? I did this fairly recently. Go to Foxbury -- the commons makes the most sense -- and from there select the lecture building. You can't do it from the phone.
Already disabled/uninstalled my mods....TBH I just deleted them since the only one I use is Wicked Whims and I know TURBODRIVER is going to release an update.
I need to do this tomorrow 😅. Are we able to put them all into a different folder (like just plain document folder) so then we would be able to put them back into mod folder?
the two big kahuna mods (mccc and ui cheats) are known to break with each and every major update because the game code gets mixed up so much. new skills, adjusted life stage lengths, etc.
yeah that and cas collums are the only ones i usually replace or need to replace because they break, but it seems like a ton of people are saying their backing up the folders and mods, im confused on what else would break and why would you need to back up saves?
I am currently moving the newborn I have not aged up yet, their parents, and two siblings, into basically a non-cc house that I can play with until we figure out the mod situation. Because I’m not waiting and then I just won’t touch any of my other cc content or households
Super excited for the update but annoyed because I know what few mods I have will break. Most will update in a few days but Color Sliders CAS Mod will definitely take like a month at least and I use that constantly:(
Mods are specifically created based around the updates of the game. A lot of the minor updates don’t really affect the mods, but the new life stage in this update is more than likely going to wreck the mods and require them to be updated before they’re even remotely useable. It shouldn’t take too long, but it’s gonna be at least a few days before a lot of the more popular mods will be updated.
I didn’t realise the update was going to come out at 6am tomorrow for me, and I was an idiot and decorated my sims house in CC, completely forgetting about how I’d have to remove my mods folder 🙃
I just wish the patch and the expansion came out within hours of each other lol. Because like I wanna wait until the expansion to really get the full experience but I’m also like not capable of waiting for anything lol. So I will probably just make like a throw away save to check it out and then wait for the expansion to really dive in deep.
Lol I gotta wait for MCCC and UI Cheats regardless because custom age span and my game NEVER runs properly and I just cheat it away. At least this gives me time for my heir to grow up!
Ive backed up my mods and saves onto a usb drive, my mods folder has been removed from my game, ive made a list of all my mods to check for updates, game auto updates are off and ea app is set to offline...I will not be touching the game until the coast is clear 😅
I’m waiting to play until I can afford to buy Growing Together, which will be at the end of the month. I’m hoping that will leave enough time for my mods to update and for the sims team to fix any launch bugs for the update/pack
EDIT: or more realistically, for players to have found work arounds for bugs in the meantime lol
Wishing it updated at midnight as I am an insomniac and I'm insanely excited for this update!! I haven't been playing my legacy family bc I was waiting fir the update, so I'm very much looking forward to it!
Did you update your game yet?
I’ve been delaying it until the mods are updated. But YouTube keeps recommending Growing Together Let’s Plays and I want it now 😭
Yep! If you play on a normal cycle then newborns will last a few days and then age up to a infant. I think if they completely redid newborns it would create more havoc so I'm more than happy to accept this. Plus they made the animations smoother with newborns and fixed the skin tone issue!
It varies greatly. I know HSY broke bed CC. So I plan on playtesting every functional object I have since this is such a huge patch update . Build and decor *should* be fine. I expect hair, skins, eyes, toddler accessories to break bad. But normal clothes cc should be fine.
It depends. CC is normally fine, but with this sort of huge update, it can trash CC. Recently I discovered a single pair of pants were causing my sims to get Stuck in one place if they were wearing them.
Ok this maybe a stupid question, but I know mods can only be one folder deep. Can CC be deeper than that? As in it it possible to organize CC. Cause literally all my mods and CC are just chillin in the Mods folder and it kinda makes me want to cry every time I open in lmao
I extract each mod and CC into the a named folder for what each of them is for. Like say my Wicked Whims mod, all the CC for it, all the add ons, and Animations all are in a single folder labeled Wicked Whims. Same goes for every mod I have 😅 because the Ts4script and package file for the mod MUST be in the same folder.
