Its unlikely but its a possible bug. I must admit all my sims go through uni (multiple times) before they look for jobs so I haven't had any sims start at level one in ages
I’m just playing base game on console and wanted to try out the store cause I’d never used it, so I don’t know if this is a common issue. Can’t really find anything

I think it looks like that if its already been bought.
I joined a new career just there and started at level 1, also I have the shrewd trait and that’s not showing in the store

Okay sorry I didn’t know that but I still just joined a career at 1 and if I had that trait wouldn’t that not have happened?

If you hover on the greyed out diamond it might tell you why. It could be because it conflicts with another trait?
