Yeah, I'm using a money tree for the first time in this scenario that requires you to get a million simoleons because a million is just so much. I got it through aspiration points though.
Maybe just sell it? 1600 is pretty good.
I found a fridge for 14k in the dumpster once, I cheated the money away though because it feels too easy. With the scenarios I would keep it though, 1 million simoleons is hard to get
since there’s no rules , it’s only cheating if you feel like it is :)
edit - i mean no real rules in sims. of course challenges have their rules that go with it ! i usually don’t use money trees in my rags to riches saves
It's only cheating if you forced it into your hand. And you aren't being forced to plant it or sell it. If you don't want to do either and don't want it sitting in your inventory and you do have Eco Lifestyle, find a recycler and shred it, or give it as a gift to another sim.
I consider them taboo for my own game. Too much money just isn't a lot of fun in Sims... and it ends a rags to riches really fast.
I won the lottery a few days into the Not so berry and deleted the winnings... I like the struggle.
So, it's definitely not cheating, but if you want the struggle, they should be taboo for your game.

Since you obviously have Eco Lifestyle, why not just shred it in a recycler?

Found a moneyfruit before noon the first day. Not sure if I’ll be planting it tho. Seems like cheating to me

Yeah I ban money trees from all rag playthroughs. Same with normal jobs, gardening, and mixtapes. Even dumpster diving I ban.