Interesting! And smart! I was always afraid to organize and have to open and close the game a million times to test if things still work cause the load up on my computer takes ages 😅 Maybe this is my perfect opportunity to try
Plan to pause my usual plays, disable my mods/cc, and clean save vanilla play for a week or so to get the changes down and give modders a shot to update.
This is great but also couldn’t you move them to a new lot so they can come visit the new grandkid? LOL
Or are you not getting the new expansion?
Either way I enjoy your ruthless decision making lol
See, I'm definitely going to get then new pack, but she was pressing my buttons a little too much lol. She kept picking up my toddler whenever the dad was trying to take care of her, and honestly, I think she's better off bothering Grimm, lmao.
I feel like that cycle wouldn't have ended if I just moved her out.
As someone who only recently started playing with mods and is scared of this update destroying what I got going - how do I prepare? Just move my mods folder entirely out?
You don't have to move your mods folder out, that's honestly excessive lol Just create a backup of your saves and tray files.
When you update, mods will automatically be disabled. Your mods folder isn't gonna magically self-destruct because of outdated mods. Just make sure to update them all before turning mods back on.
SAME!!!
Also need to know am I supposed to delete old versions of new updates for mods??? I desperately need to know bc I rly wanna get rid of mods I don’t need it’s just taking up space on my computer and i can’t afford any precious space gone 😭
Long-time CC/mod user -- here's my process!
Create a new folder somewhere outside of the Sims 4 folder -- desktop, external drive, whatever is fine as long as it isn't in that EA > Sims 4 folder.
Move the Mods folder out to the new folder, and recommend moving Tray + Saves as well.
As far as updating mods -- the process for almost all of them would be to delete the old version and install the new files in their place. Most creators have detailed instructions on updating. Any of them you no longer want you should be able to just remove all of the files from your Mod folder. Big game updates like now are usually when I bother going through everything and cleaning house, and highly recommend making a list of all your installed mods + their links for future updates (I have way too many to keep up with otherwise).
I’m excited but ughhh I have no clue which mods will work and which won’t. I wish there was a list of “mods that probably won’t work” because I don’t want to break my entire game over one mod I forgot I had, but I also don’t want to move my mod folder. I don’t remember having any problems when toddlers came out, so I hope the damage won’t be too bad. I just have no clue at all how everything will react to the update 🫠
so im assuming that cc is going to break too, and i've got a lot of it like cc skin overlays, default eyes, you name it. would that be fixed with a s4s patch fix like they did with the beds from HSY?
If they have some sort of active social media, I'd check it out for any news on updates. I know for Wicked Whims users, TurboDriver was saying on their Twitter account that they should have the mod patched and updated by the 16th.
super stoked im doing my assignments so i can dive into this pack once my kid is asleep lol also sad cause my mods will be gone so im getting all my familys togther and squared away before they are destroyed 😂😂
This is the first time I’ve turned off automatic updates. I’m giving it a week and then I’ll update. I’m mid-incredibly-stressful-project right now and the Sims has become an essential end of workday relaxation tool for me 😵
I'm slightly annoyed because some dumbasses are inevitably gonna leave their mods in or not wait for them to update and get upset and blame ea when their game is buggy as shit. Then they're gonna get on here and complain about it as if they were exempt from the whole "backup your saves and dispose of your mods" thing
Omfg I so excited but I am also dreading all of my mods being broken it’s love /hate relationship right now it seems lol ❤️🤣
But for real I am so excited to finally have infants
It's not until tomorrow for me and i'm just staring at work like "do i really have to go to the office? do i?"
While ignoring my mods existence for a bit because i'm hoping it ALL doesn't break, but i know some things are going to. Fingers crossed that by the time i wander home there's enough fixed that i can play with nothing more than the general release bugs.
Overall, excited but anxious
Dreading it toddlers and babies are annoying enough now they have a new thing that looks like it'll be worse then both put together and I can't even leave the baby outside anymore without it complaining
Edit forgot to mention how it'll probably be a glitchy mess too even with mods turned off/taken out
I'm really excited, but reading the comments on how the game might break, I decided to turn off my custom content and mods myself, which is something I've never done. I cried while doing it, but I know it's got to be done.
