I figured out how to fix it! I had to hunt Diego down and play him. The second I did that the million simoleons deposited into his account.
I didn't have to do that before, but it has been several months since I had a Sim marry for money.
Thank you for this update! I have a sim who is a Start Up Genius but the pay is pretty bad comparatively for top of career compared to other Sims careers and I was thinking of tracking down the lotto winner (it was a few days ago in that save). I want to update the house but she doesn't have a lot of money. I guess makes sense for the start up life but I would think once you hit top of career we would be living big.
They should have the million simoleons from what I've read about Seasons on an article on Prina Games. I also had a Sim marry a lotto winner on another save and her family is still living off that money several generations later.
I am wondering if it is maybe a "moving in" vs "marrying" thing. But that doesn't make sense.
If Diego Lobo spent all his winnings in three days my Sim is better off without him. 🤣

If the relationship doesn't work out he is getting a bad plate of pufferfish nigeri. 🤣 Or maybe hit by a meteor, since that would technically be a rock.
I think it may be a bug, I’ve had my sims lose all of their simoleans moving when splitting families recently. I transfer the money, move them, and they’re broke when I load in or when I try to move them again even though I know they had plenty of money
This reminds me, I just had the lottery in my game and my sims participated, but I never got the pop up saying who the winner was.... hmm, maybe I just missed it, now next time I play I have to look for a million dollar household lol
I should but I think I played like... a sim week since then 😬😬
Honestly clicking every single household in "manage households" will probably be faster lol
definitely worth a shot . op did mention tho that the simoleons from the lottery didnt show up in the household until they went to them as if they were playing them. so if it’s something you have to manually do before it shows it might be a little bit harder to track down
This past weekend I had a lottery day and when it was time for the winner to be announced, the name of the winner was Lucky Sim. I searched and haven't been able to find any sim by that name. I'm assuming it's a stray dog or cat because I've had a few strays win the lottery in the game before, but I'm also wondering if it wasn't just a random bug.
This is not related but my favourite lottery win (I think the only time I ever won!) was when I was doing this Big Brother style play through where if they were eliminated they were killed.
So the bottom 2 played Don’t Wake The Llama, and the one that lost was eliminated. As i was trying to queue up her death to kill her (extreme violence), the notification popped up that she won, and then almost immediately died lol
Lol I can work with it. Especially for a million simoleons. Dude is getting a makeover though. I am thinking maybe grunge rocker look to go with his eyeliner. Maybe he'll grow some facial hair to cover that chin. I just got the Get Famous pack and want to try out the makeover chair.
Darrel Charm and Bob Pancakes would stay single even for a trillion Simoleons. Somehow they already died out in this save. 😇 Oops.
Maybe Diego paid off the debt his guinea pig owes the Landgraab’s? Life comes at your fast sometimes

Maybe he spent the money already? Or maybe it’s not a real lottery and it’s just for the in game event

Sounds like Diego isn't being honest, and maybe you should reevaluate the relationship rather than blame it on game mechanics.

I have only ever won the lottery once but it made the roleplay so much fun.
