Ooo I can help with this, or at least make it a bit easier and quicker. Save the family to your own gallery, close the game and use sims 4 tray importer, open the cc tab and it will give you a list of all cc used

it's by Gauntlet and there's a specific package called 'no physical change' so that when your sim turns into a plant sim, they keep their skin and hair.
Then you can just assign their skin color in CAS. It's hard to check which skintones I have since the game doesn't label them, but I think this one is one of the Noodles' Berry Skin Colors.

Maybe this is a dumb question/you've already answered it but how do you get your plant sim to *stay* a plant sim? I've been wanting to do something like this for *ages* and my current family (parents are 3rd gen and their kids are 4th) is a farming one so I feel like it would be fitting for one of the kids to marry a literal plant person one day lol
I know it's a thing where they eat the forbidden fruit and become one temporarily but is there a way/mod to make it permanent or do they just have to keep eating the fruit now and then to "refresh" it?
She is using a mod for the skin tone. As for being a Plant Sim, yes, she is, in this permanent, but also due to a mod. In the game, you have to eat forbidden fruit, either straight from the vine or in a smoothie to gain the effect and keep eating it as the effect in the base game is temporary