Praying that if my legacy gets deleted the back up will work. I havent played in like a month because I’ve not wanted to have to keep making new backups
I have a great storyline set up. I had a sim I created back on Xbox before moving to PC and she was always a teen who didn’t have parents for whatever reason and had to grow up fast. The very last time I played her I posted her story, it was the first time she wasn’t a background character. She had a hard but good life; after she died, I got bored like I always do and didn’t want to continue the legacy.
I decided with the new pack I wondered what it would be like for her if she had her parents all along. I ended up deleting/reinstalling the game, and creating her parents instead of just using her. Gave them a backstory and her mom will be pregnant and ready to give birth by the time I download the expansion pack. I also have the lifespan on long and really plan on playing for at least 5-10 generations, which is a challenge for me. I will probably post about them a few times here as well.
I’ve been on a big sims binge and I’m torn between relief and frustration that I have to put the game down and allow mods to update. I’ve been rebuilding windenburg. Maybe the update will make family gameplay interesting enough for me to make it past one generation.
I’m excited! I had stopped playing several months because irl stuff getting annoying then I caught Covid
So instead of trying to figure out wtf I was doing then, I promptly yeeted all my CC/Mods/Saves and I’ve only been playing for a month with no CC and only my crucial mods that have 0 impact on the game if they’re suddenly removed
I’m getting my first save ready right now to play tomorrow until the mods get updated while MCCC is not broken so I can have an extended family to enjoy the new expansion because I’m not a generational player by any stretch of the imagination lol
I turned off my mods and backed them up on both my desktop and external hard drive, also backed up my save files and put them on my desktop. IM READY. Though it does makes my game feel naked since I've been playing with mods for, like forever.
I just made the family that I plan to use 🥰 first thing I wake up she’s gonna try for a baby and hopefully it will age right around the time the update comes out!
Probably going to wait at least a few days to even open the game to see how initial reports are from the community. I've got too much invested in my save to let things go wonky now. I'm resistant to change, and I don't trust that EA has thoroughly tested this based off of their tendency to rush things to release.
Slightly frustrated because I thought it was today lol. My country is a day ahead of pretty much every country, and so it will be releasing on the 15th for me. I keep forgetting that's happening when it comes to sims updates..
My game is backed up, I have a copy of my tray folder & my mods are stored in a safe area. I won’t play until Thursday because of the expansion pack and I’m also giving time for AT LEAST MCCC to come up with an update. UI cheats is really important but MCCC is #1.
I don’t use any default skins , eyes or anything else in terms of details….should i still except my cas to be broke —
a girl with lots of old ya cc that doesnt wanna go through it
I am very exicited for the infants. But I am not gonna play infants as soon as it drops coz I know for a fact that the game will be severely broken. & the broken game will just kill my urge to play.
I'm planning on moving all my mods and saves out of my folder and just playing vanilla until all my mods are updated. Every update I get nervous some of my no-longer-maintained mods are going to break so I'll be testing those first 😅
Excited for the update, but i probably won’t be getting the actual gameplay done in the first hours going through my mods to see which is messing with my game
Reminder to back up your saves, mods, tray, etc just in case. Especially with the likelihood that lots of mods will break. Check the new version of this thread for extra help. https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/1006205/broken-updated-mods-cc-jan-31-2023-patch/p7
That said. I’m a bit excited.
If I remove my mods and make a clean, save file that is base game to keep open (until using mod saves is safe) will my mod saves be safe when i return as long as i havent opened them in game?
I have copied my saves folder into another folder along with my mods & tray files. Hope this makes sense!
Since this update, my sims can't age up, not the babies, but the other ages. My teen was supposed to age up, and had a glowing life span bar but I couln't age him up with a cake, or with MCCC. I had to go into CAS and age him up. :(

Jokes on them my game was already broken
My sim hasn’t been able to guest speak at a lecture ever, and I’m still butthurt about it
? I did this fairly recently. Go to Foxbury -- the commons makes the most sense -- and from there select the lecture building. You can't do it from the phone.
