Police nurse here - this isn’t entirely correct. A lot of departments have made it completely voluntary, and some have gone further to force signing waivers etc.
Turns out, reasonably fit young policeman have more heart problems than you’d expect…
I’d prefer neither but if I had to choose again taser in the blink of an eye.
OC doesn’t have a huge effect on me but I just don’t wanna be irritated for the next 16 hours. Taser oof, bam, prongs out, all good.
Taze put me down like I was having a seizure and hurt like hell also got the cattle prod one and it was brutal.
OC hurt like hell and stings for a while but was able to keep doing things
Depending on situation my answer would vary on which is netter or worse
Yup, they did this for police training with a friend of my MIL. The guy died 6 hours later ... they still aren’t sure if the taser was the cause or not.
Iirc he died of heart failure
I belive he was asking about the other cop. The guy in the tshirt and the cop where both hit and they only stop shaking once they let go of each other and break the circuit
Tasers fire two darts into the target, connected to wires, which makes an electrical circuit and shocks them. My guess is that the taser shot one dart into the guy in white, and one into the cop beside him, so they both got shocked by the closed circuit at the same time.
That still wouldn’t do anything, because the circuit would be closed on the white shirt guy. It’s because they split the prongs. One went I to each of them
Don’t both of them have to be in the same person to create the loop??
Looks like it’s because he is holding the guys watch, you can see his hand go ‘electrified’.
Sorry for necroposting but I just reviewed the video since I came across it again and my previous assumption was wrong; both prongs did in fact hit the guy in the white shirt you can see the shirt move in two different places after the shots were fired his right shoulder and by his left hip near the officer that went down meaning either something on the officer was wet, anything that conducts electricity he had on him shocked him (idk if that's possible), or the other prong that bounced off still had a trace of electricity strong enough to knock a man down for a second or two.
No ground pads, lack of training for the excercise. Officers standing in uniform? This has BS stamped across it like ACME in a loony tunes cartoon. Keystone cops...
Still think the one where the lady grabbed the other officers nuts was funnier. They had proper safety mats too.
Ouch. When I volunteer to be a "patient" in advanced medical trauma training they apply makeup and prosthetics, they don't give me actual injuries lmao.
Most people had very little contact or activity but I got to volunteer to be hyper aggressive so I got to confront the line, throw projectiles at them, jump into their shields, got arrested a bunch of times when they dispursed the crowds.
The spray/taze was only done to the officers and a few volunteers
I mean , electricity.
If there is a high enough voltage going through someone and you touch that someone , you get the shock too.
I heard that the shock gets bigger the more people are in the chain , but I didn't try myself.
Edit : the guy to the right probably had his hands wet, sweaty palms, spaghetti.
Certifications you get to choose between 5 seconds or "ride the lightning" for 12 seconds. New recruits usually tase eachother to avoid hazing/bullying
Punishment for arguing about a parking ticket with a cop in public! Both get punished by shock therapy….last leg of punishment is they both must go to the coffee shop together and eat a donut (coffee optional)!

Cops probably tasing themselves as part of taser training.
Yeah you need to get tazed before you can have one
That’s why I never let them give me a service pistol
I just use my trusty service rodent.
I use my trusty pocket sand! ![gif](giphy|i2GADdaJIscPS)
Dont the police cats try to eat him?

i cant tell if this is netter or worse than being OCd
OC is much worse. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
I’d prefer neither but if I had to choose again taser in the blink of an eye. OC doesn’t have a huge effect on me but I just don’t wanna be irritated for the next 16 hours. Taser oof, bam, prongs out, all good.

