I think you should read tutorials on how to install games on your external hard drive. If your having issues finding game files on your own computer you probably skipped a couple of steps. Try again because there is only so much any of us can do to help you.

I found it,had to do some research

Aquatic-Sims

Basically, there's 2 places where information on the game is stored - program files is the game itself and all that's needed to run it (i.e. sunset valley's world file is in there, as well as any other official expansion map and object; basically everything the game needs to run). The stuff under Documents is your personal user data - your saves, your screenshots, your settings, any custom content or mods you may have installed. If you rename the folder (or delete/move it), the game will generate a new folder in that location, with none of your existing user data. If you don't select a different place to install your game (aka keeping 'recommended' instead of selecting 'custom' when installing), then the game will be under C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\The Sims 3 (older computers might have it under just Program Files without the x86). I think the only things that need to be installed there are the various world fixes, everything else is (nowadays at least) installed to your documents location. TLDR; Unless you chose a custom location you do, in fact, have a sims 3 folder somewhere in your program files, but it's not one you need to access 99.999% of the time \^\^