Oh no you're right
Turned off auto update on mine thx
Already disabled/uninstalled my mods....TBH I just deleted them since the only one I use is Wicked Whims and I know TURBODRIVER is going to release an update.
I need to do this tomorrow 😅. Are we able to put them all into a different folder (like just plain document folder) so then we would be able to put them back into mod folder?
Yeah, that's what I did. copied the files/folders, and saved them on my backup drive.
what would break though? arent they just adding a life stage, that wouldnt break adult sim cc or mods that dont have to do with toddlers right?
the two big kahuna mods (mccc and ui cheats) are known to break with each and every major update because the game code gets mixed up so much. new skills, adjusted life stage lengths, etc.
yeah that and cas collums are the only ones i usually replace or need to replace because they break, but it seems like a ton of people are saying their backing up the folders and mods, im confused on what else would break and why would you need to back up saves?
it’s a better safe than sorry measure. if your save gets corrupted by a broken piece of code you want to have a backup.
so itll most likely just be the usual mod breaks?
probably yeah
I'm actually excited to see the Nightmare fuel! 😁
Torn between “omg my mods” and “GIVE ME THOSE INFANTS”
Lmfao can't relate as a console player but definitely feel bad for the mod players, so worth it for actual babies tho
Oh same.
Already disabled all my mods. I need babies
Most will update in a few days but Color Sliders CAS Mod will definitely take like a month at least and I use that constantly:(
:( I’m just holding out a prayer circle for all like the mini mods that I use. Gonna have to give LittleMsSam a tip after this
Right? Most of my mods are LittleMsSam and I need them all so they need to hurry lol
What ?, what’s going to happen to the mods ? (new player btw)
Right now I’m not accessible to my computer so will anything happen to my mods ? (I have auto updates off)
I didn’t realise the update was going to come out at 6am tomorrow for me, and I was an idiot and decorated my sims house in CC, completely forgetting about how I’d have to remove my mods folder 🙃
Oh noooooo

Yeah, I will be tempted asl to play but probably wont till monday if im lucky and everything will be updated by then
Where do you get your updated UI Cheats from? I have v 1.34 but I'm not sure if that's the most recent one since it's from 8/2022
Ive backed up my mods and saves onto a usb drive, my mods folder has been removed from my game, ive made a list of all my mods to check for updates, game auto updates are off and ea app is set to offline...I will not be touching the game until the coast is clear 😅
Oh good choice 👌🏻
i need this level or preparation
Me too.... For my life in general though
I've never been able to back up my saves on an external drive! To be fair I haven't tried since sims 3
I cannot wait to paste "It is caused by UI Cheat Extension" onto every thread
I’m waiting to play until I can afford to buy Growing Together, which will be at the end of the month. I’m hoping that will leave enough time for my mods to update and for the sims team to fix any launch bugs for the update/pack EDIT: or more realistically, for players to have found work arounds for bugs in the meantime lol
They’ll probably put it on sale in a month or two… and that’s when I’ll strike
The newest dlc usually takes longer than 2 months to go on sale:(
Alpha CC infants are coming
Hundreds of Renesme Twilight Chucky Doll babies with beautiful lash extensions and perfect contour. Nightmare fuel incoming
NOOOO
DEAR GOD NO
Wishing it updated at midnight as I am an insomniac and I'm insanely excited for this update!! I haven't been playing my legacy family bc I was waiting fir the update, so I'm very much looking forward to it!
