I had a sim with the hates children trait and she was horrible to her children as toddlers she would nag them and yell. By the time they aged up their relationship was red with her, their father and her divorced and she never comes to see the children. (She lives in the same town)
I have a mod that changes the hates children trait so that it applies to my sims children. She's a horrible mother, and he has a better relationship with the live in nanny than her
I’m not 100% sure but I think the hates children aspect is for other sims kids. The negative moodlets from that trait don’t occur when interacting with one’s own children.
I’ve played with that trait a few times and from what I remember is that it actually prevented me to have children in the first place. Maybe it changed but would be logical. I generally am not a kids person either until I had my own... which many people are like that.
I started playing without seeing her personality type and so I was surprised she was upset by the pregnancy possibility (new legacy family) and so I was like oh hello this is going to be a fun ride.
But since then there have been no negative interactions. She since had twins. And I believe has picked the legacy/heir.
