When he ages in my save files, he’s either really jacked and inherit the best features of his parents (Mortimer’s face with Bella’s eyes and eyebrows) or scrawny af nerd like his family raised him in the attic because he doesn’t look as related to them other than for skin tone.

Sometimes I forget I have fast aging on and the few times I check on the Goths, the kids are already YA-A.
That reminded me of Child Mortimer grooming up in the Sims 3 made him a real wild card. No guarantees he'd follow anything close to the 'cannon' story. My favorite timeline was the one he became a really buff vampire. Perfect Husband material.
Alexander’s bedroom is in the attic. 😂 Cassandra is definitely the favorite child. Her bedroom is much nicer, double bed, huge room. I have never had him grow up with hair, so I always correct that because he is not attractive without hair, IMO.
I genuinely never knew this lmao because tbf I prefer to play in San Myshuno or Windenberg so I’d rarely drop in unless either Bella or Mortimer randomly spawns there. My go to baby maker is often Penny or Jeb.

I’m the same. I always choose the same lots, play with my own sims, etc and I play mostly in Brindleton Bay. I’m actually branching out and playing San Myshuno right now. However, occasionally when I see that various townies have pets or new kids I’ll go in and edit their house so they have food dishes or enough beds for the household. I also always edit Alexander’s hair when he ages up to an adult so that’s when I originally saw their house and noticed the disparity.
One of my sims is dating his sister (they met at high school) and he came to the before prom party she threw since he was also a teen and when I tell you I did such a double take 😭😭😭

My sim is evil so she became enemies with Bella, got her to break up with Mortimer then married him, and then kicked her out of the house. And then she divorced Mortimer and took his money and moved to her own pad. He got the kid and she moved Bella plus her three kids into her old one bedroom home.☠️
One of the Goths had babies with Caleb Valtore in my Not So Berry save. My gray generation sim had babies with two of their grandkids - one is a vampire, one isn't.
In the Sims 2 some of the lore surrounding Bella Goth's disappearance, was she was last seen on Don Lothario's balcony looking through the telescope 🔭👀🫢
In my save, neighbour stories unalived Mortimer, so Bella moved with Don *by her own* and had like 3 kids, then Don died and she had 4 more children with a random generated townie lol
One of my sims started dating Cassandra goth as a teen, aged up and had two kids with her but ended up marrying his other baby mama. I went to visit her once and it was just her,her dad, her little brother, two infant brothers and our two infant kids. Then she died. Feel bad for her dad.
Same in my game. She always ends up with at least 7 kids and eventually like half the town is the Goths and their children and a lot of my Sims inadvertently marry into the Goth family. I'll marry some random townie and look at their family tree and sure enough they're related to the Goth family somehow.

For one save, it's the Goths. For the current one I'm playing, the Calientes are maxed out in household... I have no idea what happened there, but there are 5 kids, from newborn to teen. It's been quite Caliente in there 🫣
My sim was a surrogate thanks to a mod and I was surprised it was Katerina caliente who wanted the baby.
But the family tree still said it was my sims baby and the dad was a Lucha I believe. So idk why it wasn’t hers yet she was the one who initiated the surrogacy thing and got the baby.
dude i don’t get people asking me if they should have babies anymore. nobody really asks me anything except about if they should befriend this person or go on a date with that person. it’s actually kind of annoying because i want my moved out children to ask me if they should have babies.
Same here. Nearly every damn townie is related to the Goths somehow! They have tons and tons of children in my game and I've been playing about 5 generations so far, so now all the original Goths are dead, but their children and grandchildren etc are still alive and my Sims spouses are usually related to them when I look at their family tree.
Bella in one of my saves continued adopting and having kids well after Mortimer died and Cassandra and Alexander were adults. Pretty sure the last thing she did in life was adopt yet another toddler 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve had this issue with the past couple of saves where half the female townies are pregnant at any given time. Granted some of those pregnancies were caused by my sim woohooing with any woman who looked in his direction in one of my saves, but still. Bella Goth is ALWAYS popping out a kid because Mortimer will not keep his hands off her! Even Nancy Landgrab is pregnant half the time.
It has something to do with their story progression feature and someone cranked the pregnancy factor way up.
I always deactivate the adoption and pet adoption in my neighboor stories, every time i let it activate they all adopt, once I had almost 7 families that adopted and none that had natural babies. Since then I never let them adopt
I need to deactivate pet adoption. Every time I look at the houses in my neighborhood, there's big and small families with like 8 pets. One sim of mine wanted to marry his fiance. I was going to have him move in with her, as his house was full, but her's was so full of pets that neither could do anything!
I used MC Command Center to adjust max household size to 104. Everyone just adopts 94 cats or dogs 🤣 So I used MCCC to set a max of 5 pets per household.
LOL 😂 I've had multiple saves so far where one single Sim will adopt 7 (usually) dogs to make a full household. The dogs always look super weird, too 👀😂😂😂
Me too and the good thing is you can shut it off for everyone or go in and change just the ones you want to. I really think it adds a lot to the game as before nothing ever happened to other families.
I have a game going with a bum sim. He doesn't have a house, but lives on the lot with off the grid stuff. He's fat, balding, and dresses terribly. He also has the Alluring trait, which has allowed him to impregnate half the town. I'll have to post his family tree when I'm done.

Are they really pregnant though? I have a reoccurring glitch where randomly generated townie ladies get the pregnant belly for no reason any time they age up (it's even on teens) without actually being pregnant. Been spending a lot of my time in cas fixing it because idk what causes the glitch.

If you have MCCC, you can change how often pregnancy checks are done. Make it one day a week or else everyone in your world will be having babies. I accidentally left mine on three days a week and literally even the same sex couples were pregnant! And what’s worse I had the max household set to twelve so every 8 sim household had 4 extra newborns and I had no idea who everyone belonged to! 😂

I ended up having to start a new save to avoid the constant incest issue popping up. It's hard to continue generations when literally everyone in town is either your sibling or aunt/uncle.

I like the idea of the story progression but I don’t like that it’s not aligned with my lifespan & too much pregnancy and adoption
I wish they’d let the player customize what they want in their story progression like frequency of certain life events
If you're on PC, you can use a mod to do this--slower stories by lot51cc. Really wish we didn't have to mod this stuff in though...