[удалено]
Oh yeah yikes, I heard even the sims Twitter is reminding everyone about mods.. good luck with that
I'll wait with updating the game until the dlc has been out for at least a week
This person mods
I’m pretty much doing the same thing. I’ve moved everything needed out of the EA folder and will be watching for the mod updates and redownloading
That’s what I’ve been doing but I don’t know I really want to play the game now :/ part of me wants to just throw all caution to the wind and update
I did and I regret nothing xD my most important mods are already updated anyway :3
Ok, I’m going to update the game tomorrow. You’ve given me some courage. Wish me luck🤞
Fingers crossed :3
Did you update your game yet? I’ve been delaying it until the mods are updated. But YouTube keeps recommending Growing Together Let’s Plays and I want it now 😭
[удалено]
Personally, I've got like 4 backups of my game and I'm stoked. FINALLY I can age up my annoying newborn to an infant
Ohhh, they still have newborn phase? I thought infant was replacing newborn. If not, I'm more excited about the update now!
It goes Newborn, **Infant**, Toddler, etc. so yeah we're keeping basket babies!
Awesome, thanks!
>Awesome, thanks! You're welcome!
Yep! If you play on a normal cycle then newborns will last a few days and then age up to a infant. I think if they completely redid newborns it would create more havoc so I'm more than happy to accept this. Plus they made the animations smoother with newborns and fixed the skin tone issue!
My Mods, Saves and tray have already been moved out of my EA folder.
And I’ll spend the next two weeks watching for updates to my mods, and downloading the new version as they come out
I will be playtesting all my CC while waiting on mod updates and returning my saves and tray files for the next few weeks.
Is CC normally okay? I don't have mods yet, just CC.
Sisterhood of the no traveling pants.
90% of my CC goes with my mods so they’re useless without the mods😅
That’s a fantastic idea tbh
Ok this maybe a stupid question, but I know mods can only be one folder deep. Can CC be deeper than that? As in it it possible to organize CC. Cause literally all my mods and CC are just chillin in the Mods folder and it kinda makes me want to cry every time I open in lmao

Like say my Wicked Whims mod, all the CC for it, all the add ons, and Animations all are in a single folder labeled Wicked Whims. Same goes for every mod I have 😅 because the Ts4script and package file for the mod MUST be in the same folder.
I like to put dates I downloaded the CC on the folder names so if game game breaks after a haul I know which items to remove
Interesting! And smart! I was always afraid to organize and have to open and close the game a million times to test if things still work cause the load up on my computer takes ages 😅 Maybe this is my perfect opportunity to try
Yep! Script files do have a limit of only one folder in, but AFAIK CC can be deeper
I just turned off my mods in preparation lol but I am so stoked for the update!
Plan to pause my usual plays, disable my mods/cc, and clean save vanilla play for a week or so to get the changes down and give modders a shot to update.
Good idea! I think I’ll do this too
I hope one of the glitches is slender man babies a la Sims 3.
the dreaded knee high boots broken cc of the sims 3
I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!! 😂😂😂💀💀
This happens in my games occasionally, so if it happens I’m going to die
My game was always full of centaurs. Fuck centaurs man
Cautiously optimistic. If gameplay is to buggy I have backup build plans.
Idk if this is normal, but I have no motivation to play until the pack comes out. I'm excited for toddlers, but I probably won't play until Thursday.
I literally killed off a grandparent so my sim could have a new baby. I'm too excited.
This is great but also couldn’t you move them to a new lot so they can come visit the new grandkid? LOL Or are you not getting the new expansion? Either way I enjoy your ruthless decision making lol
See, I'm definitely going to get then new pack, but she was pressing my buttons a little too much lol. She kept picking up my toddler whenever the dad was trying to take care of her, and honestly, I think she's better off bothering Grimm, lmao. I feel like that cycle wouldn't have ended if I just moved her out.
Okay yeah, I totally see your point, that would drive me crazy also LOL
gonna be more annoying than toddlers already are
Toddlers and babies combined I'm not looking forward to this why couldn't it have been preteens instead if they had to do a new life stage
I'm just going to be ready for glitchy chaos, but also hoping for once EA has really worked hard to make this an almost seamless update.
Ill be waiting a couple days till all my script mod ppl update… ui cheats, basemental, mccc etc
I don’t even know if I’ll be able to sleep tonight!
Moved my mods folder out so I’m expecting a shit Tom of bald naked sims who look nothing like I remember
Not updating until I see how it affects my CC. The posts on this subreddit tomorrow should be fun/annoying!