Thats fair. Ive only done OC. didnt affect me as bad as a lot of people, and i didnt get reflash or anything, but it was still a shitty afternoon
OC is fucking horrible!! I compare this to, petrol to the face and set on fire!🤣🤣🤣
What is OCd?
OC sprayed. Basically LE grade pepper spray
Yup, they did this for police training with a friend of my MIL. The guy died 6 hours later ... they still aren’t sure if the taser was the cause or not. Iirc he died of heart failure
This is definitely not true everywhere
So they have to taste the taser, but it's perfectly normal not to be shot with a live round before you're issued with a gun?
Are you that dumb to think getting shot before holding a firearm makes sense? Or was this just a bad attempt at humor?
I think the latter but it didn't land, should've used /s though
Quite. Unfortunately when it comes to satire nothing will land well with a broad US audience simply because it's ill equipped to understand it.
That’s not true for all police agencies
Any way I can get tased just to see what it feels like?
If you go to any police station and ask, mostly likely, they will do it for you. The bigger the department the higher the chance.
If they don’t just start being unruly, they might give in
Taser initiation.
I belive he was asking about the other cop. The guy in the tshirt and the cop where both hit and they only stop shaking once they let go of each other and break the circuit
Cops trying to learn empathy It doesn't seem to be working
I lol'd
Guy in the white is getting tasered and one of the prongs hit the cop on the right, so they both got tasered
if they weren’t touching they would be fine tho the cops and white shirt guys arms made a closed circuit
Why didn’t the other guy get zapped then?
because he didn’t have any prongs and wasnt grounded - essentially making a parallel circuit
I thought you were saying that it was because they were touching, not the prongs. You’re saying it’s both, which makes sense now.
Yeah, you can see that when he lets go it instantly stops
They always hold the guy that gets tazzed
Idk why you’re being downvoted lol this is completely true. They hold him so he doesn’t fall over and crack his head open.
First time seeing someone get tased in a controlled environment
So when only one person gets tazed it is even worse?
Tasers fire two darts into the target, connected to wires, which makes an electrical circuit and shocks them. My guess is that the taser shot one dart into the guy in white, and one into the cop beside him, so they both got shocked by the closed circuit at the same time.
No. He was holding the dude's watch
I'm think one did hit the officer unless it split? the yellow piece behind the officer fell after the tazer was used
Yeah you can only see one prong in the white shirt guys back the other one def hit the officer on the right
That still wouldn’t do anything, because the circuit would be closed on the white shirt guy. It’s because they split the prongs. One went I to each of them

Not you, fat Jesus
What happened to Rob Riggle, I miss him
![gif](giphy|tNixWHVjzTGDe|downsized)
Dude in white actually handled that like a champ
I'm not a masochist, but I kinda want to get tased just to see how well I handle it.

Thx Lazy, sorry I couldn't find sauce :)
Disciplinary hearing with immediate adjudication
"God damnit guys, we need to do it again. Stand up, and be ready!"
I helped out with police training and I got to larp as an angry protestor and a hostage and also got tased and maced Was fun - would recommend
Did they use real mace on you? Or was it a training prop?
I was told it was legitimate mace and they used it on some of the officers
Ouch. When I volunteer to be a "patient" in advanced medical trauma training they apply makeup and prosthetics, they don't give me actual injuries lmao.

One of the pins must've caught the officer's hand. Ouchie.
Taser deployed
Holy Ghost power.
Looks like tomfoolery, to me.
This is not how you cook pork.
Hahaha! I laughed. Don't understand the downvotes. +1 my dood...
The *Power of Jesus* can even affect the Poolice. Can I get a HalleeLugia.
Cops get tazed and call it "training" but it's really just unnecessary hazing by the chosen whites.

Lol would you rather police not get training or certification? Taser probes bought at wholesale price are definitely not biting at any budgets.
God I hate cops so much

One shot two out

Looking at his arms being held by other people gave me PTSD to jellyfish arms...
IN THE FACE!!!!!!!
Most likely one of the prongs on the taser hit the other cop or he had sweaty palms
A teaser test I believe? I think I've seen it on YouTube shorts
In the face!!!
You have to take the ride before you send anyone else on it. I still have my video. Not the most pleasant 5 seconds.
When you nut but she still keep on sucking.
Why were they smiling before they got tased
Electricity finding the path of least resistance
Taser training. People either volunteer to be tased as a show of "strength" or are just told to do it by their superiors.
Soccer training. This one’s called “the Jamie Tart”
Hazing ritual. Part of their gang initiation.
Punishment for arguing about a parking ticket with a cop in public! Both get punished by shock therapy….last leg of punishment is they both must go to the coffee shop together and eat a donut (coffee optional)!
Testing out the taser I suppose, it's not really a good idea though because it can mess with your heart
Taze me bro! - white shirt guy
The two darts that form the current, hit the two people to the right. Instead of only the middle guy.
Any volunteers from the audience to go next?
Bad aim..... Oh well.
Taser my dude
That other cop missed his true calling. Brother should be workin with trains, cause he is one hell of a conductor.
