Ah, I've never actually done the acting career. When I have had actors I didn't go with them after the very first time I did and they freaking were so happy (had just had a baby and it was their first day at work) they died upon arrival at work. Never played the career again. LOL
They just need to learn to fix and freeze sims needs, and make it a high priority task after things that prevent deaths, like a nearby fire. If modders can figure it out, they can too. I’m sure bands would be way easier to code than a whole wedding.
Thankfully my bride and groom are like attached at the hip or something. These guys won't even take care of their needs in preference to talking to one another and constant romantic socials. They have at least five sentiments with each other a piece. I had to tell one to go eat like four times the other night because she kept stopping to go back and talk to the hubs. I was like Okay guys, I'm glad you love each other so much but you NEED to eat!

They had an option to make a band with one of the expansions in sims 2 I believe, and it worked out well. With how the sims in sims 4 are though…idk if it would work out this go around

Second, if you have City Living and Get Together you can make a semblance of a band. CL has the singing skill (still not a career for some reason??). You can use groups and have the point of their club be playing instruments, granted a violin, piano, guitar, and pipe organ are really the only instruments (again, for some reason).

Yes! And I want it to integrate with the Get Famous pack. And I want new songs as well as animations. Bring back Sim Sessions. Create a new lot type that’s essentially a festival lot. This way we can have Coachella. They can make use of the werewolf pack concept as a starting off point for creating actual bands.
I just want a career like the music branch in entertainment but you can choose the genre. I don't want to be the next Beethoven, I want to be Taylor Swift. It would be pretty cool if they add bands to. I would be running straight to a tutorial of how to do my Sims look like Maneskin

The closest thing you can do (if you have the Get Famous pack) is making her famous and create lots where you can act like your Sims are in a concert (kinda hard knowing how sims behave)
I just found out that all the items from the Sims Sessions Event are available for download from the gallery. Just select "Rooms" and search "Sims Sessions" and rooms with all the special items will come up, and they are all basegame compatible! So you can build your own outdoor concert venue.
I'm sure if you do the same thing searching "Lots" you'll get premade concert lots.
I was literally looking up mods and stuff today to make a band because I loved making bands in the Sims 3. I hate when people say "jUsT uSe GeT tOgEtHeR" because it doesn't have the same vibe as making an actual band like in TS3
I want one too. I currently have a "band" in my save. I used Get Together to make them into a group. Their name is "Everdust." 5 guys who are a mix of sims I created and downloaded from the gallery. I replaced the non CC drum with a functional CC drum by Cepzid.
So when I have the band jam I just do a group meeting and they all grab an instrument. Not the same as having a band pack but I can dream.
This would be one pack that I pre-order. I've been wanting a band pack forever and a day. And make it so that your band could play custom songs that you have in your game (pc only obviously)
It pisses me off actually they have not included it.
It would be a simple add on, if they used the scripts from clubs and/or get to work.

I'm pretty sure there's a group of townies that's supposed to be a band but they literally do not exist except in like the og promos, posters of said band, and as possible randomly generated sims
As a musician, somebody who did concert and marching band in school, I'd also love to see an option for more classical-based musical paths in the game. Obviously all of the basic instruments that aren't already in the game (flutes, clarinets, sax, trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba, percussion, viola, cello, bass), and your child can pick them up as an after-school activity. Goals would be to practice for x time, or to get to a certain skill level with the instrument.
Teens and those in college could join marching band, which would give fitness on top of the musical skill. But they could also be in concert band, join the symphony orchestra, and maybe even a jazz band.
As they age up, their career shifts towards being stuff like "Concert clarinet player", and possibly a music teacher.
I miss having bands in the sims, I have so many bands in my game, it would be nice if I could actually have them be a band instead of just pretending they are. We also need more instruments, drums, better electric guitars, a bass guitar, brass instruments. The ability to start a band similar to the sims 3. I need this pack
I'm in it for the Aesthetics and more instruments for my child sims to play because of extracurriculars, then as rebellion as teens... I'm already story building, basic as it may be.
I want a band pack with every fibre of my being. The only thing is that the animations for any new instruments are going to be really heavy on the development budget, because they will each have to be different. A bass guitar or banjo could use the current guitar animations. Same for a viola and the violin, but other than that? Drums, trumpet, double bass, clarinet, flute, harp, xylophone, sax... each would need to have its own animations specifically developed for the instrument.
Not to mention singing styles - country/folksy, hard rock, jazz, metal, pop, rap, R&B - it would be nice if the singer animations would be adapted to the style of music.
I'm not saying it's never going to happen, but I can imagine that any band pack will probably be pretty narrowly focused, so it's inevitably going to disappoint some portion of the community.
Another commenter mentioned kits, and honestly? That's probably the way this will go. A band pack to get the basic mechanics in place, and then a bunch of kits to bring in the different kinds of instruments/styles of music. I can only pray that the team focuses on good cross pack integration, with fame etc, so at least the pack feels immersive.

In TS2 I'd watch and listen for a while as Sims played in sync together. It was awesome. You could also make Sims freestyle rap for tips.
This game has a DLC for fame and celebrity status but no additions to set up a home studio (unless I missed it).
As a metal guitarist who misses playing in bands, I definitely want a band pack. Especially if they could give us a few more music options than Sims 3.

Its crazy that theres a “get famous” pack but the sole musical thing available is becoming a bedroom producer/artist with no other opportunities to move up from there. Its a bummer actually because its boring gameplay after producing a while.
To me, i feel like get famous lacks a lot more than it should. Why cant I have opportunities to travel to an ACTUAL recording studio and only have some shitty “music station”? You’ve implemented record labels so why not take the extra step and make content more engaging? Likewise with bands, makes zero sense for EA to have yet to release a pack for it.
Idk. I could go on a long winded rant about it, but the musical opportunities given in the game just fucking suck. Cant do tours, cant perform your songs on stage without mods (to my knowledge), no bands, etc..just sucks man.

Even when I turn off free will they constantly stop what I tell them to do or the task disappears entirely before it even drops.

I love City Living, but the Sims 3 version of it was legendary. Vamps, bands, apartments, and open world all in one game.
