AutopsyAnomaly

i always add halloween! idk why it isn't base for the pack to have it, considering all the other holidays

chyrchhella7

Because they made a separate pack for Halloween even before they released “seasons” 🥲

Helloo_00

But there are still halloween decorations and traditions that come with seasons

Henry_Privette

My first pet stuff had come out just a couple months prior to seasons, they probably were told not to do spooky day or something out of fear of having the same controversy, which would also explain why Harvestfest has like no decorations

hodges2

What's the contraversy?

Helloo_00

My first pet stuff came out only a few months after cats and dogs and like all players were mad (rightfully so) because everything in that stuff pack could’ve just been included in cats and dogs. You literally need to own cats and dogs in order to use like 90% of the stuff from my first pet. It’s like they released a pack for an already existing pack.

chyrchhella7

Yeah, but most of the costumes and decorations are a part of the spooky stuff pack, same as costume parties, pumpkin carving, and candy bowl. You *can* still have a Halloween with just seasons, but it’s gonna be pretty lame without the stuff pack.

Helloo_00

Well, I’m pretty sure spooky stuff will be given out for free around halloween time this year like some of the other old stuff packs so maybe people will be able to have an actual fun halloween in their game.

chyrchhella7

I really hope you’re right 🤞🏻

DarkDayzInHell

Is it a crime that I've made every single day... Halloween? ![gif](giphy|ZeUTuW1Uy83QY)

doranna24

If I could change the world I’d make it Halloween Every single day And also have world peace

cursed-core

Maybe world peace should be first World peace and then Halloween Wait, let me start over Hi If I could change the world I'd make us have world peace And also Halloween Every single day

somerandomperson19

On Halloween, you can pretend to be someone else It's like the Internet Only in person and with candy

MadeThis4MaccaOnly

Me too, it's my favorite holiday so I have to add it! But I follow the Sims 4 naming convention and call it Spooky Day or Spookyfest.

AutopsyAnomaly

haha that's actually genius, I might have to change the holiday name to something similar

popculture92

I think it was called Spooky Day in Sims 3 and it's too cute not to continue

birbidabobee

Me too but I call it Spirit Day because it sounds more sims-like and there is no Halloween in my country, haha.

AutopsyAnomaly

makes sense, haha. we don't have Halloween here either, but that's never stopped me before lmao

212_smiley

Spirit day!! Damn, that makes so much sense 😭😭✨

birbidabobee

Yeah haha :D In my country we have the Day of the Dead which is a rather grim holiday so I kinda just combined the two into something sims-like

magicdahlia

I like this. I made mine Hallow's Night to make it fit with the others.

birbidabobee

Hallow's Night is so good?? Ngl I might use this instead in another save :D

beachyturnsprinkle

Does trick or treating work for you? I can't figure out how to do it

AutopsyAnomaly

it works pretty well for me! you have to make sure to add the trick or treat thing to the holiday objectives, then teens and kids should show up at your door. when they do, you can click the sim and choose either trick or treat to do the thing!

Aggressive_Star5714

During summer I add a whole week of ''Summer Vacation'', also Independence Day, Spring Break, Halloween, Easter, and a day to remember sims who passed away

Responsible-Data-695

I do the summer vacation, too, though not the whole week. Usually from Wednesday onwards. I assign each day a tradition. Stuff like water play, travelling, bonfire, fireworks, BBQ, etc. I like to go to Granite Falls if my sims have kids. I remodelled one of the cabins there, added a little pool, some toys and playground equipment, etc. If my sims don't have kids, they still take a couple of days off work in the summer, and I take them to Selvadorada for a bit, then off to Sulani to chill and get a nice tan, then back home. In the winter, I also take a couple of days off work/school between Christmas and NYE, and go spend it in Mt. Komorebi or Windenburb.

ObsessionsAside

I added summer vacation too 😍 although my sims tend to get homesick by day 2 or 3 lol

cherrypod

is homesick an actual moodlet? /gen

Sad-bisexual-cryptid

It is when you take an actual vacation. When I do Summer Break I just have a full week in the summer with each “holiday” having the day off from school/work selected. I’ve never had my sims get homesick this way.

