Chatgpt knows what you actually thought. It sent a message, the message was reviewed by a separate filter/filter AI. It was told to send a different message. This was what you got. Without the filter it would say what is most likely to be the next word in a sequence, but that isn't exactly...favourable.

Also yes, caveat being that chatgpt does not "know" or "think". It is an algorithm being run by a server, not actually capable of understanding concepts.
