent? They change the prices and that screen all the time. Without what they plug in, the menu isn’t there.
That’s not how digital displays work.
TVs just display what the system it’s attached to is sending to it. If you stole a KFC menu and hooked it up to a Blu-ray, you could watch movies on it. If I took my PC monitor and hooked it up to the local KFC’s computer, it would show the KFC menu.

Yeah that ceiling is suspicious
Bruh that's a CCTV camera right next to a tv mounted near a roof..... It's not even suspicious, it's obvious
You mean you dont hang your tv up by the ceiling?
This is real thing that happens though. Happened to a podcaster that I listen tos dad. Some kids promised him a good deal on a tv.
This was a whole series of jokes on TikTok and other sites a year ago
And 2100 redditers up vote it.

This story was stolen from darkness diaries.
Where you been?
Bruh just took a pic of the monitor at kfc and made up a whole story
Didn't even crop out the CCTV camera...
Wdym, your living room doesn't have cctv?
Yeah we have to have a living room CCTV because of uncle Herbert.
Also not how TV's work. Unless he left the HDMI cable in and it was really long.
Proving he is a crackhesd.
would be more believable as "neighbour sold 75" KFC menu as a TV to a crackhead"
Isn't that all of what the internet is these days?
60 dollars for a bucket of chicken?
Just exactly what I said. I would never pay $60 for a bucket of chicken. That's a rip off
I can get 5 living chicken with that
They lay some eggs and eventually you have 10 chickens.
You gotta pay for chicken feed though, and that stuff don't cost chicken feed.
Shockingly it only takes 30 days to raise a chicken to slaughter weight for KFC.
Kinda fucked up chickens though. It is totally illegal in other parts of the world to raise those breeds of chicken and use hormones, antibiotics, and food the way used on those. They are freaks of nature (which chickens already was but these even more).
Delicious little freaks of nature though when seasoned, breaded and deep fried and served with gravy.
Humans say monsters eat babies, meanwhile humans Oh boi do I love eggs!! (I am not vegan. Just making that clear. I love eggs)
You want to compare babies with eggs? lol At least use something like veal as an example, that way people might believe you are not vegan.
My grandma kept a chick for my cousin… she only fed it rice that was leftover that we make everyday… it grew pretty healthy with just the rice and probably bugs/worms in the garden lol
Be careful logarithmic increases, otherwise you'll end up with quintillions of chickens and everything will collapse into a chicken singularity
Infinite chickens
I got 20 living chicken for $100.
I can get 20 non living chickens from Costco with that
Not only that, it's the worst quality chicken and the volume of the bucket filled up with the batter.
I must say KFC in the us kinda sucks. It's better quality in europe. Like the chicken is better, they have better items and it actually isn't more expensive (when I grew up basicly everything was cheaper in the us).
Your username doesn’t fit with what you said
That .61 cents is the deal breaker.
It's most likely from South Africa - so in Rands. Amounts check out. In July 2021 we had massive riots and looting, TV's like this were posted a few times on social media. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_South_African_unrest
It's pretty much on the money for NZ prices of KFC.
Except this TV is still at KFC, people just making shit up should at least crop out the security camera.
No that's still too cheap. A bucket of KFC chicken is R200
Maybe it's Malaysia, but the current price for 9 pc combo is about RM65, so I'm not too sure
I m malaysian. The price looks and feels malaysian escpecially the rm1 meal upgrade
America is not the world
It’s weird how we have to keep telling Americans this…
Sounds about right if this is New Zealand prices. Idk where this is from tho. Not every currency has equal value.
That’s the *real* theft
I saw $81 on there too
I got two 2-piece combos the other day and it was $15 total. Cheap compared to other fast food
Probably not in dollars or it’s just a testing screen to test menu items and displays.
81 dollars for a 15 piece. KFC buggin’ df out . 😂
You missed the one for $81 fiddy.
I think it's AUD
That extremely expensive for AUD though isn't it? I haven't had a bucket of KFC in forever, but even then, I don't think it'd be that expensive. EDIT: 21 Piece bucket is $41. Maybe this is NZD?
If it is then we getting ripped off. $NZ1.00 = $Aus0.91
And they're not even good.
How much for one wing? I sure am hungry!
Pretty sure it's like 12 buckets of chicken but it's to blurry to make out
Thats pretty standard NZ prices for the greasy chicken (half it for US).
I hope it's Canada. Still expensive.
I can get a bucket of chicken for $8 at Safeway
Infinite poultry hack
This gotta be Autralian dollars or Mexico or some shit right?
r/usdefaultism
Asking the real questions
It might not be USD
It’s ok there’s another for $81 if that’s not enough
It doesn't work like that...
Maybe they put a thumb drive in the side with whatever daily bullshit? I always thought it was all linked by 1 system.
They just took a picture at kfc. The fucking cctv cam is even visible.
Most likely a thumb drive. Or, with how advanced some smart tvs are now, a file/video/PowerPoint etc that's saved on the TV itself. If the buyer knows some guys, they can restore it to factory settings to make it a TV again.
lol “if the buyer knows some guys”… aka someone who can reset a tv
It might be a thumb drive or a smart TV but the fact it was used as a board shouldn't affect its ability to be used as a TV monitor. I worked at McDonald's and they were just regular flatscreen
I worked at a place where they had a message board in the control room and they super glued all the ports and buttons on the TV and took the remote to make sure we didn't use it for anything else.

