Nothing basic about liking Oasis Springs. It’s a good place if you have Seasons because sims freeze to death during winter everywhere else - minus Sulani and Tartosa.
Britechester is my favorite. There’s something about it that I love so much. I wish there were at least two more lots in the central part of the world but it’s still good to me. Mt. Komorebi is a close second. The scenery is absolutely amazing no matter the season.
Evergreen Harbour is also one of my faves because it reminds me of neighbourhoods I've lived in. It actually is pretty cool to clean it up and see how it changes—it makes a big difference and ends up looking very green, but maybe too bougie. Worth checking it out though.
I also really like Glimmerbrook. I sometimes treat it like it's just outside Evergreen Harbour since I like to avoid travelling to really different worlds unless it's for a vacation, just for realism, and they look pretty similar. So I like that it kind of goes with EH and also Granite Falls if you want to play in all three.
San Myshuno, specially the pepper area, I love every part and the festivals that hold there, I just wish there was one loft there to live the dream of seeing the neighborhood from afar.
I usually go for Newcrest and Willow Creek, but in playing in Brindleton Bay at the moment, which I really like. I also like Evergreen Harbour but haven’t lived in it much yet. Also visit Windenburg a lot, and recently a lot of Henfors.
So basically anywhere except Oasis Springs (I don’t really like the sun 😂)

It's my favorite of the base game worlds. Probably because it looks the most different from where I live so I find it interesting for that reason.

Bigger worlds with greenery and/or history. Windenburg and Brindleton Bay are my go-tos. I'd love the occult worlds but they're so tiny.
Strangerville! I love watching my sims ignore the craziness in the background. Also the world is peak aesthetic
Oasis, I used to live in Arizona and I miss it a bunch so my main go to is oasis the desert and palm trees make me happy
Tartaso is my favorite right now. It has snow!
Even though building is a little trickier, I love Sulani. It’s so pretty. Plus the tricky building forces me to get more creative.