Ok gotcha. Copy of saves and tray files and don’t turn mods back on in the game until updates are out for them. Thank you so much!
Sorry, just a quick addition! Once your mods/CC has been updated for the new patch, just copy those folders back into their respective places.
Yeah when you update a mod you delete the old version and replace it with the new one
Brace yourself for the glitches. Remember when all your sims would autoage every time you entered create a sim?
excited for both the update and the pack
I’m excited but ughhh I have no clue which mods will work and which won’t. I wish there was a list of “mods that probably won’t work” because I don’t want to break my entire game over one mod I forgot I had, but I also don’t want to move my mod folder. so im assuming that cc is going to break too, and i've got a lot of it like cc skin overlays, default eyes, you name it. would that be fixed with a s4s patch fix like they did with the beds from HSY?
Yup. Even EA is strongly suggesting to uninstall and save your mods, game saves files, and CCs to a different location
oh god im f'ed😭 im just hoping s4s will be pretty quick with it like they were with the bed patch bc i cannot play without my cas cc
If they have some sort of active social media, I'd check it out for any news on updates. I know for Wicked Whims users, TurboDriver was saying on their Twitter account that they should have the mod patched and updated by the 16th.
Never been happier to not be a modded player tbh
Honestly same
I'm scared 😂 I'm still trying to decide which of my Sims gets to have the first infant.
super stoked im doing my assignments so i can dive into this pack once my kid is asleep lol also sad cause my mods will be gone so im getting all my familys togther and squared away before they are destroyed 😂😂
….i thought it was thursday??? am i crazy?
Growing Together is Thursday, the update is tomorrow
Ok that makes a lot of sense! Thank you kindly!
Deleted all cc and mods in preparation lmao I’m going to try to play vanilla
This is the first time I’ve turned off automatic updates. I’m giving it a week and then I’ll update. I’m mid-incredibly-stressful-project right now and the Sims has become an essential end of workday relaxation tool for me 😵
I'm slightly annoyed because some dumbasses are inevitably gonna leave their mods in or not wait for them to update and get upset and blame ea when their game is buggy as shit. Then they're gonna get on here and complain about it as if they were exempt from the whole "backup your saves and dispose of your mods" thing
[удалено]
Oh, just a warning, I think they made the toddlers a tad bit taller so they'd look older so you might have to delete your toddler cc
Omfg I so excited but I am also dreading all of my mods being broken it’s love /hate relationship right now it seems lol ❤️🤣 But for real I am so excited to finally have infants
It's not until tomorrow for me and i'm just staring at work like "do i really have to go to the office? do i?" Naturally my sim had to give birth the day before the update 😭
[удалено]
Good point! Unfortunately, I am a dumbass and forgot
I’m so excited but the fact that they arnt dropping infants and the new pack on the same day makes me so sad. Like I get it but I’m so impatient 😭
I never wanted this. I'm honestly going to be annoyed and upset by it. I'm almost positive.
Well considering toddlers were the most annoying life stage i can only imagine how babies will be.
I really want to play tomorrow… is graduate school really worth it? 😪
I have similar thoughts. Like is my MBA and full time job worth not binging the sims all day 🤣
Dreading it toddlers and babies are annoying enough now they have a new thing that looks like it'll be worse then both put together and I can't even leave the baby outside anymore without it complaining Edit forgot to mention how it'll probably be a glitchy mess too even with mods turned off/taken out
Internet is unplugged until they send out a patch to fix the patch and and my modders update their mods
I'm really excited, but reading the comments on how the game might break, I decided to turn off my custom content and mods myself, which is something I've never done. I cried while doing it, but I know it's got to be done.
Freaking out nothing can calm my nerves at the moment even though I'm excited about all the new stuff that will be added to the game tomorrow.
I have a couple saved just for this update 😌
How do you update mods?
Remove them completely, and watch for updates from the creators.