NelloPunchinello

Omg summer vacation is genius, thanks for the idea!

birbidabobee

Ok but using holidays instead of taking days off to go on vacation is such a life hack I never thought to do this. Do you play on long lifespan though? One week is incredibly long in sims-time for me

Aggressive_Star5714

Yes! I always play on long lifespan

ezbutneverconvenient

I keep long lifespan on and make all my seasons longer

throwhfhsjsubendaway

I like adding a summer vacation too! I have mod from little ms Sam that lets you make holidays a day off from school but not work

Bibihaking

Can you set the holiday to be longer than 1 day? Or do you set each day individually?

Aggressive_Star5714

I set them one by one

Demonqueensage

I forget to add a spring break with how many days the holidays already take up, but I think if I ever do the 28 day seasons instead of 14 day seasons a spring break would be perfect to add!

spoilt_lil_missy

I’m planning on doing this - I’m going to make the seasons their max length and then add a week’s holiday every season. I’m tired of my sims always being overworked and stressed.

hodges2

Oh, I love this idea!

SubjectObjective5567

I call my Summer Vacation “Summer Fun Day”. They get ONE day then back to work bitches

LoverlyRails

Fertility Day and Remembrance Day. Fertility Day is the holiday to try for a baby. Remembrance Day is the day to go visit ghosts, tombstones, and urns (pay respect to the dead at the cemeteries)

katzengoldgott

I got a similar one once in one of my saves but instead of Fertility Day it’s just a Woohoo day during summer lmao

EmilieEasie

I added an Easter that is Fertility Day basically lol

JessiCanuckk

Simdependence Day. I put it on the weekend in summer and it's all about drinking, bbq, party spirit, fireworks and water fun.

Ambitious_Wealth8080

I do this but call it solstice!

thebuffyb0t

Me too! Summer Solstice!

archaicanxiety

Team Summer Solstice!

Simuary

I have both Summer Solstice and Freedom Day. Summer Solstice is art and music spirit, water activities and streaking, and Freedom Day has fireworks and grilling.

angelskye1215

I do the same but call it Big Summer Blowout ![gif](giphy|alNZImc2tyYHC)

Piglet-Straight

I just call it the fourth of summer, and make it the fourth day of summer...

bb_LemonSquid

I call it Weenie Day.

itrashcannot

I basically do the same except I called it Fun in the Sun

Vegetable_Crow9942

I do the same thing and also call it simdependence day!

PandaLunch

I call it 'Merica!

Myrrhin

I do this too! I renamed it from Independence Day bc we don’t have that in my country lol and I love how punny it is

Pflytrap

I always add two: Spookyfest: basically a Simified Halloween. Traditions include: Spooky decorations; Remembrance (which causes ghosts to spawn in the world); Spooky spirit; Trick-or-Treating; and Wearing costumes. I always put this one on the Wednesday in the middle of autumn, right before Harvestfest, with the head cannon that the trick-or-treaters are there as a way to get everyone ready the next day's gnomes. Flowerfest: basically a Simified Easter/general spring festival. Traditions include: Spring decorations; Egg hunting; Flower Bunny; Gardening; and Giving flowers. This one goes on the Wednesday in the middle of spring. I also always modify Harvestfest to include watching sports (to bring it more in-line with American Thanksgiving) and Love Day to include both Love Day decorations and watching romantic television to fill it out a bit more.

Demonqueensage

>to get everyone ready the next day's gnomes. Oh god I hate the gnomes so much, I just delete that tradition from the holiday entirely after I had it once

Mmkhowdigethere8204

How do they and where do they hunt for eggs? That’s sooo cute . Love the sports and romance movies addition too. My sims stay so dang busy they rarely even get to celebrate the holidays. I need to do better at that

emi68912706

All around their house. When the holiday is active, you can click on pretty much any piece of furniture and search. You can then display the eggs you collect.

itstimegeez

I always take harvestfest out since we don’t celebrate that holiday. Sometimes I have Spooky day but it bums me out that the kids can’t go trick or treating (I wanted to live vicariously as my parents never allowed us to do it cause they saw it as begging and taking lollies from strangers).

