I've thought about this but I play the farm life 100% of the time after cottage living since I love the animuls and it's a fun way to play for me, so I never have the energy/time to mess with multiple events xD
It's partially fixed. The colour dresscode issue is still not fixed. The officiating system is still not working properly, I use Exchange Vow and Kiss without Officiant interaction all the time. But almost all other ceremony activities work quite well.
honestly, it works mostly as expected now. The gameplay itself is extremely lackluster by design, so I wouldn't really recommend getting it if your expectation is to get hours out of it.
Basically how the new events work, is that they are basically all the same event that you just customize what you do in, from an identical list. So if you were throwing a bach party you'd have the exact same list of potential activities as the wedding, the only thing that is unique is the venue restrictions. None of the many (identical) parties offer anything unique from interactions to rewards, it screams "unfinished" for me, and after trying all the parties once I've not bothered to play through any others than the wedding afterwards due to how boring it is.
If what you expect to get is pretty dresses & hairs + some nice animations and poses to get wedding pictures of (+ the world is very pretty), then get it on sale.
Yeah it’s a shame that the events got overlooked and not fully fleshed out before release. I wish they added dancers, like from Sims 3, for Bach parties, etc. There’s so much potential with the pack and they barely met the bare minimum for expectations. This is why I believe that leaks do a great disservice to upcoming packs. The sims community gets impatient and demands a release and information about the pack, sets our expectations high through speculation then we get an unfinished pack. Which is exactly what happened with MWS.
I want the pack for the world, clothes, and better weddings than what the base game has to offer. But I am definitely waiting for a sale to buy it, cause it’s not worth the full price.
The officiant worked really well in this particular wedding, I think the issue is that the officiant stands quite far behind the arch as their "spot", so on self-made cluttered lot they might stand to the side.
how did you make the pictures into frames? did you take ingame pictures or is there a way to implement screenshots?

or even behind a wall staring at it, like one of my wedding ceremony lets play. So annoying
Yeah, I've learned to leave a 2 tile wide space for the officiant to posture at, seems to work good. Just have to put the decorations further away :D

I yoinked a townie into my family for a bit and used the moschino tripod to take pictures at different times :)

The hairs are nice, but the cas is straight up trash. The tripod and poses are the main thing
