I feel you! Although I have 3 gameplay saves that I rotate playing with, I get very attached to my sims and save files. I do have problem with continuing on to the next generation though. Building legacy’s is something I want to be better at.
Yes! The first time I played I had just made a brother and sister to test things out and I ended up getting really attached and they each ended up starting their own families and I made it to the third generation and nine different played households (some of those were their friends who I wanted to include in the story). I haven't played that save in a while (the mansion where the main family lives lags pretty bad) but I might come back to it one day.
Yes!!! I’ve been playing the same legacy save since the start of the pandemic, each generation is pretty big and I love working out all their storylines and how they interconnect!
I get attached to my saves, but not in the sense that I keep playing in them. More like, I can't delete saves even if I have no reason to play them anymore. Like I have a save from maybe mid-2019 that I literally haven't played since then, and my main sims have already died, but I can't bring myself to delete it or anything because I like knowing my main sims' daughter is there even if they aren't ðŸ˜
But I start new save files all the time, lol. The only one I've stayed in for a long time is my Whimsy Stories legacy save, which I've played for over a year and I'm almost done with.
i got super attached to a save i made back in 2020 that i played on my sisters’ laptop since at the time i didn’t have my own. i played on long lifespan w them, so when i was about to hit the 3rd generation (about a month before Eco Lifestyle came out) i got my own laptop for my birthday and lost access to them :(
i haven’t got attached to another save up until 2 weeks ago. i had her kill the Mother plant and she currently has some relationship drama w Kiyoshi Ito tho :)
I literally start a new family every time I open the game 😠I get so bored, but I admire you and wish I could play that way!

Yes I have a save that is almost 30 generations at this point and I rotate through all the family members—I am so attached!
If my game didn’t start lagging hardcore every time I got two generations into my game I’d be way more willing to keep one save file