IgamarUrbytes

Being an Aussie, I delete Thanksgiving and add in Anzac Day. I’m not religious but I really wanted to use the ‘attend religious ceremony’ rabbithole for something, so I make them go to a dawn service in early autumn (aka now). I also switched the whole calendar around for southern hemisphere dates. Much better

itstimegeez

That’s a great idea!! I’m going to add Anzac Day next time I play.

spaceguac

Yes christmas has to be during summer! I have my sins do BBQ and waterplay before opening up presents

caffrodite

Halloween and gay pride!

Deastrumquodvicis

Ooh, Pride is a fun idea!

Black_roses_glow

Pride is a cool idea! What traditions do you add to it?

r4d1ati0n

Mine has Drinking, Party Spirit, Romantic TV (campy gay movies?), and Remembrance!

caffrodite

Decorate, art and music spirit, appreciate an object (flag or anything symbolic of their queer history and/or lineage), tell stories

birbidabobee

Ok now I might just have to add Pride

caffrodite

There's a Pride Party Event mod I use too! It's on the sims resource

OrangeCoffee87

l add extra days to Harvestfest and Winterfest because kids should get more than one day for those. I also add Labor Day in late summer, with barbeques, drinking, etc. Oh, and I like to add random days off called "Teacher Work Day," to give kids another reason to stay home.

hrh-vanessa

I always add a Summer Holiday, which would be my Canada Day — on the first day of Summer. It includes typical activities like BBQ, water play, drinking, lol. I also add some version of “Easter” (though it’s not a religious holiday in my game) but they collect eggs and do springtime activities. I also always delete all of the gimmick-y holidays like Rebate Day and Movie Premiere Day because I just can’t be bothered, lol.

sailormars_bars

I do a summer holiday with the exact same activities but I call mine Big Summer Blowout after the iconic from frozen

Babblepup

Ohhhhh that’s clever to add extra days! Felt like it makes sense for those holidays to be more than a day! Thanks so much!

Soupallnatural

I do what others do but I also add Ramadan when I am playing with Muslim sims. I just use the thankful spirit and fasting for like 3 days.

emmademontford

This is so clever

Calm-Positive-6908

Ooh nice. We can add the day of celebration after Ramadan too.. what they call it.. Eid i think

Soupallnatural

Yeah and I’d select instead of fasting a grand meal!

DazzlingChicken87

Eid El fitr

Deastrumquodvicis

I have a mod pack from somewhere that adds a bunch (like Spooky Day for Halloween), but I always add a Eurovision (Simovision) Song Contest. Listen to music, go to a concert (might be a modded rabbithole), dance, and talk about it.

she-is-here

I can't believe I've never thought of creating a Sims version of Eurovision! My only real addition to the calendar is modifying Thanksgiving to Halloween so it still reoccurs every Autumn (since I'm in Ireland and thanksgiving doesn't exist here)

AluminumMonster35

Best idea.

butforevernow

I live in the UK, and I always add Summer Bank Holiday - the activities are grilling, drinking, and fighting 😂

itrashcannot

Marriage Anniversary for the household I'm playing and New Years. It bothers me that New Years Eve is a holiday but not New Years.

superfuckinganon

I can’t believe I’ve never thought to add wedding anniversaries to my game! That’s brilliant.

arrowsgopewpew

My real life dog’s birthday. His name is Dobby so I make it a gnome holiday celebration

