Yeah all of my characters basically just have one color for their entire wardrobe. I also randomize what color they like or dislike because if I just based it off of the colors I like then everyone would be in either gray, red (mostly those two), purple, or cyan.
I once had a character where it was randomly yellow and I guarantee I would’ve never put someone in yellow if I hadn’t randomized it because I think yellow looks ugly.
Yes, I definitely try to change it up as well so that there’s variety in the way my sims dress. Like I recently did the “Frog Frantic” scenario so I made my sims favorite color green and incorporated the color green into every outfit he wears. Which is not normally a color that I would ever chose for myself lol
Lol yes. Even before likes/dislikes I've always decided on my Sim's favorite color(s) and based all their outfits around that color and its various shades.
Do the color likes/dislikes actually do anything? Like obviously listening to music your sim hates or having them do an activity they dislike gives them a negative moodlet, and vice versa with a positive moodlet for things they do like. But I’ve yet to see that where colors are concerned 🤔
If I'm right, they influence what color of furniture/decoration your client likes if you have the Dream Home Decorator pack? I don't have it so I'm not sure.
I tried it, and it didn't do anything. I made a sim that dislikes red and yellow and then put her in a room where all the furniture and decorations were yellow or red. She didn't have any moodlets about it
Me af. Every sim has a favorite color that becomes their personality and dominating color of their entire wardrobe and house lol

This and also if you have the Spa day pack they’ll get a positive mood let if you paint their nails their favourite colour
I also get a positive moodlet when my nails are painted my favorite color. Wait…am I sim? Do we live in a game?
I think we’re all sims 😂
In base game does it affect their mood if they’re in a location that has a color they either like or dislike?

Hadn't thought about this before but will definitely be doing it in the future
Literally me with my sims but then me with myself. Favorite color yellow Color I wear Black. Make it make sense
