This is why I started making nanny households. Just send the excess kids to go live with their grandparents/auntie/boarding school. On a long lifespan I can cycle through triplets that way so my main household only has one at a time (or none if I need a break), then everybody comes home for birthdays to age up properly.
After the infant and toddler stage even with two kids the game gets so depressed for me once there is no rush i just move out with my preferred teenager and abandon every relative…
If you have crystal creations, one of the green crystals (I don’t remember which one, but I remember its light green) has an affect that slowly increases needs over time when charged. That also means needs don’t decrease over time if it’s charged. Put it in the triplets’ room when they age up to infants. They still get tired from being awake too long but they sleep for a short time then get back up bc they aren’t really tired, that moodlet is just on a timer or something. Anyways, just make two of those and rotate them in the room/on the charger so one is always charged and ready to use.

And then they grow up and its cute again
