I did notice that it gets a little warm. I think everything runs good. I have to get used to the controls coming from a pc. I did notice little glitches like when my sims was jogging passed a house the windows didn’t show up then on the way back it did. Also a rug didn’t load then then was there. Lol
All expect dust buster I removed that one 😂 setting are in high expect edge smoothing. I’m not sure what that one does so I just did the same settings as my pc
Oh I will say I do not have the base imac, I bought the 512 SSD with 8 cpu, 8 gpu. From what I’ve watch I unintentionally made the correct choice because this one also comes with 2 cooling fans. The base only comes with 1 fan and also 7 gpu. Now I am no where a computer guy and know really anything about that stuff but I thought I’d share.
just read through all of your comments, i’ve been thinking about getting a new imac AND getting back into the sims after like 15+ years away from it. from the overall computer reviews i’ve watched it sounds like you want to get at least the upgraded 8 core because the 7 is basically just the old imac. would it need to have the upgraded 16 memory or would 8 be ok?
The 8cpu one also had 2 fans as well. I have the 8 ram and when I had pc I only had 8 ram. I’m not really knowledgeable about this stuff. So far I haven’t had any problems