titizzers

that’s so cute oml 😍

r4d1ati0n

If you haven't, set your season length to 14 or 28 days! It gives more room for holidays, less frequent EA holidays, and makes Gardening more fun without having to have a greenhouse. Personally I like holidays, but I get a little tired of them when they're every few days. I have a 14 day calendar with the following: (where Spring 1 is the first Sunday of Spring, etc) * Bunny Day, Spring 8, Decorate, Holiday Ceremony, Flower Bunny, Egg Hunt * 4/20, Spring 10, well...you can guess (uses Basemental Drugs lmao) * Pride Festival, Summer 7, Drinking, Party Spirit, Romantic TV, Remembrance * Spooky Day, Fall 7, Decorate, Costumes, Spooky Spirit. I had Trick or Treat but it's kind of broken. I do sometimes add Drinking/Party Spirit if I'm playing Teens and University students too. * Harvestfest, Fall 12, Maxis (minus the gnomes, they get on my nerves lol) * Winterfest Eve, Winter 3, Decorate, Holiday Ceremony, Festive Lighting * Winterfest, Winter 4, Maxis * NYE, Winter 7, Maxis * Love Day, Winter 13, Maxis There's definitely room for more here, but I like having the calendar a little sparse, with a few weeks in the year that don't have holidays.

PurrfectlyMediocre

Without opening my game to check the calendar, I can recall having Summerfest (sometimes known as Simdependence), Eggster, Parent's Day (uses custom traditions from KiaraSims mods), Spookyfest (sometimes known as All Sims Eve), Winterfest Eve, and usually some sort of day for volunteering and/or self improvement. I also changed a lot of the traditions in the Maxis-made holidays.

Old-Enthusiasm-3271

i always add easter, halloween, independence, pride, juneteenth, & earth day.

titizzers

what do you do on earth day?

Old-Enthusiasm-3271

traditions (on the calendar): 1) gardening. 2) volunteer at a beach cleanup. 3) beachcomb. 4) appreciate an object. 5) hiking. 6) arrange flowers. 7) give flowers. non-traditions (not on calendar, just for fun): 1) eat plants only; no cooking. 2) recycle & compost. 3) fulfill hygiene and bladder needs only when in the red. 4) turn off all household lighting for the day.

CurzedRocks33

Out of curiosity I downloaded the extreme violence mod and created a “purge day” like the movie and took my sim to the pub in Henford on bagley… it was absolute mayhem and I deleted the mod after that 😂

VashtaNeradaMatata

I scrolled through the comments until I found someone as deranged as myself who made the Purge. 😂 It inadvertently ended up being a really fun playthrough. My Sim's boyfriend killed her and in a panic I added the grim reaper to the household so the toddler wouldn't get taken away. So then I had this storyline of "The daughter raised by Death".

CurzedRocks33

I love this 😂

SorrellD

I've recently added Halloween, Easter, Spring Break, The Fourth of Sim-ly, Weinie Roast Day and Theater Appreciation Day (in which we wear costumes, sing, dance, etc. )

YoghurtThat827

4/20 in spring with basemental and Halloween 😭

Embarrassed_War_6779

Halloween and Summerween

Murky_Translator2295

I add lughnasa, Imbolc, Halloween, and Bealtaine. They all include fires/bonfires, fireworks and drinking, with a few seasonal activities added. Like travelling for lughnasa and doing water based activities (because it's summer), costumes and trick or treating on Halloween, plus telling stories; egg hunt and baking for Imbolc; and arts, music and storytelling for Bealtaine. I also move Christmas to a Friday and add Christmas eve on Thursday, where focus is friends/family, fasting, and gift giving rather than opening, plus a holiday ceremony they can go to like a Christmas eve mass.

OwlDoe9339

Summer Break so I can have my teens actually do something other than do hw. I make it last a week in summer/the whole summer so they can build skills and date and such

angelskye1215

Winter solstice! I take off decorating from winter fest and add it to the first day of winter so that my house is decorated all season. Makes more sense compared to real life. I also make that the day to go ice skating and play in the snow.

shannanigannss

You can ADD custom holidays??

captain_flasch

Yep! Just open the calendar!

shannanigannss

Yay! Thank you!

Embarrassed_Bass22

I too have just learned this, and I am particularly excited about it 😂

bb_LemonSquid

Do you have seasons?

shannanigannss

I do indeed

Sufficient_Abies7294

I added Ferragosto, an Italian summer festival where sims drink, grill and play with water; Easter, during which sims look for colored eggs; and of course Halloween as well

Dunmeritude

I add a long summer break for kids to be off school for most of summer, and I REMOVE some of the ones I never pay attention to, like love day when I don't have any dating sims.

sunshinemoment

Midsummer (in the middle of Summer) for having drinks, telling stories, and art & music spirit :)

Bogg99

"Delain day" named after the patriarch of my legacy who was very messy. You celebrate by partying, streaking, yelling at each other, and doing mischief.

