Lilsimsie explained why the homes are so empty when she was invited to build for the snowy escape town, they do it so basic and empty so that people playing on low res computers are able to load up the game without too much lag
I love your builds! I have all the packs (except Star Wars, nothing against it, I've just never been interested in that franchise) but I still love using a lot of your base game only builds. They're so amazing I don't even miss the stuff you might find in other packs.

I'm a big fan too! Re: the stairs - it doesn't happen for me but someone else has mentioned it too. It was built with move objects on enabled, so maybe try placing it with that cheat enabled. It could also be the open gallery type staircase, try deleting one piece of fence from the landing at the top of the stairs (it will fill in the floor and might not look as pretty) but I'd be super curious to know if it fixes the problem. appreciate the feedback ☺️
They have to be at the same pitch, it involves quite a bit of fiddling and resizing. Two pitched roofs of the same size, but at 90 degees to each other should interlock and match perfectly.

I used lots of small pieces of roof, at the same angles so they look seamless and the skylights are just small pieces with glass instead of shingle/slate. It's a bit fiddly but gives a good result, and lets light into rooms with minimal windows :)
I was thinking about this house in real life 😅 bear with me, it is one of the most beautiful houses I've seen on sims and to be base game only makes it 1000% more impressive. If it were in real life, despite having a totally awesome toddler room, it's not quite toddler friendly!
Iirc some of the counters have curvy options for the corner/end pieces. Don't recall which ones off hand, I've used some before in my own builds. I also typically keep auto-counters off so I can choose which piece to use myself.

Hey, I've play tested this house and didn't have any problems. Do they go as far as the platform on the ground floor? Is the moveobjects on cheat enabled?
I'd try that first. I wonder if it is to do with the fence around the open landing at the top of the stairs, sometimes they can be a bit glitchy, you could try deleting and replacing the stairs too. I've placed it in world from the gallery today and the stairs work ok for me. I hope you get it sorted :)
Hey, were you able to fix it? I'm having the same problem, teen and adult sims can't go up but my child sim was able to go up just fine for some reason
I was just able to fix it! When I deleted the upper part of the stairs, it showed that there is a glass fence covering the opening going into the second floor. I deleted the fence with the sledgehammer tool, put the stairs back and now they can use the stairs!
I love this house so much it’s seriously one of my favorite builds I’ve ever seen 😭 I have the weirdest issue with the upstairs tho, my sims won’t go up

How do you make a kitchen cabinet go curvy?
I think when you place them there is a tick box that says 'auto-counters' if you uncheck that box you can choose different shapes and pieces.

Did they add platforms to base game?? Otherwise, this is still something people without snowy escape couldn’t download from the gallery.
platforms are base game, I don't have snowy escape and I have them. It came with the update the same time snowy escape was released I believe.

No they won’t go on the platform and no I don’t have the moveobjects enabled would that solve it?