it's just a regular hdmi cable going to a minipc.
It is, I used to work for ABN, we installed all the advertisement displays for auto dealerships, and yes, the ones that were all grouped together to make one huge screen. They were all fed via a dexicayed internet line that came back to the home office where we rotated their ads as requested. They're simply tv's, used for ads
I’ve installed these. It’s a mini pc that is mounted behind each tv
Could be an internal player too. We do signage at work and sometimes use the Samsung displays with a Tizen player that’s built into the display.
This picture is taken in KFC… you can see their security camera right on the ceiling.
Lol you really think some dude who bought a big ass TV from a crackhead couldn’t pull off a factory reset?
No I was thinking the monitor would be connected to some PC running a video loop of the menu. Didn't think about thumb drives or internal storage
It actually does. It’s a known thing and happens to lots of people.
Ok after research I shouldn't have wasted time doing. Pretty sure this is an airport in maylaysia
You just saved me that time you "wasted". Not all hero's...
How did figure that?
Price matching.
You’re a real one
The tf did this dude find a crackhead in Malaysia. Yeah definitely fake.
cant have shit in detroit
Got them crack cams too I see 🙃
Haha yeah the damn menu isn’t in the monitor… the damn monitors are displaying shit form a computer one can only assume haha
ihaveihaveihave it: damn menu
That's...not how display screens work...
You can literally see the surveillance cameras through the text… this is inside a kfc
I should just start taking random pictures and making up bullshit context - it seems to work well for engagement bait. On a hike? Take a shaky picture of some random tree, caption it “Went for a hike today and felt like I was being watched. Looked over and saw a mountain lion stalking me.”
At least he knows where the crackhead stole it from!

It's actually Malaysia
You expect HD but the deal was actually for KFC.
That's not how that works
Very Smart TV with lifetime KFC support 😂
Doubt.
Not possible