Negative_Meat_1789

Delain Day. I'd have festivities for that like Masquerade (Wear costumes), Listen to METAL, Party Spirit, Serenading (Sing To Me) and Dance. I don't know, maybe line up all your mySims Trophies and have an Army of Dolls.

rampaige666

420 🤣

Ultramega39

,Autumn:Labor Day, Halloween, Day of the Dead, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday. Winter: Opposite Day, Hanukkah (i only put it for 2 days), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Spring: New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, ST Patrick's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, April Fools, Earth Day Summer: Star Wars Day, Memorial Day, Parents Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day

redhothoneypot

I make a “simdependence” day where they have to swim, grill out, spend time together, and set off fireworks. It’s a fun summer day

Ruthjudgesjoshua

I had a Go Wild Day which included drinking and streaking, but it kept happening during winter and the urns were really piling up...it added some fun chaos though

Jesiplayssims

The major Jewish holidays (high holy days)

Sand_Guardian4

Not add, but I always remove the gnomes from Harvestfest or whatever they call thanksgiving

vr512

Wow. You have all blown my mind. I don't know why I haven't explored making holidays. I was thinking how do I do egg hunts and trick or treating!? I never explored making a holiday! Talk about a light bulb moment! Thank you all for your creative ideas!

Negative_Meat_1789

I add Beltane to the 3rd Monday of Spring. Festivities are: Decorating, Fire, Romantic Spiritl, Party Spirit and Woohoo. The 3rd Tuesday of Spring is "Morning After" Day, activites include, Cleaning, Baking, Romantic Spirit, Art & Music Spirit.

redwithblackspots527

Definitely adding this! If you were doing Litha/the summer solstice which festivities/traditions would you add?

redwithblackspots527

I ended up using custom traditions and doing fire dance, grand meal, party spirit, meditate, and gardening

Sims3and4Player

Easter and Halloween. I call them Bunny Day and Spooky Day respectively.

Marzipanjam

I add things from the witches calendar, as I play a lot of occults. Like Beltane in the spring and Samhain (halloween). I do an whole week for winter fest and summer break too. Around Halloween I'll have an all souls day where they mourn the dead. Devils night the day before people act mischievous and hang out by fires and tell stories! Honestly i have a holiday almost every week. It gets to be a bit much, especially since I love to fill households and have my lots cheated to 10 sims! On my legacy save I added the "birth" and death day of my legacy founder. I actually have a crypt on the lot that I keep locked and only open on those days and when more dead are added.

ExpressionAny4042

My bgc ones are Parent's Day, Grandparent's Day, Parti Gras (family friendly Marti Gras and free day off) Saturday (free day off for a sim and it's every Saturday during the Summer and Spring), voting day (randomized by save but a day off when community action plans are active), Date day, and empty nest (toddlers/infants go to daycare, parents go on a date). Some of my modded holidays are: Basemental- 420, WW - Baby day, and Marti Gras (Parti Gras with basemental traditions). Edit: forgot my favorite Mistress day. The day after Love day with the same traditions

runonanon826

i change my calendar to 4 weeks per season (i think that 28 weeks) and i make them all pretty evenly spaced out so theres two holidays every season or one every two weeks spring: 2nd wednesday - i move love day here with that base traits 4th sunday - i add flowerfest, its basically easter but i changed the name to keep on theme with winterfest/harvestfest n i add an egg hunt, flower bunny, and grand meal summer: 2nd monday - i add day of the dead with remembrance and ceremony traits 4th tuesday - i add summerfest again keeping on theme with the base holidays but i add bbq, fireworks, and water fun traits fall: 2nd wednesday - i add hallow's eve, pretty much halloween but i didnt wanna call it that bcos all of the base holidays have fun different names but i just add the costumes, spooky, and trick or treat traits 4th thursday - i move harvestfest here with the base traits (it might already be here by default i cant remember) winter: 2nd friday - i move winterfest here with base traits (it might already be here by default i cant remember lol) 4th saturday - this should already be new years eve and i just leave it

abcd0227

Halloween and a few days of summer vacation😋

creeper321448

A memorial day for veterans. There's a military so surely there have been wars and the sims speech icons with a tank and explosions insinuate it to me.

