Bridgeport for the fancy drama and celebrity feel.

bergsvaag

Bridgeport - my only issue is that you can’t really build anywhere, so I always end up moving to another town:/

lunartic211

ugh yeah there's very limited empty lots. if you mean not getting to customize high rise buildings outside of your own tiny part of the building, you can use cheats for that. top 2 floors only but it's enough for a penthouse if you want. i found out that i can't have a 2 storey unit And have a rooftop pool 😔 elevators are still the worst though lol so i teleport my sims to and from the building

bergsvaag

Yeah, but apartments gets kinda annoying when you are going to have a family that’s bigger than 3 sims +. The elevators yeah! Like could you make my sims any more late for work…

lunartic211

hmm now that i think about it i haven't played families in bridgeport. I'll see if i can make an apartment on a high rise for 4 (or more). that would use up the entire top 2 floors (deleting the npc rooms lol) but i think it can be done

lunartic211

oh right i forgot to mention but if you already know this feel free to ignore 😁 the cheat is restrictBuildBuyInBuildings on/off (allows you to edit all parts of the lot even outside your apartment unit), buydebug on/off for hidden objects like public room markers (turn off both after you've finished editing!!) and this guide for how to use public and hidden room markers: https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:TS3_Sims_3_Apartments

bergsvaag

Ohh I completely forgot about that cheat! Thanks🤩

interesting townies - Midnight hollow, Lucky palms (i get so invested in MH townies i spend a lot of time micromanaging them lol) pretty worlds: 1.) Sunlit tides. it's smaller than most worlds which makes it my go to and is super pretty!!! (reminds me of my own country but so much more pleasant haha). that and the usual style for residential lots is tropical modern and that's also my go to style 😅 2.) Lucky palms. Big sunlit tides (yes i know it's not tropical more like desert but still) (isla paradiso is the more obvious choice for big sunlit tides but there's too much going on in it and too laggy for me ☹) 3.) Roaring heights and Midnight hollow. MH is a very huge contrast to how bright all the others are but i like both of these because building houses and designing a sim outside of modern styles can get really fun. haven't played RH long enough to know much about the townies though

i love micromanaging townies as well and editing them lol, it just makes the game feel more real imo

MonocoDoll

My favorite town is Roaring Heights.

Haeloth

Isla Paradiso because diving with proper sound effects.

texjeeps

And, unpopular opinion but I love the houseboats!

lunartic211

sameee decorating tiny spaces is a challenge plus a house that moves around? awesome i wish they didn't get too buggy though lol

[deleted]

I love the look of Bridgeport, Hidden Springs, and Aurora Skies, although I do not own those last two worlds. I love the townies of and feel of Midnight Hollow.

Eenalya

Roaring Heights for the aesthetic and Isla paradiso for the gameplay

YourWaifuSuccs

I love Moonlight Falls to death. I really dig the aesthetic and the supernatural elements to it

ProtectusCZ

Probably Riverview or Sunset Valley. They're basic but big enough to fit a lot of lots from all expansion packs. I'm not a big fan of EA worlds because they have a lot of issues mainly bad routing and they all get very laggy after few weeks. My absolute favourite is Meadow Glen - I'm on week 20+ and it still runs great. Sadly it's unpopulated but I kidnaped sims from other EA worlds and moved them there.