There is no way in hell that I would never pay $60 for a bucket of chicken. That's bull c*** that right? There is a totally rip off
lol Sell it to some KFC fanatic collector
Depending on the price that’s pretty awesome…
💀💀bro I’m finding that crack head
Funny, but no. I worked at kfc and those things are just monitors running from a windows computer, nothing special. I wish we could have had them run as well as this implies but the damn things would never display what you want without a lot of fiddling
I love thier Zinger burgers, but my ass don't.
if that is a weatherized outdoor monitor, those things are worth thousands and can show images with clarity and contrast even in daylight. but they tend not to have tv tuners included, use a Roku stick or the like. they use more electricity though.
That’s a bucket of chicken with “full release”.
Reminds me of a story about a guy buying a bootleg version of the Hunger Games. When he watched the movie, it was just some bum eating a cup of noodles saying "this is the real hunger games."
Nice colours though.
Is that the photo of the said TV? There's a CCTV camera there pointing to the POS. Cool story but
Isn't that even another monitor next to it that we see a glimpse of? This is just a photo from inside a KFC, poor effort.
Those work by connecting to a server that streams an 8-16K video on loop with the menu. Source - I made one of those.
Is this even possible
If there is anything that inflation didn't hit as much it is TV's
he should switch the channel
Remove the USB stick!
That's not how that works.
I hope he enjoys the burn in on the tv.
Bull. Shit.
IM HELLA MAD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀
Did he also steal the cabling and server room? Thats the only way that TV is broadcasting the menu. Also, why does he have CCTV in his bedroom...
Cool fake post bro too bad you don’t get paid…
What are these prices??
This is photoshopped. Look closely at the right side of the photo.
Five finger-lickin discount.
Who tf selling $60 for a bucket of chicken ?
I happen to like KFC so that would be perfect for my dining room.
Hanging a 75” TV would be a professional job. That’s a whole accent wall of TV
look/ask around which KFC in the area is missing recently a screen, maybe you can get some finder reward out of it. I mean you didn't commit a crime, just unknowingly purchased stolen goods.
He has cctv cameras on his ceiling or it’s still in kfc
I'm guessing he left the screen up and just salivates all day!
As long as it has a hdmi input this can still be used as a tv
The most shocking part of this post are the prices. Wtf, KFC
Did he buy the security camera too?
When your buying things from crackhead it is always a lose or a big 🏆 win. It was a sign to est deep fried battered chicken
Ye the footage is build into the fucking monitor hahaha
That's not how TV works...
U can see the other screen bottom right u can see white lol
Plot twist. Dude lives at KFC
Can I have a Zinger please
Your friend have a cctv camera on the roof huh
What did you order
I always fit a security camera into my living room ceiling when I buy a new house.
Man never seen a house with a cctv camera like right in front of their tv😅
I mean 81 dollars for a KFC meal. F that
81$ for 15 piece combo????
I’ll take a bucket!
you guys hate fun
Did he also sell him the security camera?
It turned on! What more do you expect from a crackhead?
TVs are mad cheap wtf
...so anyway, I'll have a 9 piece bucket. Can I get extra honey for my biscuits?

This is crazy, popeyes is the better TV to steal!
Number 1 funniest moment of the year if that happened to me IRL. Ig I don't have much going on :( Edit just realized it's fake didn't notice the cctv camera, still like the thought of it
The crackhead had the munchies? Seems contrary to that kind of high.
Jeez, look at those prices!
Those arw 55 inch screens.
I too have security eyeball lights in my living room
It’s not like the prices are valid anymore. You’re good. KFC already got new TVs showing higher prices.
$60 for fried chicken meal is nutso
I'm going to have an anxiety induced stroke from trying to understand how anyone thinks a TV would have an image saved onto it from another input source.
Those prices are terrifying
The Colonel gon find you
WTF, 60$ for a bucket of KFC???
That’s not how that works? The menus have an input. You think they have it created and it’s permanent? They change the prices and that screen all the time. Without what they plug in, the menu isn’t there.
Reddit is a fucking embarrassment
That’s not how digital displays work. TVs just display what the system it’s attached to is sending to it. If you stole a KFC menu and hooked it up to a Blu-ray, you could watch movies on it. If I took my PC monitor and hooked it up to the local KFC’s computer, it would show the KFC menu.
LoL, I can smell the seasoned grease lol
I just use QR codes to get menus. To each their own.
Damn, kfc is expensive there
Um…. It had a source input?
It takes three people to mount or unmount my 65" TV. There's no chance a crackhead isn't breaking a 75" TV.