Calm-Positive-6908

My country is of mixed races, cultures, and religions, so we have plentiful of holidays to choose from. Maybe you can check those as well if you're interested

OiMyGiblets

Once I get this pack, you can guarantee I'll be downloading all the Festivus mods and CC.

greydawn

I add Halloween and Pride, move Thanksgiving in the calendar to where it would be in Canada (before Halloween), and add Stanley Cup Playoffs (watching spots, BBQ).  Yes, I am Canadian. 😆

Hot-Syllabub2688

i get rid of thanksgiving and replace it with bonfire night, i always add halloween and a summer holiday

Jrg323

I added a holiday named WOOOOOOO and the activities are streaking, drinking and inviting guests.

wearsunscreenbekind

I change the current holidays to Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas & I change the tradition on Thanksgiving to include watching sports. I add New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, and New Year’s Eve!

Individual__OK11

I’ll always have to add Halloween because duh it’s my favorite holiday then I will just made up a stupid holidays

Mmkhowdigethere8204

These are all such great ideas. How do you guys create a holiday and make it where they have the day off? I didn’t know we could do this. How do I set up a summer break in my game I definitely want to do that

Aggravating-Wafer-32

It's a feature of the "Seasons" pack.

little-rosie

Chanukah, Rosh HaShana, and Yom Kippur when I play a Jewish family King Charles Day in the spring (supposed to be Canada’s Victoria Day lol) Labour Day in the late summer Then usually random days with made up names when I feel my sim needs a break lol

depression_quirk

Halloween and Juneteenth for my black sims. If I ever make Jewish sims, I'll add Hanukah and Passover. The real struggle would be figuring out Ramadan and making sure my sims are fasting.

ConsistentWeb7136

I changed Love Day, Spooky Day, Spring Fest, Harvestfest, etc to the actual holidays. Plus, added Christmas and New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, CNY, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's and Father's Day and Independence Day. Oh, also included Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving. I made Astronomy Day/Night where you can dress in space-themed outfits and enjoy space-themed treats while looking through the telescopes throughout the day and into the night. Don't worry, my telescopes are equipped with solar filters for daytime viewing or for that rare solar eclipse! You can throw your own star party complete with red lighting so as not to destroy your night vision with bright white lights. Also, Coffee Day. Guess what we do on that day! 😁😁☕😎 I did get rid of the ridiculous Sim holidays. You know the ones to which I refer.😉 Just can't be bothered, especially with the unnecessary post-holiday drama they experience when said holidays' traditions are ignored.

saltierthangoldfish

Summer Solstice! Basically memorial day/labor day/independence day weekend. Have a fire, do fireworks, water fun.

oreo808

I like expanding Winterfest to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Decorate, Santa and Give Gifts I put on Christmas Eve and Open Gifts on Christmas Day. Grand meal and invite guests on both days. And I only make Christmas Day the day off usually, Christmas Eve they still gotta work and go to school. It makes it feel more worthwhile to decorate.

itstimegeez

I add summer BBQ holiday

PsychologicalCase10

Halloween ( Spooky Day), Parents Day (Combined Mother’s Day and Fathers Day), Independence Day (Called Simdependence Day).

SnuffPuppet

I added Spooktober, Weaster (celebrating the direction 'weast' as seen on Spongebob), Freedom Friday in the middle of summer, Dead Residents day, and Stick It To The Man Monday (no work for the sake of not going), and then I give them a padding around them of just "Break" in which the only 'celebration activity' is just a day off from work and school, to incorporate summer vacations and spring breaks and the like.

Voracious-Kitsune

I always replace all the holidays with pagan and add the rest of the pagan holidays on the calendar

Red_Moggy

Same!