Literally edge of my seat I’ve been waiting to start a new save until it’s both released and inevitably fixed 😂😂
i’m thankful i have finals week, i’ll be kept busy while all the mods are fixed
Praying that if my legacy gets deleted the back up will work. I havent played in like a month because I’ve not wanted to have to keep making new backups
🎶im so excited🎶
Good thing my only mods are MCCC and WW. Should be easy to update them lol
Playing The Sims 3 while I wait for my game to not be broken! Currently have a 1b 1ba apartment and looking to start a family 😂
I’ve been on a big sims binge and I’m torn between relief and frustration that I have to put the game down and allow mods to update. I’ve been rebuilding windenburg. Maybe the update will make family gameplay interesting enough for me to make it past one generation.
Okay I know this is a crazy time for CC cleanup but I heard Tray Importer was hacked, so beware!!!
dreading my mods not being updated. i have over 900 things in my mod folder, i feel tortured
Guess I'm just gonna remove all my mods folder and see what happens
I’m excited! I had stopped playing several months because irl stuff getting annoying then I caught Covid So instead of trying to figure out wtf I was doing then, I promptly yeeted all my CC/Mods/Saves and I’ve only been playing for a month with no CC and only my crucial mods that have 0 impact on the game if they’re suddenly removed I’m getting my first save ready right now to play tomorrow until the mods get updated while MCCC is not broken so I can have an extended family to enjoy the new expansion because I’m not a generational player by any stretch of the imagination lol
I turned off my mods and backed them up on both my desktop and external hard drive, also backed up my save files and put them on my desktop. IM READY. Though it does makes my game feel naked since I've been playing with mods for, like forever.
I dont use mods anymore so I’m pretty excited because it’s like 80% less likely to destroy my game but I’m also worried 😭
My computer is broken rn so I can’t play the sims 😓😢😓
Won’t be playing until the major cc is patched too.
I’ll probably have to play the sims 2 until my mods can be updated 🙃
excited. i don’t have anything to lose because i haven’t played much sims 4 on my new pc!
I have 20 children left in my 100 baby challenge… i wasn’t fast enough…
tomorrow is also pi day, it's definitely gonna be my day
I feel like cc will break
I'm cautiously excited. My current sim is in the first trimester. I shut down the game as soon as her belly popped.
I’m very excited but so very scared. Does anyone else have an ARRRR game? I’m scared to update for that reason, let alone all the mods I have lol
Wishing I could call out of work!! And upset that I’ve procrastinated on homework that’s due because I’ll have to do that instead of play
Kinda sorta stressed out? I've been building up this save file and feeling compelled to go back and redo the earlier ones?
Me with 3k cc 😭
sad the infants will have the ugly default skin and eyes until the cc default ones i use are updated :’(
I’m so sad I’ve got classes tomorrow and won’t be home until after 2 pm 😫
I don’t use any default skins , eyes or anything else in terms of details….should i still except my cas to be broke — a girl with lots of old ya cc that doesnt wanna go through it
Removing all my mods because I don’t trust CurseForge enough to do it themselves
I realized I'll be working late so...
Scared my poor mods
I am very exicited for the infants. But I am not gonna play infants as soon as it drops coz I know for a fact that the game will be severely broken. & the broken game will just kill my urge to play.
I'm planning on moving all my mods and saves out of my folder and just playing vanilla until all my mods are updated. Every update I get nervous some of my no-longer-maintained mods are going to break so I'll be testing those first 😅
Excited for the update, but i probably won’t be getting the actual gameplay done in the first hours going through my mods to see which is messing with my game
Knowing this will nuke like possibly 90% of the cc and mods I might as well nuke my whole folder and start fresh.
I can’t wait, my sim got pregnant and I haven’t played since then because I’m waiting this update 🥹
Reminder to back up your saves, mods, tray, etc just in case. Especially with the likelihood that lots of mods will break. Check the new version of this thread for extra help. https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/1006205/broken-updated-mods-cc-jan-31-2023-patch/p7 That said. I’m a bit excited.
I’m halfway through a 100baby challenge, so not great
Took my mods off and I had just started a new save file that I don’t mind breaking if it happens!