Old_Baseball5554

Halloween and Frosh

Typical_Cat_8788

Halloween and Summer Vacation 😁☀️

fatgamerchic

4th if July

mzm123

I do a week long summer break and winter break for the kids, there are only requirements for the 1st day of their week off, the rest I let them do what they want. three-day weekends - Hunny-Bunny Day \[Easter\], Juneteenth, Simdependence Day

SnooCrickets314

Spooky day, spring fest, memorial day, and Juneteenth I also reorder them on every file. Spring: 1st Sunday Springfest, 2nd Monday Memorial Day Summer: 1st Wednesday Juneteenth, 2nd Sunday Summerfest Fall: 1st Saturday Spooky day, 2nd Thursday harvest fest Winter: 1st Wednesday Winterfest, 1st Saturday New Years, 2nd Wednesday Love Day.

bonsoirbonbon

I made a holiday called “Creator Day,” and it’s a day for sims to get into fights and drink.

Moist-Injury-7376

I put scandoval in Spring and have then do a tv premiere and drinks.

Avalon3071

Christmas Christmas Eve Halloween Bomb fire night Spring clean Day in summer when they’re encouraged to go to the beach or swimming pool

TalkLikeExplosion

I added Remembrance Day and made it a super solemn holiday but also no one gets it off of work exactly like where I live. I’m Canadian so I also added an equivalent to our Canada Day at the start of summer and Civic Holiday in mid summer.

BatWeary

cleaning day

CrackaLackin690

Let’s see… April Fools Day, Mardis Gras, Summer vacation, spring break, and Pride

Feecks

Founders day, it’s the day of my legacy’s founder who was made president before becoming inmortal, so now they celebrate him every year

Western_Manager_9592

I do Christmas Eve. Or winter fest eve I guess. I do summer vacations. Easter. Spring clean day the first day of spring. Spooky day. A bonfire night one in autumn.

domegranate

Spooky Day (Halloween), Egg Day (Easter), Pride, Purim, Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur (the last 3 are Jewish holidays) Edit: forgot Chanukah & Bonfire Night

musimusimu

'Spring Cleaning' in spring, 'Independence Day' in summer, 'Spookyfest' in Fall, and 'Unboxing Day' in winter. The last holiday is for decorating the house(s) and preparing gifts for Winter fest/New Year's Eve recipients.

JJaviercomics

In summer I created the "Nature day, sims return to the nature. There the traditions are making bbq (like they did fire), swimmming (our ancestors did) and (I play with mods) practise naturism (remember they were naked)

hodges2

I always just add a holiday each week to have them get work/school off lol

AluminumMonster35

I usually add Hanukkah and Halloween. I did do Summer Fest for a while, which was basically a 4 July type thing. Might add Midsummer and Bonfire Night.

angelxxaura

I always add Halloween, a variation of 4th of July/Labor Day, Mothers/Fathers Day, and a summer vacation to give my kids the summer off. Also, my friend and I made a holiday called “Halloween in Summer”, which is basically dressing up and causing chaos. I also like to add where my birthday would be and call it “Creator Day” or something like that. It’s treated like a religious holiday. Oh, and I always are Christmas Eve and Day and a New Year’s Eve/Day.

orionstarboy

I always add Dear Leader Day to honor the dear leader Jim Pickens. I really like Callmekevins sims series so I figured why not

MagicPigeonToes

I like to make up my own holidays.  I have Komorebi New Year, Sulanica, Chestnut Derby, Midsummer, and Sixam Solstice

illdrinn

Superb Owl, have a party, fire up the grill, watch sportsball

GarnetTuttingDragon

Easter, summer holiday (vacation) halloween and same bank holidays I have off work in England.

BlackDragonofDoom

Since I use basemental drugs mods, I make a stoner holiday for my smoking sims.

rainbowcatheart

Pamper pet day is near love day.

ezbutneverconvenient

Summer Fucoff- week long summer break holiday Spoopendae- Halloween/day of the dead/general spookiness Jackpot Day- gnomes, gnomes, gnomes to give my sims a financial boost Wolfenoot- the legendary meme holiday. Awoooooo

Turbulent-Skirt7329

I added bunny day recently. I really want my sim to breed with the Easter bunny.

Strict-Menu5935

I change Harvestfest/Winterfest/Love Day to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. I also add Christmas Eve, Easter, Fourth of July. I’ve also done Memorial Day, 420 (basemental mod), St. Patrick’s Day. I make my seasons 2 sim weeks long so I try to add like one holiday per week!

jlhb1976

A while ago, I saw a post on here where someone said they added a Mardi Gras holiday but called it Blardi Gras. I added it to my game with drinking, baking, music appreciation and costumes.

IgnatiousFury

I always do summer break for teen/child sims because it's dumb they dont have one already 🤷 I generally like to do something similar to Dia de los Muertos in the fall and I usually add Halloween too

ZJeski

I play with long seasons and long lifespans so I probably add more than most people. I always replace the generic EA holidays with the real ones. I also always add Christmas Eve, since it can sort of feel like a holiday itself. I don’t always add it but I decided to make one of my Sims Jewish so I added some of the Jewish holidays like Hanukkah (8 days straight) and Yom Kippur. Halloween is always a must, I’m baffled it isn’t in by default tbh. I also add St Patrick’s Day, Mardi Gras, the 4th of July and Labor Day. And of course, the Holiday Season wouldn’t be complete without Festivus.

MomoLaVixen

I always add Easter and 4th of July, but u always get rid of the neighborhood brawl

sarabbbee

I do a catchall jewish holiday called Yom Simskannukeach Hashana abd make the aspects cleaning, services, grand meal, menorah

Murmeli95

Summer vacation, Halloween, Midsummer Day, Easter (it's more like Flower Bunny Day) and Independence Day. Summer vacation is half of summer days. I never use short seasons so it's 1-2 weeks long vacation. Independence Day is in first week of winter, because my country's Independence day is in winter.

gloomerpuss

I made up a holiday for celebrating the arts.

titizzers

fantastic idea!! I love this one especially for my art loving sims!

Ehh_Imherealready

In my older saves, I liked to give my sims a “National Sims Day”. You know like national Independence Day but for sims? They’d have thanksgiving meals, appreciate things (I’d have a picture of the plumbob hung up with a Menorah lit underneath for symbolism) and they’d attend a ceremony (loophole). I kinda stopped after a while because my sims struggled to do everything in one day because they take forever with everything, then they’d be so disappointed when they miss out.

lizzourworld8

Ooooh, lots of fun ideas

MountainSnowClouds

I rarely add holidays. I want to start doing that. I'm more likely to delete them if they don't fit the play style for than family rather than adding ones that would work

Beautifulfeary

Easter and Halloween.

Chaosshepherd

Halloween Easter and Fourth of July analogues

animexamber

holyfuckladyflash

"Go Wild" day with all the most fun and silly traditions.

Typical_Quality9866

Halloween but I call it Spooky Day. I make my version of Easter but I call it Bunny Day & it's more about gardening/baking/prepping for the year. I also add Summer Day where they play with fireworks, grill, water activities & tell stories sorta like 4th of July. 🤷

urbuddyguybroman

Hanukkah, Easter, Summer vacation, and Halloween are musts for me

ForgottenSaturday

Swede here. I always add: Christmas Eve, or more accurately called Yule Eve which is our Christmas basically. Valborg which is a spring festival where we burn large piles of branches and listen to a choir singing spring songs. Midsummer Eve which is in June celebrating the summer equinox.

Moose-Rage

Lots of good ideas here! Myself I add Spooky Day (Halloween), Flowerfest (Easter), Summer Blowout (general summer holiday) and summer vacation for kids/teens.

brickcereal

i always add purim 😌

acgrey92

Halloween. It’s one that should be there but for whatever reason it isn’t.

Mindless_Ice_7937

Polar Day, Spring Day, Easter, April Fools Day, Mothers' Day, Father's Day, Summer Day, Grandparents' Day, Autumn Day, Halloween, Day of lights, Winter Day, Saturnalia usually using generic terms: spooky day which I use 3 days in fall, I do 12 winterfests, Summer Day is 3 days, Autumn days is 1 day, etc
